All the Elven Kingdoms getting their units shown off meanwhile Cothique is like “…..We have boats…..”
Boats 🗿🗿
In their defense they do have Tyrion. Also Teclis but he's maybe more aligned with Saffery.
I mean, I would rather recruit archers from cothique than dragon princes from caledor. they wont take 3 turn to recruit and can actually dish out some damage even against armoured targets.
Tyrion is from technically from Nagarythe, but resides in Eataine. Sealord Aislinn is from Cothique
They are very nice boats, mind you.
High elves have such a good mix of missiles, infantry, cavalry, monsters, and artillery. No wonder they are a recommended starter faction.
eh, give me a hochlander with a long-rifle over an elf militia archer anyday.
Listen not to his lies, brothers. Only by basking in the glory of bloody melee will KHOR--- I mean, Khaine, smile down upon you and bless your sword's mark.
High elves range units does well against opponents without much armor. But against heavy armor or tough foes it's usually up to their infantry and mage to carry the day. Their cavaliers had seen the up and downs but never was the center focus of any army unless companied with monsters.
Sorry but greenskins are better for new players. Just throw endless numbers and you'll will. I'm still not good with high elves
@@simpleman3898 same just hire 19 archers you'll win 😂
I just finished a High Elf campaign in TWW3, I selected Imrik and decided to return to Ulthuan to take control of the war effort. Very fun campaign on VH, coasts constantly harrased while trying to subjugate the other Elven pronvinces. Then the challenges of launching long distance invasions into unfavorable terrain, establishing puppet kingdoms and forcing chaos back into the wasts. Good stuff, especially from dragon-back.
High elves with all end game events turned on is so much fun, the whole world falling apart and you’re just trying to survive on your island while being attacked from all sides
I really love the High Elves. I collected them on TT. I also love bows and stuff. But, they are literally the race most in need of a rework in TWW. They are strong in campaign, not denying that. But - they literally have NO mechanics. Name me a race, even Norsca, without a Race mechanic.
I'm hoping that since Karl and the Empire got an update, CA will see that "beginner" factions like the High Elves can still have mechanics that make them playable and still noob friendly. Now, Imrick is fun and so is Eltharion - but I really want people to look at the RACE. Tyrion and Teclis have nothing, Allariel has nothing of note.
@@borgCube100you should check out the pheonix court mod
In my last Karl Franz campaign the entire donut is controlled by Slaanesh-related factions and zombie pirates.
That was my first season. Imrik.
Feels like the High Elves are the faction with the most variety in regards to both, traditional warfare, and magic and fantastical beasts.
Nice to see another video by the Wizards and Warriors crew.
Another fantastic Warhammer Fantasy video and it's making me want to start another High Elf campaign in Warhammer 3 😁👍
I like the documentry. Maybe for the next one, do the Chaos army.
This was awesome! It was cool seeing how the game came from the lore. Thanks for putting this together; it's nice to see some stuff on the Order Time, rather than the Evil Tide. :)
I love how eagle claw bolt thrower look old school compare to artillery other race field. Yet in actuality it is literally magical rail gun.
Like how the wizards in harry potter are, bunch of cheaters, them putting magic on a junk car instantly turns it faster than any vehicle and it can even fly. magic=cheating. Elves can literally just use what most humans would consider as primtive tech, then just apply magic on it and itd be usable again
This so makes me want to play Total war warhammer 2 main campaign again!! loved it
Have you heard of the High Elves?
Loving this doc! Really well done and researched! I do wish CA had better, or ANY mechanics for the High Elves because their diversity and magical/martial prowess needs to be seen.
Great work in these videos!
Coin flip whether this is for Warhammer or Elder Scrolls.
Absolutely love the artwork, well told history too. But seriously, you could sell that artwork.
Do the Empire or the Tomb Kings next! Great video, appreciate your work!
Thank you for the video! It has high production value!
"The Asur armies require a second baggage train just to carry their overwhelming egos"
Wood Elves next please 🙏
Excellent video! Indeed the Asur are a superior faction. When I started with TWW3 I started with high elves. Imrik. He's the best! I am currently purging the forces of evil as Tyrion. They are a well-organized force.
Could you answer my question? Why did you have the dragons displayed as wyverns in a scene of your video where that is an incorrect portrayal?
I would be very interested in what order do u guys make the ones further. Do u do it from oldest to youngest? Like:
Lizardmen
High elves
Dwarfs
Dark elves
Wood elves
Cathay
...
Terrific video! Elves of WH are fascinating!
