- The release of the new movie got me just rewatching all the episodes, including this one which is one of my favorite ones just because of how chaotic it is XD.
Spent 3 hours on this thing but it was worth it.

XD, the episode was too crazy that the context finally got lost in the Slippery Whippery whoo segment.
@@Niya_rah_ah_ah I enjoyed the Slippery Whippery Whoo segment. It is interesting to pay attention to the minor details. One detail that I liked the most took place at the very beginning when Splinter was belly sliding. Right before you see him out of the shadow to be fully revealed, you can see two yellow light reflections on his shades that make up his eyes in a serious expression. In the actual match, Splinter shines with his agility and evasive skill when up against Leo and Donnie. Keep in mind that I don't like or generally support everything about the segment. The way Donnie crushed Leo with Splinter was the only thing. Regardless of anything, I enjoyed it. Do you have any thoughts about it? I would discuss how things would have been different for a ROTTMNT AU story that features my OC taking place during this very segment in Lair Games.
How is it, out of four cartoon series named TEENAGE Mutant Ninja Turtles, this is the one where they act the most like actual teenagers? In fact, I'd say that each show they progressively get more teenager-y.
Agreed. I was just a kid when the 87 series came out, and even then I knew they were being played older.
@@sararatliff7707 The 87 series basically played them like 1980's movie teens, especially Mikey's 80's surfer talk and Donnie's techno nerd personality. But the 2K3 one felt like they were in their 20's at the earliest somehow. Like College Age Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Honestly, that's probably my favourite episode of the series. Where Leo winks and Donnie just *suffers* after getting his room is something so funny I still can't process it, along with the clip of Donnie crackle crying on camera, (that kills me every single time I see it).

I love the family bond. In 03 and 2012 iterations everyone is always "down to business" because they were plot-heavy shows we never get moments with them just hanging out, enjoying each other. We don't get to know them outside the heat of battle, so this show actually makes me care about the characters.
Splinter is even willing to get in on the act and play silly games with his sons, which as far as I know has NEVER happened before.

My favourite thing about this episode is the fact that its the kind of shit id see people begging for in tumblr posts, writing about in fanfic, rambling about in comments. Its a concept that serves no purpose other than being FUN, and it IS. Its one of the most memorable episodes in the series despite lacking any big emotional moments or fights or villains. Its the just the dumbass family being the dumbass family. And at the same time it continues to establish important character traits on a deeper level, (mostly for Leo, who SHINES in the lair games on a character level because it is DESIGNED to highlight his biggest flaws AND his greatest strengths at the same time, for completely different reasons).
Anyways, this episode is one of my favourites. Theres so much drama and its formatted in such a memorable and chaotic way, i could talk about it for HOURS.

I wish that this show got to have 2 more seasons. Only 2 seasons in total is fine, but 4 or more complete seasons would have been wonderful.
I love how they didn’t do that thing where only the two rivals end up winning challenges. So happy Raph got to win one, but RIP Mikey, was not his year.

Most people aren’t super giddy when someone gets hurt, especially siblings. I can even see Donnie trying to console Leo if the roles were reversed, and he’s not exactly known for being particularly empathetic. I can also see Leo trying to save face since he was the main suspect in the case.

When they shit on each other it’s just sibling rivalry, they actually do care about each other even if they don’t show it most of the time… Like my siblings will piss me off and I’ll get annoyed, but I still care about them more than anything if they get hurt

In this verson leo is the weakist as his whole thing is hes really fast and can teleport/portal away from attacks in terms of raw power donnie is probably the strongest he went Toe to Toe with a buffed barendraxum while the other Turtles got their asses hand to by him his tek makes up for the lack of mystic powers for most of the serios and even when he does get mystic Powers they are related to his Tech
