I can wait to see the next videos when you configure multiple apps in nextcloud and how you fix the errors and some cli because there are not that many helps to fix exactly the problem that I face, good videos. Thanks
Hey great video! Love the timestamps and very clear information. You may want to consider turning down your mic a bit as it is most likely hitting the red and compressing the sound, which makes it sound harsh. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks, I use nextcloud on CORE these days. But, how can i sync or backup the nextcloud setup this way to a different machine using syncthing or rsync. I found many tut's that focus on using core as destination of backup but none where nextcloud data is exported to other device for backup.
Yeah, true, never thought of needing to backup TrueNAS to another NAS, but I think you can run TrueNAS as a clustered setup. Maybe I'm thinking of SCALE though.
I can't really show you, but I can tell you that if you have snapshots running and you are saving them to a different drive and / or machine, then you can take that snapshot and bring your system back up fairly quickly. Same story for the motherboard failing. You'd move the drive to a new machine and bring it back up. You should always have backups, and backups on top of backups whenever possible.
How fast are they with upgrading the official Plugins (just asking since nextcloud v.21 got some big improvements. Also did you try to make the nextcloud aviable to public? Thats maybe worth another video..
Missing a youtube video where the setup of Truenas , media player , sonar and radar and a sabnzb downloader where they share the same pool / share . Hope you can look at it
Thanks for the informative video. Can You get access to your Nas Storage from anywhere or just at home? The setup IP address is 192.168.-- in this video.
Yes, I only use my NaS stuff on the local network, but you could open it to the internet if you wanted. I don’t recommend that, and would instead suggest using it over a VPN for remote (non-local) machines.
I wish it was because I was walking around. It’s actually because I have bad eyes, and when I lean in to see something in the screen it messes with my audio. I am, however learning now how to adjust my audio before editing to try and level it all out.
Hey Jim, I do tend to talk a bit, and I definitely do long form content. If you are more interested in short form content, I'm happy to point you to a few good channels.

Thanks. Yeah, my audio engineering skills definitely lack something to be desired, but I’m working on it.
Thanks From Indonesia
My pleasure.

nice video..could you please share a download link of the Truenas 12.0..nextcloud is not installing on the latest version(13.0)
How about showing us what happens when the motherboard or the OS drive fails?

You know, I’m not sure, I didn’t get 21, just 20, but, given 20 was on it I suppose it’s not too far behind.

Are you wanting this for TrueNAS Core (BSD), or TrueNAS Scale (Linux)?
@@AwesomeOpenSource Thats fiine on both , to understand how the different programs share and interact is my interest
How long was the installation process for it to install? I have previously tried but got impatient and went back to Unraid.
On the hardware I tested on it only took about 10 minutes.
Really great video! What about remote access? As what I read it is much harder to setup on truenas?
I suppose it depends on how you set it up. If you are setting it up inside TrueNAS it may be more complex.

@@AwesomeOpenSource : Thank you so much for a speedy response. I appreciate for the info.
Clould you do an Openvpn installation on Truenas.
Let me see what I can come up with.
That's not a wizard. It doesn't do any setting uo firvtge user. Its a pop-up set of intoductiry screens to infirm and welcome the new user.
Ok.
Stop walking around the room when you talk. Your mic level is all over the place.

Blah, blah, blah - get to the point..
