Here's some comic book trivia about Morph. His appearance in X-Men 97 involves some complicated comic stuff... In the comics, Morph was called Changeling. He was a minor character in the 1960s who was an antagonist at first, then later shapeshifted into Xavier when Xavier faked his death. At the time, he looked like the Morph you remember from the 90s animated series. In the comics, he was such a minor character that he never made it out of the 60s comics. I can only assume the 90s cartoon used him because they wanted a character they could kill off in the first few episodes without upsetting any comic fans. In the 2000s, there was a comic called Exiles that was about a team of X-Men from different universes traveling around the multiverse. In that book, Morph was actually called Morph, and he looked like the blank-faced Morph here in X-Men 97. This multiverse variant is the most popular version of Morph in the comics. So... I guess when they made this cartoon, they made Morph look like his most popular version from the comics. The ugly costume they gave Morph in the finale of X-Men 97 is the costume that Morph from the Exiles wore, except it had a cape.

I used to have this giant book that featuring tons of marvel characters that included their bios, origins, powers, etc. It’s been over 10 years since I had lost it in Sandy unfortunately. But I very vaguely remember some of this information along with featured artwork that matches your description. I think you can say wolverine also had a badass moment in the first episode when gambit was on his back and lit up his claws with the kinetic energy to fight the sentinels
@@PancakesTFC88 Indeed! If you go back and watch my reaction to that, you’ll know I agree. However that was a teamwork move with Gambit. I was thinking more of a solo moment by himself. But that’s def a highlight

I will coment in cronological order , however before all that i have a few special notes for you Dont know if you remember X Men TAS Apokalypse sais in the episode Obsession where Archangel is fed inforation and X Men are stuck in a space ship App s space ship , The Immortal One says this : Beast , how many people have dreamed of my end ? You are no closer than the Babilonians with their swords and fire sticks and now... Beast is in Babylon. I sencirely hope they dont screw this up Sentiel observation in episode 9 : They dont have Master Mold original default . 7 or 10 where dispatched through Genosha in Sanctuary part 1 season 4 or 3 depends on the order X Men TAS. Those Sentinels where sent by Bastion after Master Mold head was destroyed . That type of Sentinels worked side by side with humans you can find the fight scene 3 minute long fight scene to see what i mean. It s the same type of Sentinel used to take over The White House in 1x11 ( Gambit the Assasin on youtube ) When Bastion says They Approach Open ! The Silos ! It s a better recreation of An Aircraft is Approaching Awaken The Sentinels ! The Awaken Sentines in episode 9 they where not Trask fly paper Sentinels like in episode 1 . My worst nightmare ( I still have Nightmares about the original Sentinels ) came back to life and they meant buisness . Kiss your future Goodbye ! Mutants got a power boost but it s not enough against The Sentinels. Countless waves of Sentinels . Back to the video
