Hey Josh thanks for sharing something on a real personal level . My heart goes out to u sounds like u went through a real ruff patch funny how you really find out who your true friends are a lot of fair weather friends is what I call them . Love your guys message and love the vids keep them coming .
Over the past 30 months I have been fortunate to own and shoot the following bows: V3 31 V3 27 V3X 29 V3X 33 Phase 4 33 Image Ventum 33 Ventum 33 Pro VTM 34 RX-7 Ultra Prime Black 3 Prime Black 5 Prime Inline 3 Prime Inline 1 Prime REVEX 4 Bowtech Solution SS Bowtech SS34 I know, that is a lot of bows, but legit I have owned all of those and shot them and sold most of them in Ebay or traded them at my local shop. The Bowtech SS34 is EASILY the best bow of this group and 2nd place is a distant second and that would be the V3X 33. I know, it is totally personal and different for all. I just wanted to share that as someone who has had a chance to really shoot a lot of bows - the SS34 is just incredible. Pros - smoothest draw with no competition, zero shock or vibe, Deadlock system is light years ahead of all other cam lean systems, solid velocity, very forgiving, highly accurate if you do your part, excellent and highly repeatable grip. Cons - crappy factory strings (serving separation on cables in less than 50 shots), no decent 2-piece quiver options, no integrated sight option. Thanks!
Awesome to see MFJJ and Tim keeping us posted with new uploads. Any chance we could get an explanation on peep height? Especially when using slider/moving sights. I know you can adjust your peep height to the average distance your shooting when shooting longer ranges but I think myself and other archers would like to watch an explanation/demo of how it works. Mahalos MFJJ and gang😬🤙🏽 Edit: I commented instantly after the first minute and was clocking out of work. As I’m watching this at home…MFJJ Godspeed Bruddah! We appreciate you sharing these personal things which is life and looking forward to see you moving forward with positive energy! Mahalos! 🤙🏽
I love all your videos but it would really help the viewing experience if you could work on the audio a bit, it’s pretty tough to hear you speaking at times. Other than that your videos are always great!
@@KA-lm6sp it’s hard to focus on the content when I could only hear what he is saying when he is facing the camera. His videos are always great and I love the tips and tricks so it’s not like I’m trying to be rude to the guy, just giving a friendly bit of input to make the video even better.
yo mfjj really sorry to hear about the D word and trouble you went through last year. come back strong my man youre doing great, thanks for the content
Glad to hear ya doing better after the dust settled, thats a helll of a stretch for anyone. Keep truckin brotha, hope theres much better times ahead after all those hardships
I would like Josh to do a video explaining the cam lean a little more. I am not sure why (maybe from RUclips U where I have been learning from) but I don't think I have heard anyone say cams can be shimmed differently. I am pretty curious about this as I currently have my bow where the bottom cam is leaning, but the top is straight. I don't feel as though my paper tear is consistent.
You are not kidding when you said "you find out who your true friends are." Currently going through a divorce and I've kept to myself and haven't told "my side of the story" to anybody but family, and you wouldn't believe the amount of people who choose sides and the people who haven't heard my side that still stand behind me and have my back, those are true friends. The rest of them can kick rocks
Where are you located? I feel like when person buys a bow , the shop does not do this for the customer. I think if a shop would do this for every customer. They would have more return customers.
Hi Josh. Thanks for a great setup talk through. I may have missed it, but could you do a specific episode on how you adjust the wheel lean on the Bowtech... using you best crayons. Tried it once... Greetings and thanks from South Africa
wheh you are woking on the bow ,,,, show what your doing on the Bow not Josh ,, we know what Josh looks like ,,, missing some important moves ,, on the bow ,,,,
Cool build. Too bad I couldn’t see much of it happening. Not that he’s not a good lookin dude, but I’d like to see what he’s doing not shots of him looking at what he’s doing.
So you moved your top cam to match your bottom cam and then you went and moved your bottom cam to line up with the top cam???? Moving your bottom just made the top not lined up…
Im 30 and going through a divorce. I think the hardest part for me is starting over and having the woman u wanted to spend your life with not have that anymore is challenging
I traded my omnia for an ss34. For me it's a long range hunting bow. The first thing bad I noticed is that the serving on the cables is coming undone. But it's very accurate so I think a new set of strings is in the works
The serving wear issue is a re-occurring issue for most people with this bow and the cp30. Just a heads up. Probably a great bow but kind of a bummer with that being the case.
Glad to hear ya doing better after the dust settled, thats a helll of a stretch for anyone. Keep truckin brotha, hope theres much better times ahead after all those hardships
The beginning of this video should have been your first video podcast letting everyone get to know more about you and Tim. But that said, my vote for prime on the fourth. They also have an epsilon mount on their new bow
Wish you would do a Mach 34 but I know you’ll pick the aluminum version to keep it all the same. Thanks for doing this, a lot of hard work on your end.
I'm really appreciating your level of knowledge in these videos. Since I'm new here, have you done many broadhead reviews/comparisons? I would be interested in your thoughts on grizzly stik. I shoot the 125 grain maasai, single bevel (left). I like the robust heads that can be reused, resharpened,
And nooo way Tim thats unreal lol woulda never guessed. Im golf and hockey obsessed along with archery and bow hunting. Been golfing and playing hockey since i was a little one, thats so crazy and awesome to hear 💪🏼
Awesome idea mfjj! Looking forward to the videos, bummer about the last few years but hopefully everything is going better for you man!! Hopefully 2023 is good to u
Great video and great chemistry between the two of you. Looking forward to the other builds and the comparisons. As always the hair do is rocking, but that comes from someone with a hair don't.
PSE over the Prime. I've owned Prime and while this year they made a huge improvement I still bought a PSE. The Mach 34 is definitely a beast, while the uniqueness of the Revex is best in a target bow sized platform
Didn’t expect that intro for a bow build video.. Sorry to hear you’ve been through the ringer MFJJ, your videos and your attitude are an inspiration. Loving these build videos, happy you finally found the time.. Prayers for you and yours-and keep your children out of prison!

