The last...crustacean...I had a very different picture in my head of what that book was going to be about... and honestly I think I'm a little bit disappointed that it's not about a horseshoe crab.
You're such a warm person whose energy is so positive and infectious. Your videos brighten up my day. I ended up reading one of your recommendations called 'Some Kind of Happiness' by Claire Legrand and loved it.
I just love the vibe of this video an your not the only one even though I'm a heavy an I meeeean heavy Kindle book reader (even though the love of physical books will always be my first love) I love looking at all my books it just dose it for me ✨✨ you no! 16:41
I have NOT seen a single Booktuber/BookToker pick up the Last Cuentista! I read it last year and it fell into my favorites. It really brings an emphasis on how important it is to remember stories and have them in our lives. Also you got the Stolen Heir! I haven't read it yet, but I'm super excited. Happy reading!
My recent book purchase was 1) Man Made Monsters 2) how not to drown in a glass of water 3) how to sell a haunted house And haven’t read any of them yet lol
⭐️ Omg! ⭐️ I had no idea you lived in Chattanooga, I just moved FROM there this summer! The new entrance to McKays looks great! I used to live like 5 minutes from there. We went ALL the time 🤣
LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY: the uk cover is gorgeous under the dust jacket. It’s just a huge colorful periodic table! (Still watching in case this gets brought up momentarily)
Omg I know lol lol. I started getting all of these comments saying the title and I was like “what??” And then I looked it up and was like “GIRL YOU DID NOT JUST CALL IT THE LAST CRUSTACEAN ON RUclips DOT COM NOOOO” hahahahah
⭐️I love your energy and enthusiasm - it is infectious!! I now want to grab a coffee and hit the local book stores!! Last purchased book: The Great Unexpected, not read yet. Happy sipping and reading!!
I'm OBSESSED with the Veronica Speedwell series and highly recommend the audiobooks. A Curious Beginning is actually my least favourite - I think the books just keep getting better as the series goes on!
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow is amazing! I’ve been in a reading slump since the holidays and it’s the first book to make me actually feel again. Hope you enjoy it and looking forward to checking out the rest of your reading recs from the library.
Did not realize where you lived till this video 😅 if you are in the Atlanta area you have to try Poe &company it’s in Milton technically but it’s amazing. I’m in Ringgold and have never boom to the book and cover but will be fixing that this weekend!
My last book purchase was tonight at B&N, a middle grade, Wretched Waterpark by Kiersten White. It was 50% off and looked so cute. I think it's summer themed so I'm waiting to read it then. Not a personal purchase, I requested my library buy it and they called me this morning to say that Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries was ready for me to pick up. So excited! I hope to finish my current read tonight so I can jump into it tomorrow...er, it's after midnight so I guess I mean later today.
Such a fun vlog! I definitely recommend reading EMILY WILDE'S in the winter months if you can. I know you mentioned possibly reading it in the summer, but cold/snow, etc., are such a big part of the story. It's fun to read when it is cold out and you are snuggled inside. So incredible cozy!!!
I didn't realize you were in the Chattanooga area and was tripping when I saw the Mckay's I go to all the time! 😅also, i hadn't ever heard of the book and cover and i'm so excited to check them out!!!
Hi Lexi, I just found your channel a couple of months ago and have really been enjoying your content! The latest book I picked up but haven't started yet is The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. I loved Under the Whispering Door, so excited for this one! ⭐️
Loved those pics, m thinking of trying the author Seanan McGuire, Happy reading... ⭐ I have to read all my recently shopped books to before I go shopping again
Why am I watching this? Haha, j/k. Your videos are always amazing. I am on a no-buy year, but you and your videos give me so much serotonin! Thank you for taking us along book shopping with you.
Because of this video and since finding your channel I have purchased Babel, Book Lovers, Lessons in Chemistry, My Best Friend's Exorcism, and Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries. So, some might say a nice little selection however, I HAVE NOT PURCHASED A PHYSICAL BOOK IN 10 YEARS!!!!! I guess I forgot how much I missed having a book in my hand! That being said, this book haul will be my last for another 10. Thanks for the fun videos. I will keep watching but only downloading. 🌠
Scarlet in Blue sounds really interesting, not one that I've heard about before. I alos picked up Emily Wildes Encyclopaedia of Faries, so excited ♡ ⭐️
I’m from Alabama and have family in Chattanooga. I used to go to McKay’s all the time at it’s old location which was many many years ago. It’s a little far out for me now sadly so I only make it up there once if I’m lucky.
My wallet is crying already and we have not even gone shopping yet love this video and your amazing and fantastic channel prayers and thoughts for you and your family love your Aussie friend John ❤❤❤
@@alexandraroselyn YASSS GIRL!!!! I am on the coast of Texas... far far, much too far away. I love my little mobile... shes cute, and called Florence :D
I just bought “Dark Waters” Katherine Arden!!! It’s in the “Small Spaces” series! I’m gonna save it for summer. And lastly but certainly not least “Legends and Lattes” me and my best friend are reading it together! Thanks for all your recommendations ya haven’t failed me yet!
I didn’t realized you were in Chatt, but I immediately recognized Book & Cover. I’m an English prof. at UTC and am planning a BookTok/BookTube class for fall and have been watching your videos for research for it. What a funny coincidence!
Love love love this haul ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my last book purchace was Talia Hibbert's new book, but I haven't read it, but it's on my TBR and I'm gonna read it soon
⭐️ I was going to say I can send you one of the books that you were looking for but then I saw that you were after specific cover art which I can’t blame you for. The UK version is much better than ours.
Question: are independent authors or "indie" books not available at certain bookstores? I'm having the hardest time trying to find Anastasia by Sophie Lark, The Clockwork Girl by Anna Mazzola, and Pandora by Susan Stokes Chapman. Not even my local library or the local "small" bookstores have these novels.
Yay I love your videos and hearing about more books 😊 my last purchase was Legends & Lattes, I’m reading it and I love Thimble and the dire cat so much! They are so cute and make me smile 😊 thank you for the recommendation ⭐️
My last book purchase was A Thousand Heartbeats by Kiera Cass, Before You Knew My Name by Jacqueline Bublitz and Without Merit by Colleen Hoover. I haven't read any of those yet. I have a tbr jar that is choosing my books right now. I'm currently reading Five Survive by Holly Jackson.
I can't wait to read Lost in the Moment and Found! The Veronica Speedwell series is so good--historical mysteries with a long drawn out romance--yes please! ⭐⭐⭐
@@GodtaughtKendra You definitely need to read Ninth House first to understand the world building and back story. Plus there’s a cliff hanger that the plot of Hell Bent focuses on. Ninth House can be a bit confusing at first, but once you build an understanding it becomes more enjoyable!