If the High Elves had actually worked together more with the Empire, i dont see a way how arachon could invaded and defeat them in the End Times. Imagine an Army, With Dwarven Infantry (Which already cooperated with the Empire), Elven Archers and Elven Chariots supported by Empire Demigryph Knights and Hellstorm Rocket Batteries with Elven and Human Wizards as well as Dwarven Runesmiths supporting the Troops. Whilste 2 High Elven Dragons fly around the Army, burning all in their way. This army could litterally not be stopped. No matter how many creatures Archaon can send against them.
They do work with the Empire often it's just those Asur that Volunteer their aid they can't afford to send huge armies because they are constantly Attacked by Chaos warbands, Norscans and Druchii
Aos MUST happen. Gw dictates it must be so, so it will happen even if all factions ally against archaon.
While you’re correct in theory, keep in mind that Chaos ascendant ALWAYS coincides with a major Druchii incursion of Ulthuan preventing the Asur from being involved with any other world events until the climax, and then only a token. In End Times they were riven by Khaine ascendant and the massive civil war/embodiments of Khaine and Asuryan fighting for supremacy
Skip the empire - the Dwarfs + High elfs together would be WAY scarier. Seeing as Dward artillery > Empire, Dwarf melee units > Empire, High elf wizards > Empire. The empire arent really bringing anything but bodies and would be outclassed be either the dwarfs or the high elfs
@@Soulwhistle but hellstorm rocket batteries are crazy op
I like these fantasy races and factions profiles that add deeper insight for new viewers. Yet there is still more for anyone who wants to delve a bit deeper, especially the stories of the hero characters.
While I always recommend something from anime/manga, I hope the Thrawn campaign hasn't been forgotten. 😟
found this channel for the Fallout lore, stayed for the warhammer fantasy lore. looking forward to it.
Love the video on one of my favorite factions!
Seeing such a good video about Ulthuan, you can't help but get angry again over how dirty GW did by the Fantasy Universe and ending it in such a lame way.
I don't mean to rain on AoS, I find its crazy lore fun to read, but I would have liked a better thought end for the Fantasy universe. Heck, even make it an alternate reality and revive it! LOL!
Do you guys plan to cover age of sigmar and 40k as well? It would be great if you guys do. More lore
I hope the Dwarfs are next, as they are one of my favorite races in Warhammer.
Amazing art!! Very good looking
3:20 Slight correction here. Eataine is the name of the Kingdom, but Lothern is the name of the city. In fact, Lothern isn't just the largest city in Eataine, but the largest city in all of Ulthuan (at least in the current era.)
"...was formed in the largest city OF eataine" work on your listening comprehension
Love your warhammer videos
Having a hard time fighting late game Lizardmen with High Elves in TW Warhammer2, any tips here?
Dragons, Sisters, max 2 Reaver archers for mischief and Silverin Guard (can't remember if they're only in TW3 - otherwise see if there are mods for it...).
A caster lord, and 19 Sisters of Avelorn. Start battle, prepare dinner, return to victory screen.
"Because I'm Batman!
- Alith Anar, Shadow King of Nagarythe
The Empire videos for lore and their armies should be an hour long. Please.
They are amazing! My favorite! Asur!
I hope you do Dark Elves next, then Wood Elves before moving on to another race.
Love your content guys! More alt history please ❤❤❤❤
A video about the elves before the dwarfs?
Did you mean that goes into the book...?
@@marcbartuschka6372 Yes, Marc, it's going in the book.
Theyre doing it in order of height, im pretty sure.
Another elvin scheme
seriously this is really great stuff
Awesome work, now do one for wood elves.
Can you do this for Game of Thrones for each region?
Truly a power house, but there isn't anything more depraved then seeing a lowly creature fell a frail elf.
Our is a world of fading glory but glory nonetheless.
Meanwhile over in Naggarond: "DREADSPEARS!"
dawi next!!
The first army I ever played and the first Army book I ever bought. Warhammer for me started with the High Elves.
We will there be another 40k video?
Hells yeah High Elves!!!
Get yourself a couple bolt throwers and a dragon for your general??? Nothing can stop you.
Never lost a battle after the citizen levy rule came in.
Fun fact, the Elves in my campaign basically made some bad alliances and got dragged into Fantasy WW3 against me (Elspeth) and pretty much every dwarf and Kislev faction. I was playing nice with the FILTHY Frog-men of the south (Bretonnia) and all was good for a while. They had made a strong central/southern alliance with the High Elves, the Cult of Sigmar and the dollar-store Bretonnians, the Chevaliers de Lyonesse.
