Thanks. The video camera was one of the better ones available at the time, and luckily it doesn't lose too much quality transfering from video to DVD and then uploading to RUclips.
I agree with your remarks, that was a Glasgow bound I/C via WCML 50 to Plymouth 47 to Birmingham 86/87 Glasgow, some use to split for Edinburgh took that service when separated from my ship Faslane or Rosyth those were the days
Thanks Chris. Just made one from Leicester 1993 featuring 20's on passenger, 47831, 60's, and a huge variety of DMU classes - will be uploaded after i catch up with some current movie uploads.
Two class 50's at plymouth station, one says hello invincible, the other one says hello ark royal...they look over and there's an hst on the other platform, ark royal says hello hst what's your name, and the hst sheepishly replies, eerrmmm, top of the pops....lol

All that mixed coaching stock and the early unit design plus the 47's etc..OH THE NOSTALGIA...
Love your video from 1987.
I love how advanced the HST 125 looks compared to the other trains of the period, and its not like it was a new train by the late 80's either
Plymouth looks great in the 1980s
When they added extra coaches if a train was going to be busy! What a crazy idea

In the 70s i remember almost every long distance train from Cornwall had 3 or 4 extra coaches added at Plymouth

Great shots Darren
Thanks. Plenty of old footage to keep me going over the Winter(and longer!)in between modern uploads.
1987. That's more like it. Proper locos in proper colours. At least BR kept the weeds down.
Thanks Ian.
Thanks Hayden.
quite weird really, at 207 43002 top of the pops in intercity 123 livery is still running to this day and is still in br blue.
Robin Price I
This footage is older than me and I can see Plymouth hasn't changed a bit
You must be blind then because Plymouth has changed loads since 1987.
Brilliant keep going
Certainly a bit different now and all very uniform livery wise down there.
Cheers Sam, and i will do.
Very good :)
