Many have mentioned AC Milan and Inter Milan, but have they fallen? Granted they aren't as good as they once were, but they still finished in the top half (just!) of Serie A last season.
+Football Daily
Yeah...but with a such a good history you will expecting them to be in the top 4. The plays have potential 😔😔 they don't show it. You will expect AC Milan to win a few trophies (at least) but...like i said AC milan (also inter) players have potential but they don't show it
It would be a balanced argument as they might (i said might) be some good football in the early years ( hopefully months). I wish they have a good season even though i am not a fan of milan
Real Oviedo?
Newcastle United 1996 PL Runners up, Alan Shearer. Now in the championship
loserpool?
Who remembers Parma in 1999, they had a good squad with players like Buffon, Crespo, Cannavaro.
ScottyKG21 They had a brilliant squad!
+ScottyKG21 Damn.
And now they can't even hold on to Biabiany
+ScottyKG21 +Football Daily and rangers put them out of the champions league that year ;)
A real shame about these clubs, but it happens to players too!
List your best fallen players, for example Fernando Torres :(
Football Daily kaka
Adriano
Adybayor
+Emine Guner (JustDutchGaming) he hasn't fallen.
fredy santos bruh he was the best player in the world at ac milan (correct me if i'm wrong) but totally lost his form after a big money deal to Real madrid and then yeah he came back to ac milan and played decent and he did go to the US which is amazing for football in the US but he is not the good footballer he was at ac milan before real madrid. #Warmballers4life
Liverpool should be on here. Dominated the Prem till Fergie came...
Liverpool never "dominated" the premier league they never win it.
Zivko LFC have never won a Premier League title, but I know what you mean.
smiffytf liverpool have won it 18 times, but not since it became the barclays premier league
Liverpool have never won the prem. they won the English title 18 times before the premier league became the name of English top flight football. And they haven't fallen that far considering they're still a top 6 team
liverpool and united should be here
Top 10 Fallen Players?
First With the likes of Kaka, Torres, Ronaldo, etc.
First And don't forget Messi.
The dumbsst comment on the whole of youtube^^^
First Gerrard
For example: Kaka, Balotelli (not so good, but his drop was spectacular), Gerrard, Torres, Casillas and much more...
Parma used to be a great team in the 90's with players like Buffon, Cannavaro, Thuram, Veron, Stoichkov, Zola, Crespo. These players are legends!
I think Deportivo is missing
True
Also real Oviedo
Ik players like juan Mata and Santi cazorla used to play for them
Rodrigo Antunez but that was before they were good players. And i dont think oviedo ever was like a really good team
Deportivo has a nice squad this year
Top 10 rising clubs
Tom Evans southampton, Swansea, Bournemouth...
Teemuli1 3 of the teams I was thinking of
Norwich?
Without money
Norwich were relegated 2 seasons ago, but they were class last season!
AC Milan have fallen quite a bit since selling kaka
A bit ? from maybe the brst tram europe to 7th place in italy
Karim Al Husaini *best
Yeah well I meant in comparison to teams like Leeds and Forest
Daniel St John nah dude we were class until we sold Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, then we had 2 more decent seasons with the top 3 finish and then 2 horrible ones :)
Leon Benko what year was that? I remember IBRA with Milan on Fifa 12
Newcastle is next
Pikpac1999 and liverpool
Alex Roberto they aren't giants lol
Alex Roberto Yeah, no.
Scouse Slayer Your name...
Scouse Slayer united= cabbage enjoy mediocrity.
Next is probably Barcelona & Real Madrid, if one of them doesn't buy Lord Bendtner.
LMAO
Most likely Madrid because once they can't buy anybody for some time their players will age or leave/retire and from all their youth players casillas is probably their best player and only decent player but gets treated like shit.
MegaDior123 Correction: "casillas WAS probably their best player and only decent player". He is no longer in real madrid, he is now playing for F.C.Porto.
Jorge Trujillo Barcelona fluked the champions league, if they want to consistently they need to sign the lord..... and Heskey.
Daniel Norrman Barca did NOT fluke the UCL, they're the best team in Europe easily. 3 of the top 4 attackers in the world play for them, Messi Suarez Neymar, the other being CR7. Also they have a great midfield with Iniesta, Busquets and Rakitic and a solid defence with Pique, Mascherano, Alba and Alves. And of course a choice of two brilliant GKs.
