So much more interesting to watch than many other videos showing every part on every sprue, criticism of every splash of flash, divot and rivet and panel line depth... And just look at the quality of the finished model ! This builder doesn't need an expensive workshop to produce a first class model. Well done !
Que gran trabajo Daniel !!! Tengo ese kit pero en Italieri muy buena técnica veo que usas un airbrush Badger 150 muy bueno a veces lo uso tbn mantente modelando gracias 😊 por compartir
Stunning build, video was well shot and edited, I had to seek out the song which was a great choice and the pictures at the end were completed unexpected and of amazing quality - great composition :) I found it very helpful that you showed some of the products you used and really showcased your techniques. More like this please! Great job.
I really appreciate your comment! and im glad some of my techniques are useful for more people. Im working on the next video and there are more kits to build :D Thank you very much Chris
Wow very nicely done indeed and great use of the camera and editing! and music selection! Very inspiring video to want to make models myself and continue my work on my minitature warhammer army with such detail on the paint job layer after layer, almost like how it was done then
I bought this model after watching this video. Hope that conveys how impressed I am of your talent. Lucked out on EBay, $20, that's including shipping. Can't wait for it to arrive in the mail.
It´s great that you bought the model after watching my video! hope that it helps to build your heinkel, i enjoyed it a lot and im sure you will too. Best regards!
I built a monogram 1/48 scale model of heinkel he 111 when I was younger, one of my favorite WW2 planes after watching the movie battle of Britain, the heinkel had a very aerodynamic design making it one of the most attractive airplanes ever made
WONDERFUL, DYNAMIC VIDEO, AWESOME WORK,AND THINK THAT THERE ARE 30 YEARS AGO, WHEN MY FIRTS MODELS RODE TOTTALY UNAWARE THESE TECHNIQUES THEREFORE HAD NO INTERNET AND ALSO HAD ACESS TO MAGAZINES AND ETC. CONGRATULATIONS...ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO LEARN...UAUUU!!
Excellent kit! Actually a hasegawa rebox by revell. One of my more enjoyable builds. I personally gave it a fresher winter white wash and heavy weathering. You done the kit alot of justice! Good build
Fantastic work! Thank You for re-creating a part of Detachment Kuhlmey which saved Finland from the communist plague at the most critical moment. The 70 or so planes were in Finland only a few weeks but were essential in stopping the massive Soviet attack with surgical precision and professionalism.
Danielbustos Loved what you did with that model. HE-111 is one of my favorite!! Winter and Desert Camoflages are great and the one you chose is the one I would like to do. The "white" you used what colours combination did you use? Great Work!!!!
thank you! it is a mixture of very thinned black and brown oil paint that i added to the panel lines, its called oil wash. Then i wiped out the excess leaving the paint only inside the lines and on the surface it gives you a kinda dirty effect.
was interested to see how you did your pre-shading, i use a similar method, but i fill in the panels from the centre to the edge, one by one. is there any chance of you showing your pre shading method in greater detail?
So many questions!!! First off, how did you mask the cockpit and all the other small windows. Did you do it all by hand? When ever I do it, I never have the patience. I always make the strips of masking tape either too big or too short. How did you get it on so well? Secondly, when you pre-shade, how are you getting it on so well? When ever I pre-shade the black paint doesn't get on so perfectly. It's either not even on, or super wet. What am I doing wrong? Third, after you pre-shade, what's your consistency? What type of ratio (paint to thinner) are you using? Every time I spray over the black paint, I lose the entire effect. Fourth, what's the brown paint you hand brush onto the plane then wipe it off? It's a really good effect, and I've been looking years for that. Fifth, what's your secret on getting those decals to sink into the grooves and mold around the rivets. It's almost like you are burning the decal onto the plastic, as if it was painted on. I asked these questions a long time ago, but you never responded.
*For this kit I got an Eduard kit for masking heinkel's 1/72 windows. But still you can use Tamiya masking tape and a sharp X-acto or a knife to cut small windows. *For pre shading, i use a medium tip on my airbrush and very low pressure, about 10-12 psi. I thin the paint as much as 50% paint and 50%thiner, sometimes i thin it a lot. That way you will get a fine paintspray but make sure to use the right type of thiner according to the type of paint. *The same thing after preshade...if you add a thick coat of paint over the pre-shade work, it will not come through and will be useless. Then you have to use the same 50:50 mixture and apply several light coats of paint until you are satisfied with the effect. I try to paint more inside panels and less over the preshade lines. Once done, i add some white paint to the base color and thin it, and try to get like a sunburned paint effect over the panels and upper surfaces. *The brown paint you said is thinned oil with turpentine. I use black and brown oils. You get weathering effects. *For the decals is very importand to press the decal firmly over the surface but also i use a product called micro sol or tamiya mark fit. This product makes something on the decal that helps it adhere perfectly on a surface. Like irregular surfaces or rivets or any detail. Im sorry if i didnt answer, sometimes i forget to check my email! Hope this helps, feel free to ask any questions. Best regards and thank you!
Hallo, hab Dein Video grade gesehen! Wow! What a beautyfull Plane! It was a great Inspiration for me. Thank you very much. You airbrushing is masterly! The underside of the Wings looks so realistic. I can t beat this. How long stayed your wash on the model? Greetings from Germany. Gruß Bernd.
Hallo, nice Work. Sehr gut gemacht(well done). I've got the same Modell and it was a pleasure the built it. You make that right with the symbolic. I'm german and I think that is modelling and make the plane more realistic. Its not playing with toys. Racism on modell is toaly rubbish. Greetings.
Holy cows, im currently building the same model and im amazed by the ammount of detail in your scale model. Just one question. At 3:15 when you removed the panel line paint, did you coat the plane with some sord of gloss varnish? The panel line paint doesnt wash off in any way. Ive tried it with no luck.