SS34 is definitely my favorite bow of 2023!
A youtube archery channel not using Mathews!?!?! shock horror
You said hunting and 34" bows, PSE MACH 34 sounds good to me to be put in with the Big 4... If you don't ask, you don't get, no harm in asking...
Over the past 30 months I have been fortunate to own and shoot the following bows:

V3 27

I know, that is a lot of bows, but legit I have owned all of those and shot them and sold most of them in Ebay or traded them at my local shop.

Hey, JJ, are you going to wear the brand name T-shirt for each bow build?
I would appreciate a video on the design of that press attachment that he made to set the axis. If you're willing to share lol

Maybe prime Revex 4 for the # 4 bow?
I love all your videos but it would really help the viewing experience if you could work on the audio a bit, it’s pretty tough to hear you speaking at times. Other than that your videos are always great!
I literally came here to say the same thing. Audio is a little rough. Sounds like a speaker phone convo
I come for the content, not the audio quality, and the content is awesome. I have no problem understanding him.

Appreciate all the work and time you put into your channel Josh and my condolences for your family losses ❤❤❤❤
SS 34, VTM 34, Phase 4 33, and whatever else will be a fun comparison. My money is on the SS 34 in the end.....
So have you finally compared your builds yet with your personal setups? Appreciate the many builds but how did they do?
Do you have any problems with a past parallel bow in the last chance press
Build a PSE Fortis 33!!
When does Bow 2 come out? The suspense is killing me! lol
yo mfjj really sorry to hear about the D word and trouble you went through last year. come back strong my man youre doing great, thanks for the content
super pumped for this series, was kinda bummed we didnt happen last year. any thoughts of doing similar with the carbon bows?
Stayed tuned for noods.. oh I mean the podcast 🤣🤙
Prime for the fourth bow!
Love me some SS34..!!!
Tim. Put the camera where he’s doing the work. I wanted to see Josh flip the comfort to performance. Do you need a press. Damn
I have the SX 80 and the SR 350 and you don't need a press, just take out the three screws and flip it.
No press needed
Glad to hear ya doing better after the dust settled, thats a helll of a stretch for anyone. Keep truckin brotha, hope theres much better times ahead after all those hardships
That's MY Bow! And I love it!!! 😊
PLEASE DO A PRIME. Then you pretty much have a review for wich buy I'm buying next year. I'm between these but I'm also a poor
Just bought that bow. 60# and love it smooth as can be
Thanks MFJJ and Tim. I appreciate the hard work making the videos. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
I need some more pumped up techno music, drone shots, and montages of slow motion shit. My attention span is AMERICAN.
So josh, with the “cam issues” with the ss34…. Could you in theory swap the cams to something like the sr350 or something like that?
Mach 34! Interested to see what you find out
For a hunting purpose If you could choose between the Carbon One or SS 34 wich would you pick?
Keep moving forward, Josh. Shit will roll on. Also, maybe for the fourth bow, seeing as how you like longer ata bows--give Randy Kitts some love?
You are not kidding when you said "you find out who your true friends are." Please do prime I think you will be surprised how much you like them
This is the bow I want after shooting phase4, v3x, hoyt , prime. Waiting for a chance to shoot elites.
Hi Josh.
Thanks for a great setup talk through.
I may have missed it, but could you do a specific episode on how you adjust the wheel lean on the Bowtech... using you best crayons.
Tried it once...
Greetings and thanks from South Africa
wheh you are woking on the bow ,,,, show what your doing on the Bow not Josh ,, we know what Josh looks like ,,, missing some important moves ,, on the bow ,,,,
you have my condolence for you father and grandmother cause I lost my gram earlier this year, and as you said what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Will the aluminum limb pockets from the sx80 fit on the ss34?
Cool build. Too bad I couldn’t see much of it happening. Not that he’s not a good lookin dude, but I’d like to see what he’s doing not shots of him looking at what he’s doing.
This video made my whole weekend, thanks for real life content. Really busted me
So you moved your top cam to match your bottom cam and then you went and moved your bottom cam to line up with the top cam????
Moving your bottom just made the top not lined up…
Love the content, I would like to see a deep dive how to in using the SpottHogg laser? Just picked one up and would love to know the tips and tricks.
Im 30 and going through a divorce. I think the hardest part for me is starting over and having the woman u wanted to spend your life with not have that anymore is challenging
This will be good to watch. Some people claim to tinker and what not and will only shoot a Mathews.
Wow he can pull 80lbs I’m 3 times his size and I can’t even deal with 70 lol
Is there really a best bow to each there own I like that Josh don’t have a Matthews tramp stamp on his lower back and gives them all a chance
"Anything worth doing is worth OVERdoing."
-Me-
Please run the REVEX 4 would love to see you give it a fair shake.
What’s the thoughts on issues with bow tech limbs in the past?
Would be sweet if you checked out Athens Archery bows
I vote PSE 34 carbon for the fourth bow build!!!
Make a t shirt to wear at big sky single ready to mingle you send out such good vibes on your channel
I traded my omnia for an ss34. For me it's a long range hunting bow. The first thing bad I noticed is that the serving on the cables is coming undone. But it's very accurate so I think a new set of strings is in the works