I Remember when Portsmouth were class with Jermain Defoe Peter Crouch David James and Kevin Prince Boateng Glen Johnson Johnas Kaboul was actually quite sad to see them decline so quickly
I love this channel
We may have fallen but we are putting up a good fight to get back in the premier league
Had a few good signings.
Tbh i think the possible clubs to get promoted are: Wednesday, Bristol City, Boro, Hull, Burnley, Derby, Ipswich, Wolves or Blackburn.
Pablo Suarez Get rid of Wednesday, Bristol and Blackburn and then your list will be perfect, although I would love to see Blackburn back in the prem.
+The Hype Men well we've only been in this league for two seasons and the first one we finished towards the bottom and last season we finished mid season so we are improving
***** is the league still too good for us
I feel sad for Leeds hope they can win the champions league in the next few decades and so can arsenal
And you will sign all the french young players from leeds in the next decades
Leeds are scum they can fuck off
MOT!
Cheers bro (I support leeds)
We (Middlesbrough) aren't Giants
I am an KV mechelen fan...i watch every game when they play at their home stadium...now they are back in first devision after dropping to third...nice video btw new sub
Grimsby Town were top of what is now the Championship when England defeated Germany 5-1 a few years ago. They had even finished 5th in the Premier League (albeit in 1935).
Now they compete in the National League which has many part time teams, and the likes of Eastleigh, Guiseley, Bromley and Dover. Grimsby were relegated from the second tier in 2003, and were in the Conference (now National League) by 2010. After over 100 seasons of League football, they were relegated.
Adam Taylor A real shame. Is this their season to make a return to the football league?
Hope so!
They're 6th in League 2 now.
grimsby are back in league two now! Can the Mariners return to glory?
Well there should be a Part 2 with more European Teams. Even though I think its sad what happened to all of these clubs.
Suggestions:
Germany: FC Cologne, TSV 1860 Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Hamburger SV, Kaiserslautern,
France: Lille, Lyon, RC Lens,
Norway: Rosenborg Trondheim
Serbia: Both Teams from Belgrad
Spain: Deportivo
ETC
But please make a differences between Teams like AC Milan for example who just have a bad period and Teams like for example Parma.
What do you mean Lyon? They were second place this season and first for a while.
Guybrush Threepwood Lyon just came second, and Lille only just had a had a below par season, and they've never been giants.
Guybrush Threepwood Saint-Etienne not Lyon
Kopite Malc
You should call it Fallen Clubs anyway.
Lille and Lyon?
love these - would love to collaborate on an Australian one? NSL days
Man U gonna make it to this list
Portsmouth play in League 2 !?!?
Wow! Things happen so fast
deportivo la coruna had players like Bebeto, Roy Makaay, Diego Tristan, Rivaldo.
I would say that list is bang on
Top ten!!
Next Aston villa
Plz Make a Transfer Talk vid
Just for that the true comments about rangers you have earnt my subscription
Also, are Wigan classed as a giant?
Wigan May have won the FA cup in 2012 but they got relegated the same year
They just got lucky
Trucker dude 7 no they wanted it more and worked hard for it! No luck involved
Football Daily No way, they spent most of their history as an amateur side
+welovevenkys What does that have to do with anything? We're proud of our history. #COYL
+Song Name? It matters, because if you spent most of the time as an amateur side, you aren't a giant. I also think at least half of the Football League clubs have more history than Wigan.
What’s the name of the track playing in the background?
Real madrid ? I'm liking the grey stripes on the home jersey, looks sharp!
Liverpool,Ac Milan, Inter Milan,Ajax, and Newcastle???
liverpool, ac milan and inter milan haven't really fallen from grace and newcastle were never giants in the first place
PP Hyjynx Pretty sure Newcastle is bigger than Portsmouth but whatever ;)
Just Be Loco yeah 😄
I'd say they are about the same
Wimbledon?
The channel is called football daily, not tennis daily
Matthews Gaming Wow you're really funny
+Mathews gaming don't know if troll or very stupid
I'm surprised they're not on here either.
