She could be a set up character, this class in fighting games are characters that are not good on the field except they have tools to help the other on field character like a powerful assist, heals and good special moves. An example is Krillin in dbfz his normals are stubby but he has a really good assist and a senzu beam that heals
Plot twist: Yuumi will actually be the most powerful character and carry everyone
Would be funny if she was like Mokujin, instead of having her own style, she climbs on a random champ and makes the champ to fight for her

Poppy gets past the height problem in the same way Charlotta does in Granblue Versus. You make the weapon count as part of her hitbox.

I think Samira could be what Jamie currently is at Street Fighter 6, getting new moves with each style.
Riven was made to be a fighting game character in terms of gameplay with combos and animation cancels so it wouldn't be a surprise.
Sett would make a great grappler I suppose, getting more grit as his hp gets lower which he can use to turn the tables.
Orianna can be a potential puppet character.
Shaco is most likely will be in it. He is perfect with his clone and boxes.

Samira I can agree. Sett is a meh, he's too copy/pasta of another fighting game character. Riven is a hard pass, no one plays her in SR and the only notable thing shes been in was Noxian Nights

Actually instead of a zoner I vote that Vex plays more like Zato, a difficult execution puppet character who can put you in The Blender if you don't respect their pressure. It would make sense considering both of them have extremely similar abilities

He's more like punch, punch, punch and more punches similar to characters like Broly (DBFZ) or Soriz (GBVS). But his ultimate finisher better be his Show Stopper. So, he better have atleast one command-grab move.

My silly stupid opinion is that they should add Tristana and Teemo on top of each other (like 2 kids in a trenchcoat) to fix the hit box problem and to get 2 yordles in for the price of one.

His chances are honestly not THAT low. Faust from Guilty Gear is a pretty similar character and he has been a well established part of that franchise for literally decades
Dr. Mundo could be an amazing grappler. His passive could be implemented as hyperarmor for his attacks. I'd love to see him in this game.

sett is the perfect fit for a fighting game, hes already in the soul fighter event for that reason, he punches people and suplexs people, and is a pitfighter
and he is also pretty popular because handsome man big muscles
so I think sett should absolutely be included in project L

Sett and Jack the Winner sound like a pretty good duo DLC down the line. It'd be criminal to exclude Sett from the fighting game and Jack's the best partner he could have that he actually has a connection to.

Gwen would actually be an interesting addition as a high attack speed, combo fighter for Shadow Isles. If she gets her mist she can ignore zoners, and otherwise is all about getting her rapid snips to deal damage, so low normal damage, but have it add to a counter for dem serious snips. Her league kit is pretty much perfect for this.
Doesn't make much sense as Gwen is an enemy of the Shadow Isles, but they could add her regardless of that. I think it's a little stupid to try to give all regions representation. They should add cool characters that feel good to play instead of favoring champions for their background.

Honestly, I just kinda want Sona, Vex, or Gwen
Otherwise, so far, I'm gonna be using Ahri (problem is Ahri is gonna be an incredibly mainstream pick, so I want good characters that aren't mainstream)
I don't really care about any of the other characters so far, so right now my team is Darius and Ahri.
And the worst characters so far are Echo and the weird ass half shave atlantis looking ass woman, you won't catch me dead using those things.
Sett, Jax, Alistar and Draven are shadow-confirmed by their lore. They all just met recently and are planning on getting into arenas together... So yeah, kinda hinting them taking part in project L
If they bring in *Alistar* as their only monster character... I'm not sure if I'd be mad or impressed.

Gnar would be such a cool inclusion. Imagine the mini with a smaller hit box but less damage, and you build up a rage meter into mega, which deals more damage but has a bigger hit box. 2 completely different fighters jammed into 1 and allows for skill expression as well.
I can’t imagine Draven not coming out, even as DLC. He’d make an insane zoning character if he keeps the same themes as he does in League.

A fun combo could be Thresh and Mordekaiser.
You see Thresh in Noxus in the Wild Rift trailer, so a potential plot for a story mode for this game could be about Thresh seeking out Mordekaiser.

