I initially wasn't on the titanium boat mostly because of price compared to steel. Yet, I changed my tune when I realized how many of my steel inserts were bending over time. I have yet to bend or break a Ti insert and with hot melt, I have been able to re-use inserts in new arrows a couple of times. This makes the up front cost a worthwhile investment in the long run and I am considering using these inserts for my target setups as well.
Might be overkill when I say this but, I did an experiment with my 0.000 digital scale. Just for fun. I noticed the measurements are different in some cases if the scale isn't "tared" after each time it's used. I found it to be more accurate if the tare button is pressed and zero'd each time. After checking out the proper use of a digital scale I now tare it each time its used to weight an item. Because the items are so light the scale pick up an unseen memory somehow. I've had up to .3 of a grains difference weighting the same items but taring the scale after each use. For long range components I now reset the scale each time.
To tilt the other way I was looking to add 25 grains to your 50 grain Ti half outs OR wait to see if you made some 75’s. My FOC magic happens with 200 up front and on my 🇨🇦 Island in the Pacific North West sourcing 150 grain broad heads is near impossible with local shops. Everything out here is 100 and 125’s. Thankfully Iron Will had 150 field points and 150 SB Wide Broad heads, plus Grim Reaper ships 150’s to Canada………but it would be nice to shop all the 125 locally with that added back weight or Podium Ti 75’s. - Take my Maple Syrup smelling money!
Pretty slick. I may have to rry these on my next 5mm build. I went down the FOC rabbit hole, and think I can actually get away with a signifcantly lighter arrow (440gr) compared to what I'm shooting now (510gr).
Yup you can. I have 200 grains up front and my moose arrow is 435grains. It hits so hard I have to shoot brand new target blocks or the fletching gets buried into the target. Brand new 3d targets, it almost goes right up to the fletching. 5inchs deeper than my longrange arrows at 343grains. I truly think 170 grains up front and a lighter arrow hits harder cause of the speed behind it. 450 grains is lots.. I wish I could show ya the way those 4mm moose arrows plow targets. Its insane!!
I ordered the 50 grains and the price was the same if you selected the 30 grain option($7.99). If they truly are $4.50 for the 30 grains I probably would have gone that route and bought the collars or used 20 grain fact weights
U should make a collar for your 4mm titanium inserts I wasted $100 on dozen and ain't using them cause the outside diameter is way smaller than all the 7 different broadheads I have so went back to ethics to get proper alignment
Man I was hoping they would be 25gr, that way I could shoot 125 gr heads and 150 grain heads and have the arrows weigh the same, but looking at them it would be tough to cut 5 more grains off.
Assuming that I wanted a specific weight for my insert/broadhead combination and wanted ss or titanium for the insert, is it more durable to have more or less of that final weight in the insert or the broadhead?
It’s fine rule of thumb is if it’s within a half grain it’s ok and his was exactly that, other manufacturers have the same deviation, just weigh everything out and match light components to heavy visa versa when building arrows look up josh bowmars video on arrow building he explains it all

Are these 30g inserts + the 15g collars you offer good for BE Rampage 5mm arrows? Really wanting to use these!

15 k views. I watched it a couple times 😂 always trying to help
Make them for.166😁👍
Is there any chance for 20-30 grain inserts for .166 arrows? Namely VapSS
He just said in the video he can’t

Do you have a 50 or 75 grain titanium insert for 244 standard arrows?
On the website they are the same price as the 50

Insert for sure
MFJJ, how about a review of the outdoor groups new Altra arrow line. What day you??
I'm still trying to decide the total weight I want.
Good shit tho 👍👍
Is that good or bad that they all weigh different?

Is it possible to do a .244
Mine were $7.99 each
