We're funding this war but we're suffering too, we can't give them everything we have without helping out our dying children from school shootings, other mass shootings, and gun violence in general... which is in addition to the other disasters we're currently facing.
Why should we help them when we're dying and they don't even seem to care about us? 100s of millions of hard working tax payers here and the Ukrainian people, especially Zelensky, don't seem to share the same compassion we have had for them, ignorant to our own problems in our country.

I was assuming because the tank problem in Ukraine is already shaping up to be a logistical nightmare to uphold 8 different MBT's that dont share interchangeable parts or munitions, for F16's it's not only the task of retraining pilots, but the technicians, mechanics, ground crews on the maintenance and operation of the aircraft, then reorganizing logistics to make sure that replacement parts and munitions make it to the correct aircraft, a task that has already proven difficult with armor and small arms 0such as getting rifled shells for smooth bore cannons, foot soldiers mistakenly getting 7.62x39 ammo for rifles chambered in 5.45, Ian McCollum has a great video series on how these changes can break an army during wartime.

This is puzzling to me. If the US is storing tanks, fighting vehicles, etc., and Congress gives Ukraine a billion dollars, don't we just pack up stuff and send it? Are these items being replaced with the money? Is the money to put them on cargo planes and for training? Cause the stuff is just sitting in storage, right? I understand that the anti-tank missiles will have to be replaced, but it seems we have lots of armor sitting around.
If everything based on humanitarian thoughts, then it’s fine.
But I wonder, for military industry, yes, they provide military stuff to Ukraine to fight against Russia. Do we really expect them not to greed? Even they provide the stuff, does it really obey the positive ideologies, ie freedom?
I mean If Russia is totally defeated, then the military company can not earn as much profit as they can since they no longer receive govt payment (because immediate demand). Do you really believe the billionaires will buy nuclear weapons?
I think if the war does not come to an end, then it’s good for LM,since they can keep asking congress for money, no matter for what purpose and also the public won’t ask for anything. The cost of 31 tanks is roughly $200 million. We've supposedly already sent them nearly $100 billion. Does anyone see what's wrong with that picture? Think about it! $100 billion is enough to buy 15,500 tanks. And we're making a big deal about sending them 31 measly tanks? Can't people see how Washington is laughing in the face of the American people at how they don't see the irony? $100 billion is half of Ukraines entire annual GDP. Half of their GDP without having to lift a finger to earn it. Idk if the video covered this or not but the placement of stealing sticks and such also play a huge role. A Ukrainian pilot is more used to Soviet/Russian made aircraft which have different cockpit set up then American/western made aircraft. Say you needed to lunch your countermeasures or something like that you need to know where that is so a Ukrainian pilot might accidentally press the wrong thing which can be catastrophic to both aircraft and pilot.

A more practical aircraft for Ukraine is the A-10 Warthog, at this stage of war. Ukraine should be asking for 2 dozen A-10 Warthogs or the new Super A-10 Warthogs. These angels would be cheaper, simplier to maintain, easier to learn and far more effective against Russian battlefield strategy and tactics currently being used in Eastern and Southern Ukraine. They can use a wide variety of modern armaments, even take out Russian radar sites, before the radar sees the warthog. They could even help eliminate the Black Sea fleet.
F-16s are great dog fights and delivery of smaller payloads. The A-10 is the best for ground support and would be great against Russian tactics, large troop concerations, tanks, and even ships.
No one to fly them they would just be easy targets for surface to air missiles! You cant just give a country a plane like that without extensive training!

Remember the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. US, UK, France, China, Ukraine and Russia, you all signed/supported this memorandum in which Russia agreed to respect Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and borders and never to invade Ukraine . In exchange, Ukraine transferred all its "nuclear weapons" to Russia. Russia has repeatedly violated this memorandum. You owe it all to Ukraine to help Ukraine to get their sovereign country back as promised in 1994. If Ukraine loses, it will be a sign to other countries that nuclear weapons are the best defense weapons. MAKE A DECISION, MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

to start with, our f-16 fighters that we might send to ukraine are in mothballs, it will take months to get them into reasonable working condition unless we want to deplete our own ready to go supply of f-16 fighters. (it would say f-16s but that would imply a model number). we have a large number of these fighter craft... in mothballs. mothballs meaning in long term storage, only a small number of them are currently deployed. a general search says 1000 but in reality i would expect it to be more like half of that. for us to send them we can't just send them mothballed aircraft, we would either have to send our own current service aircraft or spend money bringing mothballed aircraft up to reasonable spec. meaning that they would need to be reasonably reliable and tested. on the other hand ukraine DOES NOT HAVE ANY PILOTS TRAINED ON THE PLATFORM. i cannot stress that enough, THERE ARE NO UKRANIAN PILOTS TRAINED ON THE F-16 PLATFORM. this "no" just like with the tanks could change over time, i would not be surprised to see the us airforce and navy starting to bring some out of mothballs for shakedowns and refurbishing, nor would i be surprised to see some ukranians being trained here in the states to be ready to handle the jets. but right now it would be at least 16 months to two years before anything would be ready for ukraine to use and i don't think that is what ukraine needs right now. this ain't magic.

Congress passed funding to train ukrainian pilots on Nato. Aircraft last July
Ukraine has been offered F16s from Poland and they will do the pilot crossover training. But they need the OK from the USA to do that. They also want to replace them with newer jets.
