But 16 is the age most people get their first car here due to the rural farm culture we had where kids were driving for years already by that point and the law just allowed them to get the long distances to schools etc.
16 year old me would have been proud to do it. in fact i would aim to be pull over just to have the story to tell. 32 year old me might still be up for it too.

One Lap is pretty much the most difficult amateur motorsport event you can compete in. I did it in 2013 and it was absolytely exhausting. But not as exhausting as it was in the early 2000's when the drive distance was twice as long! It's run by Brock Yates Jr, the famous Yates' son (who rules)
oh god the cars that were cool when I was in high school is sort of embarassing now, looking at the old yearbooks of people and their cars is just like eww. I daily drive a challenger for my around town car. Its not anything special but it is a fast car and will get you into trouble even if its not a top end model.
@@thearousedeunuch thats where the dmv and court fees come from. If you can't convince the court to reduce the ticket (which they almost always let you do because it moves the funds from the state to the local municipality) then the dmv might charge you for having those points.
