I’ve written on my channel why we shouldn’t compare trans identities with anorexic identities.
The analogy trans people make is it’s the equivalent of supporting an anorexic to get healthy. They see the birth gender as equivalent to having anorexia. I know because that’s what I saw when I was trans and most other trans people agreed with me.

On the matter of Anime: Most anime is FAR from androgynous and is instead rather hyper-sexualized....especially when it comes to women and girls. Most anime portray females as some sort of woman/child hybrid with the hyper accentuated anatomy of a fertile woman (unrealistically outsized breasts, wasp-like waist, outsized buttocks etc.) but then combines these with the doe eyes, vocal patterns, and general demeanor of of a submissive pre-adolescent girl. They are in other words, the perfect cross between a pre-pubescent "child" who is demur, dependent, and sexually vulnerable.....while simultaneously being anatomically exaggerated, sexually mature, and therefore sexually available.
Hence it comes as ZERO surprise to me hear that Anime is "big" in the trans community. It's exactly the sort of attraction you'd expect from any man with an unhealthy and dysfunctional conception of "women" or a male with autogynephilic leanings....or both.

thank you - I do think young girls wanting to be trans men are influenced by bishonen (pretty boy) male characters and yaoi manga, where men are portrayed as looking very beautiful, almost feminine, and there's usually a very young looking adult male character paired up with a much larger masculine but still very beautiful man.

    • @janeking9540
      @janeking9540 Год назад +7

Yes, sex stereotypes have become so polarised in this era. Everything about being female seems manufactured. If you want to be attractive, you have to pump up your lips, breasts and buttocks artificially through so called beauty treatments and surgery, which has become completely normalised. Wear an absolute tonne of makeup, ridiculously uncomfortable and vertiginous shoes, and colour and extend your hair, oh yes and constantly have long painted acrylic nails. Men are under pressure to be muscular and buff, with trimmed body hair, but the pressure leads to generally less articiality for men. No wonder these images make so many young people question, 'I'm not that, what the hell am I'?

Great interview. A generation of overinvolved parenting has led to several phenomena that fuel the trans movement:
*Kids have lower distress tolerance than ever. They react to negative emotional experience as though the environment, rather than themselves, needs to change.
*They've always had a seat at the table, for deciding everything with the adults. So their experience is that adults must listen and validate everything they think and feel.
*They've been taught that feelings are always right.
*They've been over-pathologized and taught to identify with their pathologies.

Sometimes it's like this, but often not. Data from the Tavistock gender clinic showed how over-represented kids from foster homes are. Also kids with a parent who had committed r* or SA. This points to a group who attach to this identity because of trauma.
Also over-represented are autistic and same-s* attracted kids. If it was a generational problem owing to parenting, we wouldn't see these patterns.
I'm not saying your explanation doesn't apply to some of this cohort, but I think you're being too "broad brush" with your statements.

I am an old gay male who came out of the closet in the 1980's. These are my thoughts:
    1. A child whose brain is not developed enough to be considered competent to drink alcohol, smoke, drive, or vote is not miraculously competent enough to validly claim to be the opposite gender inside.
    2. There is no single definition of maleness or femaleness "inside," because each person is unique.
    3. NOBODY knows what it "feels like" to be someone else inside.
    4. All a child knows is what he/she likes and to whom he/she is attracted.
    5. The definition of maleness and femaleness in society is created BY society; it is a primitive man-made cultural role assignment, not an intrinsic quality.
    6. Kids would never have the idea that they are something else inside, or that their bodies were wrong, if it were not for that thought being planted by adults.
    7. The drug industry and medical professionals stand to make a lot of money over the years from convincing children to have the ultimate "plastic surgery" performed. This is the ultimate in medical enslavement.
    8. A lot of parents, teachers, and media personalities are idiots.

You are correct. There's also the pervasive element of virtue signalling. Many people will see someone who identifies as trans as "oppressed," always right, and in need of over protection. @@386jimboyYes!!! Unfortunately what is starting to occur as of lately is an alignment of formally liberal/progressive-identified gay men bonding with right wingers and appearing on Fox News, and other right wing TV shows to debate this issue when in reality, it’s the right wingers who don’t care for LGBTQ right in the first place. The same happened with radical feminists back in the 80s when they got into bed with the religious right to ban pornography. We progressives who feel strongly that kids should be allowed to identify or behave in gender nonconformity without having to resort to hormones or anything drastic (until they are mature) have to be very careful about aligning with the Right on this issue because there is a difference in objectives; the right would like to erase LGBTQ people off the map with conversion therapy whereas us gay folks are concerned about the erasure of LGBTQ people by convincing butch lesbians that they are “trans men” and feminine gay men that they are better off becoming “straight women”.

For a smart guy, Jonathan can be pretty idiotic from time to time. As when, at 23:35, he expresses his fear of a conservative backlash that might deprive children of ALL trans interventions, even to those children who "maybe" could benefit from them. (How naive can you be?!) As though you're ever helping a kid by agreeing that, yes, they ought to change sex.
Even worse was 32:41, where he rejects the use of the accusation of "being a groomer" (directed against people who are pushing gender ideology) on the basis that this suggests it's all about sex--when, actually, so many of these children are "fleeing sex." This interpretation gets it exactly backwards. People who speak about "grooming" are not suggesting that it's about sex FOR THE CONFUSED CHILD; they are pointing the finger at those who push the ideology. For, among that population, there are clearly predators, who are taking advantage of the child's confusion; taking advantage of their alienation from their parents; taking advantage of the intimate subject matter under discussion--to insinuate themselves, on intimate terms and in secrecy. That's grooming, Jonathan!

