As usual, a great looking build. Thank you. Really like the final weathering effects. If you’re not aware of the following, maybe worth checking out. boomer diorama painting scenic details HO scale Hi Rail Excavator/River Road Vlog #81. Thanks again
IIRRC Matchbox produced some models of plant that may be found secondhand, scale very loosely OO/HO. It's a great shame that other manufacturers have never seen fit to focus on plant.
Back on form now with the videos, good man! For a truly textured finish, apply some Hunbrol Matt cote first, then when it's about half way dry, work the powders into it, blend it like that and you end up with some excellent results. Cheers!
Once again your at it with a brill how to!....not a long winded how to open the packet and 20 mins talking about the spru! Finished wagon looks brill, weathering tips spot on...im about to paint a ukf fertiliser PWA in a other scale could you do a how to so i don't screw it up😮 iron mink on thingiverse do stl files for printing other engeners wagons...and the best part they are free to down load but thats the rabbit hole of 3d printing... Looking forward yo next project G
I know what you mean, unboxing videos that last 25 mins + WHAT!! That's one of the reasons I chose the short form I have. I've got a couple of Iron Minks vehicles that a friend printed off for me and they are getting close to their slot on the channel 😉 I've got a long list of projects to do and Lima fertiliser vans are on it. I'm about due for another Lima upgrade video, so might do those in the not too distant future?
I found cambrian kit instructions are a bit vague, unless you are either a very experienced in their kits and know the proper names of every part of a real wagon. I don't. I built the Sr brake van, but it was a struggle. Chivers finelines kits on the other hand were a delight to build.
Atlas Editions / Oxford Diecast do some decent 1:76 excavators - an eBay search will bring them all up. There is an 80’s JCB in there by Atlas as well, which might just suit.
I use H&A and Dart Castings depending on what other bits n bobs I require at the time. www.hamodels.net/wheels-bearings-back-to-back-gauges-reamer-cutting-tool/oo-em-p4-wheel-bearings.html www.dartcastings.co.uk/mjt/4010.php
How about putting your skills to the test by building a Cambrian Walrus wagon? I have one part built but am struggling to finish, due to poor instructions or perhaps my limited skills!
For your dozers, look towards Germany, can't remember which manufacturer, Noch, Kibri maybe, they're HO but being a biggish vehicle you can get away with it.
As a new convert, I like your approach regarding expense.
Full marks for realism and quality !

Evening Mr train man. Yet another fantastic video 👍🏻
A lot of effort, worth it , super job Nigel👏🏻
Super little programme, thank you. Next, Battle Space warwell, I spied up the siding? 👍👍👍👍
Always a pleasure to watch your kit building tutorials. It looks so much better than the RTR equivalent.
Thank you kind sir 👍

Same experience 👍
After you brush the weathering powder on, do you have do anything else to it stop rubbing off.
Yes I normally apply a pigment fixer (A.MIG-3000)
Can be applied by brush but I like to put through the airbrush, low pressure.
Langley models sell a fantastic 1.76 period Drott traxcavator but it is a sit down price !.Excellent video though i enjoyed it very much.
Have considered the Langley Droit. Its a bit ££££ though 😬
Does Cambrian Model Railway feature any couplers or wheels?
No, wheels and couplings to be sourced
@@WallsrailOkay thanks! How unfortunate😕.

What is the truck/bus thing at the end? Looks like a school bus and a Penske truck had a child…
It's a BR crew bus thing. Bedford Cab and chassis with a ??? body.
Think it was a Hattons exclusive via Oxford Diecast a few years back?
Only kits I know of are walthers or Kibri so will both be 1.87
Where do you get the wheel sets and bearings

Wallsrail Have you deleted my comment from a day and a half ago?
Not guilty
@@Wallsrail Could youtube have done it perhaps?
Once again, another very interesting watch. Thanks for posting.
