I have the set myself, just waiting on my final constructicon to arrive, and I have to say videos and pictures just don't do this monster justice. In hand this thing is a sight to behold. And yes, if anyone is interested in getting it then you should absolutely know going in that this thing is basically a glorified statue (the combined figure that is). Devastator does have articulation, but this is a VERY big, VERY heavy, VERY expensive third-party figure -- you aren't going to want to be handling the combined figure all that much. That said, this is a statue/display piece that is somehow made of 8 individually transformable figures. Each one just as detailed as the combined figure and all amazingly articulated in their own right. I don't mind the combined figure being a display piece knowing that it is a display that can be taken apart whenever I want and enjoyed in all kinds of ways.

buddy u got that right and u think u pay that much for something it wouldn't break so fast people said about hasbro one is poorly made my hasbro one didn't break i know some one who brought the devil saviour mix master and overload and there long haul and skipjack and that have them any more cause that broke and that told trouble maker that want there money back and that got it and that had the guts to ask them would that want the new one if all them one's i listed broken i wouldn't want no more from them

Its cool but considering joint weakening, id rather a super accurate but completely static combined mode. Actual transformers that combine into a devastator statue is still cool
Honestly love this set. I'm leaning towards getting a second landslip as I'm really enjoying the figure as an individual (like I got a second sweeping to make into Rampage). My favorites as individuals are sweeping, landslip and smash. I also like bomber/paranoider but don't mind having them as an arm.
It’s weird how In robot mode, all the constructions scale well with the mpm figures. But in devastator combining mode, in the movie, they are supposed to be bigger, but for the figures, they are far too small for the mpm figures. I guess it is because the CGI cheats in transformers movies in transformations. Either way, thanks for the review and it’s very well detailed of a figure. This is definitely the definitive version of devastator. I can’t imagine how long it took for you to transform all the figures. Great review! :D
I'm working on Mechanical Alliance's devastator, got two figures in hand, 3 in transit, waiting on 3 more to be revealed. I believe it'll be a bit taller than devil saviour's. Emgo has been doing comparisons with there figures so he's gonna do a comparison of all 3 devastators 🤩
On my first attempt to build Devastator when I got skipjack, I snapped both legs off. Adding the new hip joints I made them looser so now they don’t have to painfully click each time I move them so I have no fear in breaking him 👍
People keep going around using head canon instead of confirmed canon, Because, by the day Trans Theories came in 2017, His theories had head canon, and his Theories made people stupid like a disease and they began to use fan interpretation instead of confirmed canon! They shouldn’t have done that!

This is such a awesome combiner, I was hoping for SS comparison but nonetheless, one of the best movie devastator figure ever, this would be an amazing collectable next to the ROTF cast
I think they could of done better with the shape of the back and I wish the legs were a little longer and the neck area could be been connected better. The arms are faultless as well is the head. Overall great review.
Great details and paint. I’m happy with the studio series one with upgrades. That one is hard enough to transform. This thing really is just a mess of robot and vehicle parts and I love it. Can we please get a Studio Series Skids and Mudflap?
Really hard to believe that it’s finally complete. Definitely worth the long wait. No plans to get this one, since I’m not financially well to get all members, as well as not being masochistic enough to deal with those transformations.

Mixmaster has been devastating to the prospect of converting everyone back. The mere thought of his transformation is more dreadful than all the others _combined._
Wish they added the grappling hooks, a more accurate scrapper turret and a 4th finger for studio series scrapper, a 4th finger for hightower and some ropes as a second upgrade kit, here's hoping dna designs makes a second devastator upgrade kit like that for the studio series release so we have a definitive version we can pose freely also they should do some arm extenders with cubertronian details on them as I don't feel the regular arms have enough posability or length as they could.

Thanks for the review. I didn't get in on this early on and regretted it. But even though it's visually stunning I really couldn't spend that sort of money on something where the leg just shears off. So good luck to you and anyone else who loves it. It's beautiful. But now I don't feel any regret.

We live in a greatest time as transformers fans. The movies started to respect the ip more, and the figure whther official or third party are looks better than ever.
I honestly prefer the SS version. Yeah it lacks complexity and articulation in place. But it feels way more solid and I think the head looks way better than Troublemaker’s
I'd love for you to do a video of how you got him in the crawling pose. I've been able to do it but he still looks a little off, and as you've described, it's not much fun manipulating him in this configuration.

am I the only one that things as far as standing up straight, the SS version looks way better? for the movie-accurate pose on 4-legs, of course there's no comparison for DS's Troublemaker. Also I expected it to be a good bit taller than SS Devastator...not, about 6 inches.
Tbh, I think the neck where it connects to the head looks a bit too lanky, and the hollow void when Devastator is on all fours under his neck stands out a bit too much. The proportions are also just a tad bit wonky, mainly with the head and legs. But still it doesn’t look half bad.
The first two released (Mixmaster and Scavenger) were much more rushed and weren’t as planned out as the others, that’s why we see Scrapper, Rustbucket, Hightower, Overload, Rampage, and Long Haul have more detail and are more focused.
YO Finally the greatest Bayformers set piece is complete Now I think the best way to circumvent the hip problem is to attach everything starting from the bottom Starting with Long Haul, Skipjack, and Overhaul Then Scavenger Then Scrap metal, Hightower, and Hightower Finally Mixmaster

I don't now why everyone screwsup with the components because in every single time they make it they have skip jack be the entire leg while he's only the foot and playload as the upper leg and bucket head is the hand and scrap metal is the shower of it

NGL, this looks just “okay.” I have buyers remorse from the SS version. Hopefully the Menasor is better quality and faithful to the reference material.
The random colorization always turns me off when it comes to this design. It would've been much better if the whole body is just yellow (like the arms) and the head being black. I mean, the black Mixmaster turning into a red head is always jarring to me. And why is Longhaul green? It makes one of Devastator's legs stand out like a sore thumb. It almost like they made a 5 year-old kid to do the coloring for the Big D 😒.
In my opinion, the bayformers devastator is better than the ss devastator because it looks so post apocalyptic-y that the mismatched colours work very well with each other. I do agree with you though - I dont understand why the head goes from black to red.
It's a shame because the combined mode is so awesome, but as a result I think the robot modes really suffer. If they had scrapped the robot modes the combiner could have been even more awesome. They could have implemented the gigantic head sucky transformation. In the movie we don't even see them transform into robots so I'm not sure why they bothered.
@@_V.Va_ nah the constructions who form devastator never transform into bot mode in the film. Like there was a red version of demolisher (scavenger) who formed devastators torso, and a red version of rampage (skipjack) who formed one of his legs. Demolisher died at the start of the film and rampage is fighting alongside the other constructions in the final battle at the same time that devastator is terrorising a pyramid. TLDR there were heaps of clones in the movie because the animators were lazy.

Demolisher died at the start of the film and rampage is fighting alongside the other constructions in the final battle at the same time that devastator is terrorising a pyramid. TLDR there were heaps of clones in the movie because the animators were lazy.