Are now called mk dons
Munich 1860,Real Oviedo,Deportivo Alaves,Blackburn,Derby,Fulham,Union Berlin,HSV,...
Jovan Markovic Only Deportivo and HSV were giants
welovevenkys Blacburn-Premier League winner.Munich 1860-German champion,Cup winners' cup runners up.
Jovan Markovic Blackburn bought their glory, they are now at their 'natural level'. 1860 only reached hights in the 60's, but Bayern quickly took the status as best team in Munich that same decade
Also: Deportivo La Coruna, Grasshoppers Zurich, Sunderland, Hearts, Auxerre, Palermo, 1860 Munich.
If it weren't for clough football would be still like i was in the 70's
Chou plays...Chou cooks... You mean Brazil?
No he means the one and only, in the top one, Brian Clough! #greatest
Yes! Clough was flying high beating liverpool 2-0 to win the the champion league. and without Clough where are notts now. Pfff...the championship😔. Not the prem. A true legendary manager who will always be remembered in the history books
Phew, glad. They kept it brief on Forest! They could have filled a whole vid on 'whats gone wrong' since we dropped out of the premier league!!!!
+notts20uk still funny that derby failed harder at staying in the top6 than blackpool trying to be solvent.
To everyone saying Liverpool, Dortmund and AC Milan don't get the point, they're all competing in the top flight, Dortmund and Liverpool will be competing in the Europa League and AC Milan was close. All of these teams made great title pushes in less than 3 seasons ago and are nowhere near relegation. These teams went from European Cup/Champions League contenders to 3rd or 4th division teams. That's why I believe they should've had FC Kaiserslautern over Dresden.
You sir are smart
TheMantisShrimp Don't waste your time, they're trolls.
plus Borussia Dortmund is not a giant
TheMantisShrimp A fair point
samasima Buddy, you shouldn't define giant just off of money. If you would say Man City or PSG are giants and Dortmund aren't then you're dead wrong, Dortmund consistently performs at the same level in Europe as those two and have won plenty of titles domestically and in Europe, more than those two. You shouldn't define giant on the amount of corporate sponsorship, but on the quality of the side.
R.I.P Milan
Thank for greatness
In Sweden we have a team called Enköpings IS that has dropped one tier every season and from being in the highest division now can be found in division 4 (the sixth tier of Swedish football).
New York Cosmos - a giant???? Only because Pele has player for the team? I am not agree. And for me number 8 or 9 must be CSKA Sofia. 31 time Bulgarian champions (record), 19 times national cup holder, 2 times European Cup semifinals, one time Cup Winners' Cup semifinal. The former team of Hristo Stoichkov, Dimitar Berbatov and Stiliyan Petrov. Now the club will play in third division in Bulgaria because debts - over 12 milion euros
The same thing that's happening to Parma happened to Napoli in 2004 and they are doing pretty well now.
Ipswich Town surely? Uefa cup, Fa cup, division winners of 3, 2 and 1, Texako cup, the fact Sir Bobby Robson managed them so well, deserves them to be in for a shout of fallen giant
+BarrasLB not giants, just a good run of success between 78-82
the NASL and the New York Cosmos are still in existence...
Jonathan Doyle not nasl it's MLS now
FifaKieran67 the NASL never was or is the MLS. it's a completely different league with completely different teams. look it up.
Liverpool's failure to invest in a new stadium is a big part of the reason for the feeling that they are no longer a major club. By the time they've moved into their upgraded stadium, Tottenham and West Ham will be playing in better ones.
Rapid Bucharest, in Romania league 2 now. 3 titles and a quarter final of UEFA in 2006, impressive for a romanian football club.
8 years later, Bolton 😢, we’ll be back.
FK Crvena Zvezda ,UCL winners in 1991.Now struggling with 50m euros debt.Won only one nacional league title in past 9 years...
Rising clubs: Southampton, Eibar, Bournemouth, Sassuolo, Napoli, Mainz, Hertha, Besiktas, Watford, Stoke, Gent
West Ham too
You can't just name some teams that are doing well recently and call them rising clubs
Sassuolo? They were in the Serie A for a brief moment and immediately dropped to Serie B.
