ALOT of episodes were cut in season 2 hence why its much shorter than season 1.Also the writers were planing on writing Jennika and Venus into the story but obviously couldn't because it was canceled.
In every source of the comics and shows, the turtles went to space, met Fugitoid, had met turtle prime/ a cross over with other turtles at least once, had to save the whole world, liberated the foot clan/ introduced mutants as a none threat to a society, or proceed to (as Raphael would say from previous Tmnt iterations) “Love being a turtle.” There’s a lot of content, they could even do a little cameo for Jennika or Venus De Milo

What if in season 3, during some episode, Turtles take future Casey on a mission or some of their enemies attack Casey Jones junior on the street, but it turns out its not Casey from the future, only a hockey player kid who looks incredibly similar to Casey II, and is supposed to be Casey’s Dad in the future alternatyw timeline.
There hasn’t been a season 3 is because nickalodean didn’t like the show so they canceled it. That’s what I heard and I completely believe it. BUT WHYYYYYY I WANT SEASON THREE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😫😫
I think they said it had to do with engagement so hopefully the rising (slight pun intended) of the fandom after the movie and just in general will lead to a season three and possibly more
