As a cook this is one of the best videos out there - no nonsense, no absurd items nobody uses. Every single one of these (I would add the Mango corer) are well worth the money.
OMG...I finally found this video again! I bought the butter grater from watching this video when it first launched but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to get the gadget to work (even asked to 3 people) so it just sat there on top of my fridge for EXACTLY 15 months! lol Thank you for all you do! Warm hello from France! ♥
1. Use that money you bought on the butter grater to instead but a container for your butter and leave it at room temp or buy spreadable butter. 2. colanders aren't just for pasta you can use them to wash and dry vegetables, or rinse canned goods. 3 you CAN eat the skin if it bothers you that much use a spoon, this gadget only works for kiwis. 4 not actually a bad idea but you probably don't need it for your whole coffee beans and the difference it makes is not a lot unless it is something that oxidizes fast like potatoes or avocado in which case put potatoes in water and the avocado in plastic wrap. 5. just cut the pineapple its not hard, the gadget doesn't get all the flesh and it only works for pineapples. 6. Glorified plastic wrap 7. cut off the top of the tomato and if you are concerned about wasting food eat the part around it. (you could use this for strawberries which is cool but you can also cut the tops off of those and eat around them, or just remove the leaves) 8. use a muffin tin it will give you infinite edges (lol) This was not meant to insult any of the products or be mean i'm simply giving information on how you can do these things without an insane amount of gadgets that will clutter up your kitchen. (except for #6 its cute but really? plastic wrap)
I think 4. is actually a bad idea. He said 'vacuum' but air stuck in bottle is not vacuum. The bottle already has enough air to oxidize until you open it tomorrow and fill it up with fresh air again.
Plastic wraps are horrible for the environment. Those “glorified” ones in the video are reusable which is so much better money-wise and environmental-wise. I think they are great for if you want to cover a bowl or something but those Tupperwares already have lids. The rest are useless tho.
Right, what I meant by that is that if you really just cant find the lid then it is acceptable to use plastic wrap, you don't have to go out of your way to buy some weird squishy silicone thing that if we are being honest is just as susceptible to losing as the lids to the Tupperware. also I don't think it would be efficient on bowls either, plus you have to wash them and if you are really concerned about the environment Tupperware bowls are cheaper and do the same thing. Oh and one more thing 4:18 should be a meme.
petri nax umm the purpose is to have these and completely stop buying plastic wrap... because again, thy are literally the worst and are so unnecessary, so you would already have those and no plastic wrap at home and don’t have to “go out of your way” to do anything. Yes it’s efficient on bowls... “I don’t think it’s efficient...” well they are so I don’t know what you are talking about. And Tupperware is still plastic, admit not single use one. It’s better to have these to use with whatever ceramic bowls or glass container I already have and not buy any plastic stuff all together. And really these are so much more space efficient than buying like million Tupperwares that would clutter your drawer
You are trying to forget and get a little calmer. :) Try to relax. Take a deep breath, make a cup of tea and tell yourself - even if i fail - even than i will be OK. No matter whether i fail or succeed - even than, i will love and accept myself the way i am. It is the fear that makes learning hard. Good luck.
The storage with the vacuum lid is good for storing but the extra space on top will collect dust. Which means the dust will come in contact when the food when you open the lid.
Ah , its time for my nitpicking abilities to shine. 1) Butter too hard? why is it in the freezer in the first place? Also a butter knife is already enough to cut out the surface of the butter. And at the price point of 30$ you might as well buy an actual shredder for lower prices (maybe could be used on cheese instead) 2) A hand sieve is way better , unless you're too lazy to put the contents back in for later stages of cooking I guess....? 3) Use a freaking spoon 4) Actually useful, no complaints here 5) No complaints here 6) Kinda useful for when you lost the top on accident. On a side note, always put the top back on, its not that hard. Or just arrange them properly and not dump them in one spot 7) Only useful to people who cuts stuff like tomatoes in large quantities and or like to maintain the shape of the fruit 8) Only reason to buy it is when you don't like waiting for whatever you are cooking (more surface area = faster cooking), if there's already a functioning baking pan just use it unless the shape fancies your liking.
GamingJar the problem with your comment on #6 is that putting the lids back on will just take up a hell of a lot more space because you can no longer stack the containers inside of each other. You'd need at least three of those bins he had lids in to contain half of the containers he has lids for.
