Thanks so much for posting this video and perfect instructions. I used it to replace the actuator in my 2006 Yukon Denali. You saved me $685. I got the part for $15 from Amazon. Stealership wanted $700 to repair this.

I love reading feedback like this. It's ridiculous what shops want to charge for something so simple that we can do ourselves. I'm glad my video was helpful and thanks for commenting. It lets me know people are still watching. 👍

Bravo. I paid $124 from a local auto parts store for my actuator but using this video I effortlessly and successfully installed it myself. If you knew how inept I am when it comes to automotive DIY you would all be inspired to do this repair yourself.

I thank you, so much, for I have just finished replacing the actuator in 2005 Escalade, following your instructions! Very informative. Didn't miss anything out, and the view on the whole mechanism is clear to see what is being done as you do it. Swapped my whole assembly out in about 20min. 30min if you count putting the trim pieces back on since those can be stubborn.

The wires will hang in a natural setting once you take part out and replace being they were like that for years(2005) right.

I just ordered an Actuator from Amazon and I should have it tomorrow. Maybe I'll do a Video and see it takes less than a day, lol.
I already have the Panels off, checked the Fuse.. it's good and when I stand at the Actuator and hit the Remote, no sounds, so I'm assuming the Actuator took a crap.... it won't Lock.

Great video, Ben. Made it easy to replace the actuator. SOooo, I replaced it and the new one worked for about 10 cycles and stopped. Sent it back in and ordered another from a different source. this one worked for about 2 weeks. Now it doesn't work any longer. Looks like it also has blown the 10A fuse labeled ECC (on the left side of the dash). I've heard that there are two fuses or a fuse and a breaker. Can you shed light on this?
