Aw man, it is SO fun. You have to really keep an eye on the weather and make sure your safety gear is all in good shape, but it’s absolutely worth it.

Structure, changes in the bottom, drop offs, ledges, humps
Why don’t you rinse off your fillets? I only freshwater fish but, just move to the east. I just want to learn something new!!
The freshwater isn’t good to spray on saltwater fish fillets. Rinsing in salt water is 100% fine but if your not near the ocean keeping them out of any blood/ fish fluids while filleting and patting them dry, wrapping in a paper towel and storing in a zip lock bag until you eat is the way to go
