Best thing about this vid is that it introduced me to the amazing themes they have been giving these new champs. It is a shame we don't get to hear them in client since the removal of log-in animations.
Man, I have the exact opposite feeling about the CGU. His old appearance was "weird noodle", he looks naked without his stars, and I absolutely hate his new braindead kit. It's literally easier to play than Yuumi, and that's coming from someone who has M7 on both.
Hwei is like the super simplified version of invoker except invokers abilities have to be made and are dramatically different like summoning meteors or tornados causing emps or calling the literatal sun to attack you
Did Milio dirty. From an enchanter main who loves playing them- Milio is a welcome addition who feels like he was released shortly after Lulu in terms of kit. His gameplay screams old League and that makes me happy. Always welcome another cute enchanter to the botlane. Hwei needs to stop going support though.
yeah, Milio was a welcome surprise for me, I love his kit, I've been having so much fun playing him, it's surprising how engaged I am when playing him even tho he has just one damaging ability, but you don't even feel it bc the short shield cd has you occupied with all the stuff you can block with it without worrying about not having the shield later, at least that's what I noce myself doing when playing him

I still miss my old aurelion playstyle, in my opinion Riot did basically the same misstake again as they did with the Aatrox rework. Also they said, they will never remove a champion or change his playstyle completally, which is exactly, what they did there. The new Aurelion has a fine ability concept, but it misses the core of the old Aurelion, the early roam potencial, the movement, everything. I just don't get, why they haven't released the new Aurelion as a seperate Champion, maybe, whith a similar artstyle, we know, that Aurelion is not the only celestial beeing, so it would've been possible, to just make another one and leave the old one, how he was back then. IMO this would've been the best way to handle the situation
Man, the Jax rework was my favorite of the year for the only reason that they kept his cocky/chill wanderer hero attitude intact AND JUST MAKE HIM OLD, like a literal war veteran with emphasis on veteran. I love him so much.

The Milio ult description that essentially boils downs to “nUhHuH” had me dying 💀
I'm literally just in the Ambessa Medarda & Shyvana VGU waiting room right now, everything else that comes out is just icing.
That was really good. Yours champion rewind are always bangers, Nickyboy.
Hey! I would love Hwei being an older man, to really show he has empirical knowledge in his art.
Best thing about this vid is that it introduced me to the amazing themes they have been giving these new champs. It is a shame we don't get to hear them in client since the removal of log-in animations.
Hate how I have to wait a year for these. Wanna binge these NOW.
Man, I have the exact opposite feeling about the CGU. His old appearance was "weird noodle", he looks naked without his stars, and I absolutely hate his new braindead kit. It's literally easier to play than Yuumi, and that's coming from someone who has M7 on both.
the MHW music at the end took me back omg, the joy and relief of hearing that music after a 49 minute hunt
5:37 Perhaps the goofiest edit I’ve ever seen
naafiri is my first time on an assassin and i love her so much. shes such a cool character and i love her lines.
I've been waiting for this. I always enjoy these rewinds.
Why do I still crack up at 4 jokes whenever Jhin makes a sudden cameo
I main Hwei and for me, Hwei is a fun champion. The thrill on which right skill you need to use in teamfights, I just love him ✨
(I play Hwei Support)
Hwei is like the super simplified version of invoker except invokers abilities have to be made and are dramatically different like summoning meteors or tornados causing emps or calling the literatal sun to attack you
Did Milio dirty. From an enchanter main who loves playing them- Milio is a welcome addition who feels like he was released shortly after Lulu in terms of kit.
His gameplay screams old League and that makes me happy. Always welcome another cute enchanter to the botlane.
Hwei needs to stop going support though.
yeah, Milio was a welcome surprise for me, I love his kit, I've been having so much fun playing him, it's surprising how engaged I am when playing him even tho he has just one damaging ability, but you don't even feel it bc the short shield cd has you occupied with all the stuff you can block with it without worrying about not having the shield later, at least that's what I noce myself doing when playing him
As someone who only gets to play periodically every few years, videos like this are really helpful!!!!!!
ALSO, riot completely took Nicky's observation about Asol and just doubled down on what he said..... LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO THE SPACE PUPPER NOW!!! T.T
I've always seen you through others videos, but saw this pop up on my feed and decided to give this a go, just subbed. Why ? monster hunter music. Good taste :) and some wrestling references. gj gj
26:10 Don't think we didn't notice you using Seraphine's Crystal Rose passive music
20:35 hey Nicky could you make this a sound bite for people to use in memes? I can’t get enough of it.
So much for Faker's ex-Worlds Skin choice (-500$)
Your transitions will be written in the books of history if transitions.
One of my favorite things about the Aurelion Sol rework was the fact that on Wild Rift he was given the ability to move slightly while casting Starfire so it looks less ridiculous than on PC League where the just stand still and ereases you
I really miss old asol, since the rework I don’t play with him anymore
Nah wait they named dropped you and they aint letting you in the partner program. Thats wild
7:11 “He’s not overpowered, he’s lore accurate.”
you are correct nicky, i clicked on the video because i saw ahri in the thumbnail
i was going to watch it anyways later this week but seeing my otp gave me an extra sense of urgency
You know it's a good video when it makes you laugh in the first second.
Loving the Fulgore music in the background of the Briar section lol
I can’t get over the sky landers memes in every video it’s amazing
the mhw steamworks ost you used is now stuck in my head. god damnit nicky
Asol was one of the first champions I ever mained in Lol. I think his update is an atrocity lmao
Man, the Jax rework was my favorite of the year for the only reason that they kept his cocky/chill wanderer hero attitude intact AND JUST MAKE HIM OLD, like a literal war veteran with emphasis on veteran. I love him so much.
Not to mention that Naaferi was said in a retcon to be Varus’s sister. A character teased six years ago and she has no special connection for Varus
⚠️ SKARNER ACTIVITY ⚠️
I love that when it comes to champion updates, everyone completely forgets about my boi Zilean, including Riot
Dude I had to rewatch at least twice about Briar when the Max edit showed up. And Killer instinct music?! Noice.
18:44 WHERE ARE THEY NICKY
I am commenting as early as now, that we need the season 7, 8 and 9 retrospective videos.
