mimicking how, in the card game, her fragments of her sword are buff spells that make the whole sword once all used together, I think her assist could be to give a fragment of her blade to an ally which gives them a shield and either slightly more speed, more dmg or more mana (all of these would only last while the shield is up). This mimicks her shards each doing different things. I could also see her coming into battle with 1 of those fragments on her and being able to get a fragment mid-combo as a combo extender and, if she gets all 3 without switching out, she gets all the buffs at once.

Just found your channel and I'm loving the theory crafting. Personally, I think that Pantheon would be great for Project L. Got a gauge passive that is pretty cool for interacting with hit kit. Built in combos. And Ult that refills his gauge.
zoe in project L concept: passive: she would cast a ray from her hands like the star in injustice 2 Q: Could she throw the deflected star backwards and then throw it forward to continue a combo in the air W: she would strike a pose and use some spell/item E: would launch his sleep bubble to lock the enemy in the air and then continue the combo R: teleport to a selected place: behind the enemy, in front of him and other directions being able to continue a combo moving. What do you think?
Interesting, id say Zoe is a pretty unorthodox choice but tbh that's exactly the kind of champ that the game really needs to stand out so I could get behind it!

I'd love for you to try your hand at a wierd unit like, say, corki or Ivern. My ideas for them go as follows- Corki: a mid range zoner who builds up a metre with hits. This is his package, this package is an extra input ontop of a any pre-existing moves he may have which causes him to launch his package dealing way more damage in a much larger area with the downside of being able to hit yourself with the massive blast. I also imagine he would be able to fly much like painwheel from skullgirls. Ivern: I imagine his bush being the centre part of his kit and him acting like the faust of this game, he would summon his bush and-should he step into it- he would have a variety of pop-out follow up moves from there. The interesting part is that various monsters have a chance of popping out from his brushes with him such as red buff, wolves and, of course, daisy. I'd imagine the various monsters would have different effects (red buff gives dmg over time, daisy knocks up the enemy, raptors are a sea of small hits to get through armoured enemies, blue buff gives extra mana). I also see him having a super where he calls out daisy and spawns a bush in a random location, this bush will gaurentee a monster (not daisy) to pop out. Beyond this, his passive could be used as a wakeup to summon a monster. His stun would be a simple projectile that also pulls him in the direction which would also allow for a crossup at close range and his pop-blossom would just work how it already does.
in project l I want there to be a system of like champ types such as certain subclasses fight other more suitable classes (like boxing) with lightweight, to middleweight and all the way up to heavyweight. Because I have played lol for a long time it was never a big issue but having a complete boss that came straight out of hell vs a guy with the most generic weapon is very flattering in my opinion. I hope rito will learn and not ruin a perfect game like in the past(most recently last year's event.)
That would be an interesting system I dont think ive seen anything like that in a fighting game outside actual Boxing games like fightnight. Would be cool to have modes like that on side casual queues - kinda like ARAM and LoL event modes I would love to see stuff like that

Hahahaha the Path of Exile music was a nice touch. And yeah, considering that Riven's dev code name was *Marth*, she's an excellent fit. Could be an excellent combo video highlight character considering all the canceling you can do with her. I also think her Ionian high-skill, dashy counterpart anime girl, *Irelia*, is also a perfect shoe-in for Project L at some point. Considering how long her hair is and how dashy she is, she has a lot of vibes of Millia Rage, with a kit ready to go.
She definitely is the type of character to have air juggles and launches then having the option between casting R forward or down from the air and it dealing more damage based on missing health.
woops forgot to comment for the algo - sadly the 'early 2nd half of the year' announcement is def going to be during evo, its a grand place to reveal some cool dev stuff, but honestly wish they gave us a peek or two leading up to it
i think making her e a command dash that can crossup like inquisitor's command dash would make her not only more mobile but give her some nice mix i don't think giving riven super armour fits her design and something like a command dash would really fit her agile playstyle
I would love to see your take on Kindred with the speedy hopping around that they can do combined with some interesting mechanics such as their passive and R. I personally would hope that if they were added wolf would be more of an active component compared to how he is in league
I dont think that Roster leak is going to be 100 percent accurate it was just a survey that riot themselves sent out gauging character interest. BUT even still I think Riven has a great chance of making it in, and I hope she does!
Hey great videos. I'm pretty adept at FGs but never got into LOL as I never was into that genre.So obviously project L has me interested in the lore and characters and what not now. What are you using to mimic the 2d fighter aspect with the LOL characters in your videos? Is it like a side game of LOL or something or using some locked camera? Thanks boss, I really appreciate that! It's actually just recorded in League Of Legends built-in reply system - you can manipulate the camera quite a lot and then I added some details like the health bars I made in Photoshop and some sharpening + animation with Premier Pro!

i guess galio would work, he has a sonic boom, a tackle that would work like potemkin's hammerfall, a shield that stuns and an ULT that has him flying and slamming the ground this time without the use of allies to actually use it.
Every melee character can fit into project L easily. The problem is how do you put artillery/inmobile mage type of characters like kogmaw/vel koz/Varus or xerath?(i mean maybe is not that hard for the devs) Or even battle mages like Malzahar. mages in general have it harder to get into the rolster imo, except for the ones that have movility of course
Her E attack could also be like a king of fighter roll . Where should should time in with a projectile to get a small frame advantage. She also get a away to get around projectile since she would must likely be a rush down.
Gonna make this short cause I deleted a longer version of this comment by accident. Riven very cool and all but I wanna give her more to work with. Riven appears to be very resourceful in stories. Using her surroundings to her advantages. In addition to this in one story she called out to the other pieces of her sword causing them no to be summoned but to fly through the air like Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) So on the low level implementation of this, she can call to / launch pieces of her blade at opponents for some combo starter's / extenders while having the blade reforged. The more interesting implementation of this ability would be to give her sword extension properties, something like Renji's Zabimaru from Bleach. I don't think its how her Reforged blade should act the whole time but to extend the blade upwards as an anti air seems cool. Anyway yeah I just wanted to Riven a little more love. (Gist of what my longer version of this Riven upgrade could be) Side note I like your reveral Idea for W since she could do it using the force of the wind and shit like that. Would be very cool defensive op. too maybe

Yea I think he would be a great one too, even his ability stealing stuff for him and VIego could be pretty sweet plus stuff like that kind of has been done before in other fighting games so could work!