I feel like Azir would be the "Noob Saibot" character, while I think fiddle should be a "Double" from Skullgirls type of character, just a very flexible blob that has no actual form, who's abilities are just other characters' abilities

@AboveW after I wrote it, maybe the Double character type would fit more for Zac, since he's yk a blob, but with Fiddle's kit in the game I feel like he would be like a zoner? long range attacks with his sythe, he can throw out long range attacks like his AA's or Q, include a few attacks where he throws out his scarecrows, maybe he can pull opponents in and then use a move like his ult thats very close range? idk
Would absolutely love it if they managed to pull off Kayn’s two different play styles. Some how incorporating his transformation mid game would be something.

That would be dope. I like to play zoners a lot, but I prefer zoner hybrids over the more pure ones.

I think he also hates the very much because he only plays NRS fighting games IIRCS, and in Injustuce, they made projectiles absurdly overpowered.

Plenty of people theorized Samira was made specifically *for* Project L, considering the time of her release fits neatly with when the game would've been in the early concept stage. I mean considering that she's a massive reference to Dante, and Dante has kinda become the unofficial mascot of MVC, it'd make a lot of sense if she was always planned to be in from the get-go
I kinda like this roster, even if there is a little much Zaun for such a limited amount of characters. Also, did you draw those icons, they are amazing.
Vex is a really good idea, but there's another way to have a tall yordle that you've overlooked: Veigar standing on the shoulders of two of his minions, wearing a long robe over them.

i really like your expansion ideas, but i think it would be cooler instead of xayah and Rakan, having only Xayah and she being able to call rakan to asist her during combat (like A18 calling 17 in DBFZ), and Also a "Figthers for Icathia" expansion with jax, okay i only want jax in the game

What do you mean by 10 slots? If this will be the live service game, the rooster will be increased like league with new champions every 3 months. That's like the point of the game to not make it Mortal Kombat 2.0 with every new part costing $70.
Fighting games dont need alot of characters tho I can imagine up to 6 dlc characters

Of the enchanters I'd be leaning towards Janna. Sona is powerful but she's a mind control musician I don't think she'd translate well, same for soraka. Janna though I think has a moveset that can sort of translate- she can launch tornadoes, perhaps use her bird as a projectile and have knockbacks for her assist moves.

I think I would add yordles as power-ups, like those in pokken tournament. Like if you picked Lulu she would give you her R to knock up the enemy, Veigar would just throw a Q, poppy could dash and knock back the enemy, heimer could spawn a flying turret or sth that deals bonus damage with the champions combos, teemo could spawn mushrooms on the map, etc
Funny League of Fighters would've been a better name.

The concept of vex as a puppet character didn’t even occur to me until I saw your thumbnail but I’d be SO down for that. Love the ideas presented here and agree with virtually all of em, I’m genuinely excited for this game and it may be one of the few fighting games that get added to the list of ones I like!

I think heimerdigner would work really well in the game, he could fill the yordle and piltover slot as well as being a partner for ekko
There was an interview where they where talking about how they would implement yordles in the game i forgot what they said but i think they had some way to balance them being short
Imagine pantheon, initiating an advance with his shield, a barrage of spears and then using his ultimate ability, knocking up and ascending the enemy to the skies, taking him to the stars and then descending in an explosion
They could make like a tag team where lulu sizes up a yordle at the start and stays in the background (she could also be included in some combos)
Honestly bet they throw Ryze in there. He's definitely one of their poster children and I think he'd have potential

I want them to add Nunu and Willump, either as seperate characters or as some form of ice climbers because it would be so hilarious to have a literal child gremlin going around throwing snowballs and then a humunguous yeti monster that does massive close range meelee damage
They could do some weird stuff with girdles where they bring in yordle(teemo)+ yuumi, and then being stacked on top of each other could increase their hit box to be inline with other champs. Then they could include combos utilizing them as 2 characters in 1. Like ice climbers in smash. I could see that being an approach for some iconic yordles

I was playing this game at EVO but actually 7 has been confirmed. Ahri, Ekko, Darius, Yasuo, Jinx, Illaoi, and Katarina. I do like the duo aspect in it from each region. So probably next would be Garen and Lux from Demacia