All seems too easy, watching someone who knows what they're doing.
Like the video. But you need wide angle lens to show what he is actually doing. Keep it up
How much faster can you get the BT paper tuned by checking the lean at draw with a laser?
Can the deadlock/"cam lean" tuning change whether your 2nd axis is inline?
Definitely the bow I’d buy this year! but can’t buy one every year
Yesss! This is what I’ve been waiting for!
I WILL DRIVE OUT THERE AND BUY THIS SETUP FROM JOSH!
Ps I live in Georgia! Love you dudes
I buy and resell new and used bows here in Brazil. If you can sell me the bows, we can do good business.
Glad to hear ya doing better after the dust settled, thats a helll of a stretch for anyone. Keep truckin brotha, hope theres much better times ahead after all those hardships
Golf is 1000x harder to get good at than archery.
And you never get to eat anything you hit with a golf ball.
@@jasonehredt968 totally agree. Big archery hunter here. Only play a little golf haha
Do a prime bow ! Dime a dozen with PSE bow builds
I like how Josh says point high instead of tail low. Old school :)
Damn I really want to make the trip to your shop and have you set me up a bow.
Love these videos guys! What do you plan on doing with the bows you don’t decide to go with? Cough *sell me SS34 at 29” draw* cough. 😂😂😂
You should do the Mach 34 for the fourth bow throw a carbon in there
Do you set your center at 13/16 let ist sit and the rest come with the cam
lol that’s gangster.. i love the bow build videos
The beginning of this video should have been your first video podcast letting everyone get to know more about you and Tim.
But that said, my vote for prime on the fourth. They also have an epsilon mount on their new bow
9 holes in the morning, 3D in the afternoon... let's go
I love the bit of insight into your personal lives. Just a bit. Its non of our business, however I am glad you guys are doing good.
Blastin' B Holes first shot. Impressive!
Wish you would do a Mach 34 but I know you’ll pick the aluminum version to keep it all the same. Thanks for doing this, a lot of hard work on your end.
Awesome i vote prime for the fourth bow

Prime for the 4th bow!.. PLEASE!
Be interesting to see if you get serving separation with those Gas threads.
Whatever happened with the bow giveaways?
Why do you like limb driven rests so much ?
curve ball.... PSE Mach 34 as the 4th?
Great video! Hope there is a follow-up that goes over your final tuning process for the SS34. Might be very educational to your community.
Far to close on him and not what he is doing there man. Just a tip....
Awesome idea mfjj! Looking forward to the videos, bummer about the last few years but hopefully everything is going better for you man!! Hopefully 2023 is good to u

My buddy just ordered mine. Can’t wait!
I got that laser tool, and I absolutely love it. It's a real game-changer.
Me too. Mid build for my new bow right now. Laser will get some work tomorrow.
Tutorial on how he made the draw board????
best bow for old guys with bad shoulders
this cool to watch, lots of interesting ways to get you bow in tune
Sweet Video Josh and Tim. Glad you are doing well Josh! 👊🏻
Love the videos! Hope to see a PSE built out for the 4th bow! I have been shooting my PSE bow madness for 10 years now. That SS 34 has my eye though!
Now that is an awesome looking bow. I have to agree, that color is nice. Looking forward to see what's next.