I never once read or heard of anyone telling anyone else that "they were actually a boy or girl." There are nefarious sources pushing this. Being T (or NB, or whatever) is completely in your head...no actual physical proofs...most of the time there are no actual consequences (except some cosmetic interventions) and we are just supposed to believe a T person just because he sais so...

I would also posit that it is an analog to the LACK of control one has over the happenings of the real world vs the control one has over an avatar in the VR/gaming world. It's no stretch to hypothesize that people want some kind of control over their own lives, and by assuming the appearance/actions of characters in their video games over which they have complete control (and social connection as well), they no longer have to live in two separate worlds. Between bringing their virtual world to life and claiming identities that do not correlate with what the real world has to offer, control of oneself AND others is entirely possible despite the chaos happening in society with the economy and other world affairs.
I'm happy to be wrong, but it's certainly been a prevailing thought over the past several years as this issue has become more prevalent.

At approximately the 24 minute mark, when a speaker described things in Canada, and how some 80% of the population supposedly expresses extreme concern over struggles with schoolboards, teachers, governmental controls etc., - in order that families are not under attack and that parents can reassert control over the fate of their own children...
and it was expressed that perhaps a backlash was coming in response to adverse affects possibly damaging a community of alphabet people (LGBT queer and god knows what else.)
    I say are you crazy?
    We need to protect children.
    We need to protect families.
We need to get back on track with real education so that perhaps 80 or 90% of the "marginalized" families don't have to sacrifice their children to an educational industry meltdown that causes extreme non-education.
We need to get back on track with normativity, reality and Natural Law, and ordinary everyday decent people being able to conduct their affairs knowing that they can simply tell the truth and not be tyrannized by outright lies.
These are extreme and serious issues in any society that attempts to cater to the belief it is free and democratic.
And we're supposed to, with all this on the line, worry about a real population of less than 10% of the total? (I'm not talking about the completely artificially manufactured inflated imaginary fantasized garbage numbers we're media spoon fed.)
Again, back to the backlash causing adverse...
Do we think that the "adverse affects" on families victimized by woke garbage have not been extreme? The oppression from a tyranny many feel powerless to fight back against?
That the damage to innocent children is just something trite, lite and hardly worth worrying about?
(A gender non-conforming child is "damaged." There are 45 of them (naturally) in a school of 1200. We're going to throw the other 1155 of them under the bus, just to be fair.)
    This is insanity.

anime is not so innocent. it has a lot of sexual themes and transgender/non binary characters abound.

Yeah, I think Millennials and under know this, but older generations are really really innocent about anime. Males who watch anime are consuming Hentai alongside it (plus whatever other pa /wn they watch), while females who consume anime are often reading/writing very explicit "yaoi" (explicit stories featuring 2 male characters from the anime).
Of the 2 things, the hentai is the more damaging imo. It's incredibly graphic and in almost every case is "noncon" and features violence. "Tentacle pa /wn" is a massive thing in hentai.
Parents should be aware of this. Obviously not EVERY fan of anime is doing this, but tbh if your a teenage boy into anime, it's very very likely.

Many detrainitioners come to terms with the fact they are simply gay. If society wasn't still so homophobic, perhaps these kids would find their place and not feel the need to conform to a hetero stereotype, ie, A boy thinking, 'I feel feminine, I'm attracted to boys, I must be a girl', rather than accepting they are same sex attracted. The same principle applies to more masculine girls. Acceptance of same sex attraction would go a long way in creating a supportive environment for kids who happen to be gay not trans and who do not conform to hetero normative presentation.

Most people don't care about being gay anymore, it's widely accepted at this point. Where I draw the line is the outrageous inappropriate behavior in that community that really needs to stop ASAP, because it's causing people like me (who never had any issues with them before) to retract my support for them.
Between the inappropriate behavior, the trans issue causing the destruction we're seeing, and the totalitarian nature of the "community" overall, I have completely turned hostile towards the entire group at this point.....
This "community" needs to stay in their own little corner and stop imposing themselves on the rest of society because they're only creating a growing resentment towards them.....

@@rclaws3230 The problem is that gay spaces are homophobic now. Everything is captured by intersectional progressives so for a normal gay person its either just stay home and try your luck finding someone who is also gay but not an activist or join them.
Most of society is either indifferent to gay people or has gone way above and beyond fetishizing them. You can't be just gay anymore thanks to far left politics.

This is a variation on the very naive “it only happens to bad people” argument. At this point it has happened to plenty of very engaged, involved parents with good values and good parenting instincts. They get blindsided by a trans declaration and then try to figure out what the hell happened only to realize that their kid got swept up in something despite a solid foundation. And then they have to fight for their child’s future against the state and condescending parents on both sides of the issue. What a nightmare.

Stop forcing this down the majority of people's necks. There were no trans kids once, as they hadn't heard of the concept ! Once they'd reached adulthood, they were then free to follow up on how they felt, without the ambiguity adolescence often brings. I wanted to be a boy when I was younger, but only because in my childhood, boys were allowed to get away with more than girls were & I was an out & out tomboy.

Yet if the kid is struggling with sexual identity those same parents who must be told about criminal activity, shouldnt be told about gender identity issues?