Unfortunately, somewhere along the line I must have done SOMETHING to piss off the Chevies because my approval with them plummeted, they broke off our non-aggression pact and soon declared war. IMMEDIATELY Bretonnia goes to bat for them but luckily for me, artillery and gunpowder beats peasants and horses any day of the week. This starts a chain reaction with all of the High Elves and CoS following suit and declaring war on me. I launched a full-scale invasion of the south, quickly conquering all of Bretonnia just in time to meet the Elvish ships landing on my freshly taken settlements on the coast. I retaliated and pushed them back to their little donut and began my campaign to beat these fairy-godmother-looking idiots into submission.
Credit where it's due, even though it was a one-sided slaughter, the elves WOULD. NOT. SUBMIT. They never once tried to sue for peace. Even after 1/3 of their alliance was consumed by my Empire, even after every bite I took of their donut, they could not be bought or reasoned with.
Seriously misguided sense of loyalty. The bastards who started the war never once tried to relieve them and have burrowed themselves as far south as they can get. The only real resistance I'm getting is from the CoS who have started pushing towards my occupying forces in greater and greater numbers while I try to get reinforcements back from the giant toilet seat in the ocean that's running slick with elf-blood.
You should do the video about The Great War in Elder Scrolls
Games workshop: "Yeah here's the high elves. They've got magic and monsters and a thousand years of training on average. Anyway, lore-wise they were overcome in about a month by the skaven because this setting wasn't making as much money as 40k and we got bored with it."
Loved this!
Ah, I will look forward to hearing about the Ogres.
Do Dark Elves Army next...
My favorite faction with Malekith and mommy Morathi...
The art is sooo good
Looking forward to the other factions
Shocking to think Games Workshop ditched all of this.
They ditched it, regrets about it, pick it up and ditched it again.
Just in time for mother's day :D
For Tyrion, if the heart of avelorn is broken to revive him, the love of the Everqueen for him would vanish forever. A price to pay.
Dwarf Next❤
Please do dwarven armies next.🙏🏿
Do the empire next. You have his consent.
Do the wood elves next please
Please more horus heresy soon!
Can't wait for dawi!
what is it with elves/aelderi and the absurdly tall hats
Well that is more a general Warhammer thing, they tend to enlarge a lot of things... often until they become ridiculos.
Wait until you see Dawi'Zharr hats (Infernal Guard excepted - they're shamed and evidently don't deserve hats that double their height...)
How come the mistwalkers were not mentioned?
Ah exquisite didn't knew that end game series was finished😂
hello! make a video about warhammer dwarves please
feels like most High Elf armies were complete without the legendary Pokemon : )
Gimme beasts of chaos lore
How would one get ascess to those pictures you are showing?
What are these Elves "High" on ?
Hail the Shadow King!
More!
Why are they called high elves? They should be called giant doughnut elves
Technically it's closer to an omega sign. Donuts are a full circle.
Lol, but seriously nvr get that joke, they have the best continent to live on, it's geography make it like a natural fortress, the mountains circling is a natural wall whose only entrance is in lothern and the gate fortress. It has a natural moat since its centered in the ocean. Lol it's like the continent was specifically made to protect the vortex
@@karlfranz5229 I wouldn't want to live near the mountains or coast though
dark elves next
Me with an army of conscript and gunpowder weapon. Show them the might of man! For sigmarrrrrrr!
Fun fact. Elves didn’t have nobility or military before the Great Catastrophy. And just as Aenarion was the first Phoenix king, the warriors in his army became the very first nobles of elven race
Very historical. Army mean strength, strength mean power. No war mean no need for a strong caste of warrior, which the nobility is the basis of.
Empire next
dam i would shit brick if i ride a sky chariot, how in the hell an elf can shot an arrow accurately from there?
still lost the war of the beard. ROCK AND STONE!!!!!!!
More warhammer!
All these great units and awesomely powerful characters...and then the End Times writers came along and threw it all out the window.
where edlarya?
The Dragon Princes are the noblest and proudest Asur knights of Caledor.
meanwhile in total war warhammer: armour piercing- 0.
No armor piercing tho
WOW BRUH!
My favorite WFB army
I wish more fantasy High Elves are like these, instead of the pathetic 3rd Age Elves of Lord of the Ring.
So that was the dumb flying unit Mandalore was talking about
It is just Warhammer and not Warhammer Fantasy!
Throwback to when I played High-Elves in TW Warhammer 2 and had finally united Ulthuan and recruited all the HE legendary lords as my generals
The Asur are amazing I have 1200 hours played with just High elves between TWW2 and 3
Pff. This is another Elgi scheme!!
+++
Man, back in the day, these clowns were so overpowered that it was just ridiculous. I don't lnow if ya'll were around for 2nd edition, but it was just dumb.
The glorious *Master Race* of the Old World.
So, they're like fantasy world Jews?
@@Emanon... there is no IRL master race lol
(Except PC Master Race or course)
They're the best faction in the Total war game
