In 2003 the Vajpayee govt. recognized that the Tibet Autonomous Region is part of the People's Republic of China. It was a blunderous decision that diluted the Tibetan independence cause once for all.
India have lots of opportunities and points to prove that Tibet was never part of China. It is time India should be brave enough to face the China face to face. General sir, I grew up in Nehru’s era. I witnessed those so called phoney slogans Hindi - cheene bhai bhai . Then came debacle of 1962. I learnt mostly from our newspapers and other literature that time in memorial India didn’t have any direct border with China . It was a big error on part of our government of the day that misunderstood the sinister motives of China. The time is coming when whole nation will have to get together and our planners in south block and establishment will have to evaluate again our Tibet policy and work towards an independent Tibet. If Tibet be shown as separate, out of China it will be nice to combat the accession of Tibet & the claim Arunachal pradesh.