well I guess the chef guy person dude of this channel should organize his containers better then XD Also in my opinion I'd rather seal the container as risk losing space because I'd rather not allow any chances for any small critters that happen to be in there to step all over the containers
only thing i disagree on is 8 lol i think 8 exists cuz people like the corner bits of brownies and stuff. i think having metal strips or smth to divide pans you already have would be more useful and less space-consuming tho
GamingJar You're the real deal man. Pleade start a review channel, we need a real, no bullshit kind of person to start a reviewing channel. I'll be ypur first follower.
You're awesome dude, love the fact that you take time out of your day to show us all these gadgets, I need them! I would have never thougth to get a butter grater myself..
I use the sharp tip of a standard peeler to core my tomatoes. Works perfectly well, no need for a mono-use gadget. A grapefruit spoon is perfect for kiwis. That colander is only good for cooking pasta - what about straining salad greens? Again, mono-use no good. Keep an organized kitchen and you won't have to spend extra money on lids. And lastly, I never really got the enthusiasm for brownie edges, myself. Don't much care for burnt edges on my cake.
Ian Hayden The tomato one is also good for strawberries. I'm sure you drain more then noodles. It depends on how you cook. For me, I cook in large amounts. So a few of these items help save time and allows me to have a nice looking food item. Also the storage jars have many uses.
Some of these are really useful despite some people thinking otherwise. I’ve always wanted the half colander because it’s less surface to wash (saves water) and can be used on all pans. Also saves space and time. Like the silicon lids as again save space. The butter grater is good as butter is too hard when kept in the fridge and if not it might get contaminated. Don’t like that. Pineapple corer has been established as very useful. Would also use the strawberry corer as it’s kinda fun.
Some really good gadgets. Thanks for showing so we don't have to buy and get stuck with the ones that look good and don't work. I think my wife is going to love a brownie pan.
The whole point to a colander is to get the pasta out of the pan you are going to continue to use an more importantly to rinse it off with cold water to halt the cooking process. The colander seems nice, but I don't know if would actually replace a regular one.
Indeed they would, will you be getting any of them for your kitchen? Also, could you help me get to a million subs and share this video or another one of my videos, thank you !
One Thing about the tomato corer. I bought one and fell in love with it. But later i realized theres a faster way. If you cut the tomato in half so that the core stays as a whole you can remove it with 2 cuts... (3 with cutting the tomato in half). I think its faster you dont need to change "Tools".
To get soft butter: scrape the butter needed of of stick, get a bit of paper and spread it then scrape it off and scrape it off again until you have soft butter
hi Luisa, Yeah no problem I know how frustrating it can be to see something in a video and then not be able to find it. the cutting boards I use in most of my videos are these: www.makesushi.com/product/hinoki-wood-cutting-board-miyabi/ also please help my channel out by sharing this video, thank you so much!!!
Thank you Maleka, the knives are Miyabi knives. Also, I need some help growing my channel, please share this video, thank you so much I really appreciate it!
We eat Kiwi with the skin it is like eating a peach, and I like my old Pampered Chef tomato corer, pineapple wedger, and brownie pan. I have that new style strainer and I hate it. Burned my hands trying to get it on the hot pan. However I would like to try that brownie pan and those lids.
Very good idea, but the bottle should not be transparent. Yes, also light changes the chemical structure, not just the oxygen. The closet is fine, but not everyone keeps everything in the cabinets. So a dark green or brown bottle would be better suited.
Watching this, I am so happy our butter is soft when we buy it. I guess where I'm from we just eat too many sandwhiches to deal with hard butter, hard butter is generally used for baking, not for your toast
these are great unitaskers, so unless you need to relatively cut, chop or pour massive quantities for the relative tasks there is no point to them. The vac storage is genius if it lasts and comes in different sizes and the one in all lid is decent for only people who lose them, just saying not everyone stores their containers and relative lids separately while not in use, these are are the exception though and are not unitaskers.
We call tomatoes with cores as gas station tomatoes. As they sell sandwiches or even warm food with tomatos with cores not cut away because these places are opposite of quality food.
All these gadgets are awesome, cool-looking and just fabulous. However, I do not think they are very practical. For one, they just have one use. Secondly, they are mostly plastic or frail and susceptible to breaking. Lastly, like the butter grater, in the time taken to set up the gadget, I could have finished buttering the slice. Five times.