That could definitely work too! I actually pitched Sett having a focus attack type move for his Haymaker before I made this, but wouldn't be opposed to Riven having something similar if she makes it in the game

Agreed I really think she is quite likely - if not base almost definitely DLC later. But yea Aatrox is quite close, id actually like to do a video on "echo fighters" / Semi clones with those two and a couple others that show champs who really only need to be like a couple moves different from each other to still work in the game!
If Aatrox get in the game there would be some case of Clone character because Riven and Aatrox has almost the same kit,Rekka, Dash, and Install, so if they want do put Aatrox in the game they need to work harder to make Aatrox feels different from Riven.
@@BruiserMinion i actually have an Idea for Aatrox, instead of traditional Rekka i would like to incorporate the combo from league that being Q-AA-Q-AA-Q which separate the Rekka using normal hit cancel, so instead of continuing the first Rekka into the second part you need to cancel it into regular attack to continue into the second part or have the second part on cooldown if you're not canceling it,so you can't use it immediately like a regular Rekka but instead making it some kind of set up move that deals more damage, OR you can chain it but you need to hit your opponent with the tip of your Rekka and that's gonna reset the cooldown so you can chain the Rekka that also deal more damage compare to normal hit cancel version but harder in execution. it's still pretty raw idea but i think this gonna be good thing to differentiate Aatrox from Riven, also made his Dash useable in middle of the Rekka just like in League.

ALRIGHT ENOUGH WITH THE OBVIOUS CHAMPS TIME FOR SOME WACKY SHIT, LET'S GET YUUMI INTO THE GAME! This is a tag fighter so Yuumi will be the premier champion to show of that mechanic by ignoring it entirely, instead of having 2 playable characters Yuumi will attach to the point character giving them 75% bonus health, 20% damage and defense buff, and access to the most broken assist in the game PROWLING PROJECTILE which will stay on screen tracking the opponent until it hits or is blocked, using the tag button will instead use Yuumi's super FINAL CHAPTER sending 3 massive waves that cover the entire screen pushing your opponet backwards and wallbouncing if they're in the air, it can also be used in the middle of any animation or attack, finally when your point character reaches 20% health Yuumi will use her most dangerous ability yet ZOOMIES which slowly regenerate the health of the point character up to 60% over the course of 10 seconds so you better finish your opponent fast or else you're fucked. Make it happen Riot! Yuumi for Project L!

So Riven's playstyle was already heavily influenced by Fighting Games - but what could be added to make her a better TAG game Fighter?

Riven's voice actress, Cristina Vee also had voiced some fighting game characters most notably Noel Vermillion in Blazblue.

I would love to see how you guys would implement kayn into the game. He has 3 forms. So a devil trigger mechanic would be my goto but wondering what you guys think.

Agreed I really think she is quite likely - if not base almost definitely DLC later. But yea Aatrox is quite close, id actually like to do a video on "echo fighters" / Semi clones with those two and a couple others that show champs who really only need to be like a couple moves different from each other to still work in the game!
If Aatrox get in the game there would be some case of Clone character because Riven and Aatrox has almost the same kit,Rekka, Dash, and Install, so if they want do put Aatrox in the game they need to work harder to make Aatrox feels different from Riven.

@@BruiserMinion i actually have an Idea for Aatrox, instead of traditional Rekka i would like to incorporate the combo from league that being Q-AA-Q-AA-Q which separate the Rekka using normal hit cancel, so instead of continuing the first Rekka into the second part you need to cancel it into regular attack to continue into the second part or have the second part on cooldown if you're not canceling it,so you can't use it immediately like a regular Rekka but instead making it some kind of set up move that deals more damage, OR you can chain it but you need to hit your opponent with the tip of your Rekka and that's gonna reset the cooldown so you can chain the Rekka that also deal more damage compare to normal hit cancel version but harder in execution.
it's still pretty raw idea but i think this gonna be good thing to differentiate Aatrox from Riven, also made his Dash useable in middle of the Rekka just like in League.
@@terrybohart I like that actually that does make sense, and I do appreciate it being more of an execution involved combo instead of just mashing the ability button once you confirm the first hit hit. Good stuff as always man!

ALRIGHT ENOUGH WITH THE OBVIOUS CHAMPS TIME FOR SOME WACKY SHIT, LET'S GET YUUMI INTO THE GAME!
This is a tag fighter so Yuumi will be the premier champion to show of that mechanic by ignoring it entirely, instead of having 2 playable characters Yuumi will attach to the point character giving them 75% bonus health, 20% damage and defense buff, and access to the most broken assist in the game PROWLING PROJECTILE which will stay on screen tracking the opponent until it hits or is blocked, using the tag button will instead use Yuumi's super FINAL CHAPTER sending 3 massive waves that cover the entire screen pushing your opponet backwards and wallbouncing if they're in the air, it can also be used in the middle of any animation or attack, finally when your point character reaches 20% health Yuumi will use her most dangerous ability yet ZOOMIES which slowly regenerate the health of the point character up to 60% over the course of 10 seconds so you better finish your opponent fast or else you're fucked.
