    This is the best explanation of how to set up QuickJacks I have seen. Clearly shows what needs to be done with excellent detail in each step of the process. Now, if the courier will only deliver my new 7000TL today as promised!! Lloyd

    In Australia, our local supplier only has the 5000 and 7000. I enquired about a 6000 for my model S but the supplier has never had orders for them so they will not be in stock here. I will purchase the 7000 with the extension kit, even with this, the 7000 is 200mm too short so I will cut the ext units and add 200mm to each one and re-weld them back together, Good info and 369 liked.

    The Quickjacks are great if you're lucky and get one without a defective air cylinder. If you do get one of those you're screwed - the company will 100% not stand behind their product. They'll claim the air-assist down isn't "necessary to the function of the lift". Really? So if one side has air assist down and the other doesn't, and they drop unevenly, that's safe? And then when the car vehicle drops to the ground ground and one side of the lift goes straight to the full down position while the other... doesn't. You need to wait... and wait... and wait for it to drop with no weight on it. Quickjack will claim this "is normal operation" and that "it will get better over time". If you invest a massive amount of time trying to get them to stand behind their product they will, eventually, after burning through every once of customer goodwill, send out a new cylinder. Yay! Until you get the replacement and the freakin' air side is literally capped off. Like intentionally made unusable. That's not a fix guys. Then they'll claim that the engineers decided the down-assist wasn't necessary and that they've changed the design on future models. But I didn't buy a future model with less functionality. I bought the current model with exactly the functionality I wanted, was promised, and paid for. Whatever. Too much time wasted on it already - I've written off the entire company as another skanky marketing hack with no integrity.

    Got mine from Home Depot. It didn’t come with the wall hangers (probably wouldn’t use anyway. Mine was leaking fluid, and the fittings were loose in the box, no wrap around up/down switch, no ties on cables or compressor cords. No instructions included, but plenty of RUclips videos to watch. Might have a previous return. Also doesn’t have those wheel like items (lifts?). I’m going to assemble this weekend.

    Save yourselves a shitload of aggravation. Throw that thread seal they provide right in the garbage and go straight to Teflon tape to seal fitting to hoses

  • @surma884
    @surma884 3 месяца назад

    You're not supposed to use the thread sealant on the elbow fitting. Not a big deal, but it's just what it says in the instructions. Also, the bleeding instructions say to first take jack up and down 3 times. Then open the screw to let the air out.

    It's great to see the 7000 series can fit under a miata. Any issues at all? I want one of these bad for my LS swapped miata because the T56 is gigantic and getting the car high enough off the ground to swap the clutch is a nightmare on jack stands. I also want to lift my Tacoma and my girl's jeep. Thanks for the video, Brad. Subscribed.

    • @bradscarmods
      @bradscarmods  Год назад +2

      No issues at all. I also ended up buying their pinch weld rubber blocks and it all works and fits great! Just measure from the ground to the bottom of your pinch weld and if it’s at least 3.5” you’re golden.
      Thanks!

    Hows it work for the Tundra?
    I have a 2017 platinum, but also have an IS500, abd want something to work with both. Also, is this the tlx version or the tl?
    Im looking at the 7000tlx, since the tundra is a crew cab. And lexus is a 4dr, so figured longer is better. Don't really want a 2 post in the way at home when not using. Great video too man.

      Thank you for the reply! I'll keep an eye out for the Tundra vid man. Just figured the tlx might be better suited since i really don't have any short wheelbase cars. @protectandswerve just to be very clear, as the title states, it’s the TL bundle, not LT and it came with all the extra stuff because it was a “bundle” from Costco. If you just get the TL from QuickJack it doesn’t come with all those things. You can add them on a make a bundle yourself.