the kiwi one. how much do you use kiwi to need that one? and eating it as it is just take a spoon and eat directly out of it. And the tomato thingie, we have a smaller tool that looks kinda like a teaspoon but you use it to remove the hard bit from the tomato. smaller so it takes less space

There are 8,000 people on here saying that the tomato corer is a strawberry corer. YES AND NO. Norpro makes one that is supposed to be for both. However, it will only work on both if you are buying non-organic strawberries. Organic strawberries are smaller because they are not grown on steroids - LOL - and require the "strawberry" corer that actually looks like a strawberry with little dimples on it.
As a cook this is one of the best videos out there - no nonsense, no absurd items nobody uses. Every single one of these (I would add the Mango corer) are well worth the money.

The best Kiwi Gadget there is is called a tea spoon...
bruchpilot747 lol im weak😂😂😂😂😂
to eat directly yes, but not to make fruit salad with.
bruchpilot747 lol
or you can take the whisk from a mixer:P
That's right!! You don't need a gadget just a spoon for your kiwi!!!
What am I doing I have exams tomorrow morning
yeah, these cooking gadgets will not help you with your exam....
You are trying to forget and get a little calmer. :)
Try to relax. Take a deep breath, make a cup of tea and tell yourself - even if i fail - even than i will be OK. No matter whether i fail or succeed - even than, i will love and accept myself the way i am.

Same
Au revoir tristesse same here!! 😂😂😂 Good luck!
Au revoir tristesse I thought I was the only one who's wasting her time on RUclips and having exam tomorrow 😂
The storage with the vacuum lid is good for storing but the extra space on top will collect dust. Which means the dust will come in contact when the food when you open the lid.
If you have dust on your jars, you would have the same issue anyway. Keep them in a closed cupboard or - dust them off regularly
Ah , its time for my nitpicking abilities to shine.

A muffin pan is like $3 and does that too.
The stretching lids were my favourite space saving and really practical 👌🏻
You're awesome dude, love the fact that you take time out of your day to show us all these gadgets, I need them! I would have never thougth to get a butter grater myself..

My solution to the brownie pan - just use a cupcake or muffin sheet. Then you're entire brownie is still edges
That is a very good solution to the problem as well
I think what you're trying to say is that it's a better solution.
But it would also make a great hamster 🐹 run
Clayton Harring great idea! Thanks
I do that too! So much better then a normal brownie and way easier to make :)
This sushi looks amazing!
I'll take that compliment, thank you :)
please go back to making sushi vids
LOL Cool J Ikr!! 😂
A spoon is a cheaper and better alternative to peel kiwis
why would you not have a knife in the first place? Also the tool needs the kiwi to be in half first so............yeah
Oh boy, gadgets that take up space and only are useful for one thing
Ian Hayden The tomato one is also good for strawberries. I'm sure you drain more then noodles. It depends on how you cook. For me, I cook in large amounts. So a few of these items help save time and allows me to have a nice looking food item. Also the storage jars have many uses.
I agree. In fact to 'TroLz tRoll''s comment :- yes, yes I do indeed use a knife.
lol it was just a untasteful joke, I do also use a knife but to be exact it is a butterknife so not a 'im bout to kill a cow' knife
Ian Hayden, oh boy, no one gives a fuck how you feel about this.
That can also be said about you.
so many useless gadgets i dont need in my kitchen
Thank you for sharing these products. I don't know if I need all of them, but the ones I do like, I will look for. Thanks again!
Those stretchy lids work great! I use mine all the time!
Thanks for the positivity @The Memory Traveler, also please take a moment to share this video.
The butter grater is so satisfying
I like the air prevention lid
the stretchy
And the oven tray
cool thanks for the feedback, they are good gadgets you chose.
btw, it helps me a lot if you share this video, thank you!
Why would you want more edges on your brownies? The pieces with no edges are the best
In life there are dog people and cat people, then there are also edge people and center people.
Julia E or just use a cupcake pan.
It is for edge lover
I kindly disagree edges rules!
YOU LIE!!!
I want EVERY one of those gadgets! Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
I am in love with the wholesome and actually helpfull content this channel provides
Thank you so much, Saskia! Really appreciate your comment :)
The tomato corer is also used for strawberries
ILoVeToraVe that’s what I was thinking
There a melon spoon for that
No, its too big. You need their strawberry corer for that.
Too big. Think about it.
Some of these are really useful despite some people thinking otherwise. I’ve always wanted the half colander because it’s less surface to wash (saves water) and can be used on all pans. Also saves space and time.

