Oh how I wish I was 11 years old again the best Christmas gift I ever got was a 1985 GT Performer
Lucky,i never got a bike from my parents and my grandfather got me some kent or something 20 inch when i was 7 or 8,then after that it was handouts and i traded toys and nes games for a 87 beat up gt performer and traded for a 87 dyno d-tour that got stolen.
I just got off my 86 world tour… took it around the block when it’s nice an dark out.. while just riding it I somehow came to the realization that it’s my most comfortable 20in bike to actually cruise on at 6’4” .. I don’t ride it much and just never realized how perfect it fits.. yours is amazing!!!

GT had the sickest colors!! We used to go to Albe's in Warren Michigan, and they had a bunch of colors frame and fork sets!

Sick bike!👍 GT must have been smoking crack when they devised that lower Gyro cable routing path. Running the cable along the bottom of the down tube will have almost zero cable bend and the brakes will work best.
You wuld think that by the looks of it but no they work fine. They just have a little more resistance but if you tighten the 990 springs a bit more they feel great. No complaint here and im ocd and picky with my how my brakes work.

This video is very old,its dayglo pink now with a front nippon and 87 990 brake plus tech 7 levers and engraved white gt epoch. Also sr stamped gt mallet which i didnt have in this vodeo also. Check out my more recent videos you'll see.