VfB PHILIP
thats true
Matteo Bassini no they didn't there still up
My dad nearly signed for rangers 20 years ago
Im so sad for parma.. Buffon veron cannavaro chiesa crespo thuram.. Insane players in 90s
***** We completely agree!
301 views, 429 likes....legit, RUclips, well done
i'm surprised to not seeing milan and inter in the list
What about Stockport country who went from championship to conference North
Not sure if people are aware but... The NASL was re-founded a few years ago, maybe 5 or 6 years ago, teams like the New York cosmos and the tampa bay rowdies are back and playing in the same league, just like they had in the 70'S and 80's, check them out... Like so people can see
Luton Town?
Do a video about how clubs were nothing became successful for like a short period of time
Sheffield Wednesday guaranteed a playoff spot today so there is hope for a return
Maybe also Vicenza that won a Coppa Italia and played the 1998 european cup winners' semifinals against Chelsea.
Top 10 New Giants
Deportivo de la coruna???
I think Leeds should've been 2nd or 3rd since they were the best team in the world at one point
Taylor O and at what point was that 😂😂😂
The Milan clubs at the end of the 2000s, hopefully with the signings both clubs have made, they can bounce back this season
Exactly what I was thinking. I mean they could still be considered "giants" but like you said, they are no where as good as they were in the early to mid 2000s.
Rangers will rise again, i think.
Lol
aye two time the be spl champions for the 55 time
They're the favourites to be promoted back into the SPFL (the top league)
Ur club is dead yeooo
Hun bastards
What about Ipswich town?
Do rising small clubs such as Manchester City.
R.I.P Parma
To everyone saying Liverpool, yes, we're not what we used to be, but we haven't fallen down the leagues like Pompey
Ajax? :-(
Ryanmen2 Dafuq
The team that won the league 2 seasons ago
Ryanmen2 Yeah because become 4 times in a row champions isnt enough but i get your point
They only lost because of memphis. They will win again next year
How on earth are they a fallen giant. They're just hindered by playing in a shite LEAGUe easily one of the biggest and respected clubs in europe
I come from Portsmouth
Newcastle are looking close to be a fallen giants and also do a top 10 rising clubs if you have not all ready
Milan might be on the list soon :(
Could of talked about Real Oviedo
Deportivo La Courña
Hearing "Rio Ferdinand", "Jonathan Woodgate", and "stars" in the same sentence made me laugh to be honest
Rangers looks like we might return to the greatness we once were
Still Marching On Together...... MOT
I'm predicting Leeds, both Milan teams and Aston villa are here
I would prefer bigger teams that are falling right now instead of these clubs that no one knows. Newcastle, Dortmund, Liverpool, AC Milan... Several "big" teams that are currently on a serious downfall. Now that would be interesting to hear about :)
Guys do the top 10 teams with worst results in a league, such as Derby County in 2007-2008 with 11 points
I was gonna say Alexandre pato as a fallen player but I still have hope for him seeing as he is my favorite footballer!
League 2 or Premier League, dosen't matter. POMPEY will never die
It's creepy to see how giant be forgoten forever
I would have to say Deportivo la Coruña they had an amazing team in the early 2000's
please add Chelsea to that list too
Should be called Top 10 English Fallen Giants
Pro Vercelli? In the early 20th century they won 7 Italian Championships. They got re-founded in 2010 and currently struggle in Serie B (16th place 2014-2015).
liverpool
Xamax Neuchatel from switzerland is missing
Red Star should be in this list search there story Red star footballs greatest teams
liverpool next
Im 17 and the first scottish team that comes to mind is rangers cause it was the only scottish team in the panini stickers in greece :P
what about RED STAR Belgrade?
Rangers made me smile I'm a celtic fan
As far as Rangers go it was Scotland's 4th Tier they joined and they are close to a return to grace
For the next FDW, do you think cristiano ronaldo will go to Man united again?
Why are people mentioning Milan? Sure, we've had a bad time, but we just invested over 50,000,000 euros in the transfer market this year. Wait a couple of years and I assure Milan will be back to the top.
I hope they do I miss milan :(
Smokie Fifa We just have to make the right investments and need a few tweaks in the management and we should be fine.
Red star
Steuaua
KV Mechelen where I send all my players who don't have a work permit in fm
Polish Widzew Łódź, the last Polish club in CL, now doesn't exist
Soon for wigan