Pineapple corer has been established as very useful. Would also use the strawberry corer as it’s kinda fun.
Best kitchen gadget selection I've seen
The butter grinder can also be used with cheese😊
I have that silicone colander and I LOVE it.
You put butter in a butter dish in your cupboard. That's how you keep it to spread easier.
I can't believe it! A video with lifehack gadgets that actually are useful. Well done.
I could definitely do with that tomato corer. 😍
You can also use the tomato corer to remove the leaf cap from strawberries
Ah! All of these would be so good in the kitchen!
Indeed they would, will you be getting any of them for your kitchen?
Also, could you help me get to a million subs and share this video or another one of my videos, thank you !
It just works. I highly approve this.
The tomato corer was actually created for hulling strawberries. Either way it's a great gadget and a dream to use when you have volumes to hull.
One Thing about the tomato corer. I bought one and fell in love with it. But later i realized theres a faster way. If you cut the tomato in half so that the core stays as a whole you can remove it with 2 cuts... (3 with cutting the tomato in half). I think its faster you dont need to change "Tools".
This gadgets are only useful for one thing😢♥️
The very first video with actually quite useful gadgets I've ever seen. Great job
To get soft butter: scrape the butter needed of of stick, get a bit of paper and spread it then scrape it off and scrape it off again until you have soft butter
Thanks for showing us the gadgets! Where did you get your wood cutting board, please?
hi Luisa, Yeah no problem I know how frustrating it can be to see something in a video and then not be able to find it.
the cutting boards I use in most of my videos are these: www.makesushi.com/product/hinoki-wood-cutting-board-miyabi/
also please help my channel out by sharing this video, thank you so much!!!
that tomato gadget is also used for creating "pockets" in strawberries, that is great to make something like chocolate filled strawberry.
I love the first three really useful gadgets for a change and I also love your very expensive Japanese knife
Thank you Maleka, the knives are Miyabi knives.
Also, I need some help growing my channel, please share this video, thank you so much I really appreciate it!

Thanks this is actually quite useful
Were you expecting differently?
Im glad you enjoyed it ☺️
If you like corner pieces of brownies, here's a life hack for you. If you don't cut the brownies into pieces, you'll have one big corner piece.
Loool that is true
Very good idea, but the bottle should not be transparent. Yes, also light changes the chemical structure, not just the oxygen. The closet is fine, but not everyone keeps everything in the cabinets. So a dark green or brown bottle would be better suited.
Watching this, I am so happy our butter is soft when we buy it. I guess where I'm from we just eat too many sandwhiches to deal with hard butter, hard butter is generally used for baking, not for your toast
I am a salesman too. So I love them all too.
6:11: "This one will have two edges and one corner"
me: EXCELLENT
Chef of the Future! Haw Haw
Thank you very much Joe, please share this video to show to your friends please.
Number 6 i have them realy usefull buy them now
Thanks Maksymilian Nijak for being helpful with this gadget, also take a moment to share this video please.
Omg he replied☺☺☺☺
Love the pineapple corer
Super ces astuces !! Amazing !
Or you could think for a moment and just store the Tupperware with the lids on it so you do not get confused
Nobody does
Some of these are really tip-top!
i need those silicone lids...heading right to amazon now
That is such a waste of pineapple 🍍 And the core, like with broccoli and cauliflower, is the best part 😜
these are great unitaskers, so unless you need to relatively cut, chop or pour massive quantities for the relative tasks there is no point to them. The vac storage is genius if it lasts and comes in different sizes and the one in all lid is decent for only people who lose them, just saying not everyone stores their containers and relative lids separately while not in use, these are are the exception though and are not unitaskers.
I never cut them cores off of my tomatoes... anybody else?!
some people do indeed just eat those hard bits.
anyway did you find the rest of the gadgets useful or interesting, Ellie?
How To Make Sushi I found the tomato one interesting and also the rest. I do watch a lot of gadget videos!
We call tomatoes with cores as gas station tomatoes. As they sell sandwiches or even warm food with tomatos with cores not cut away because these places are opposite of quality food.
i need something for freezing food. Want to have the food maintain freshness. Good video
The tomato coring gadget also works great for strawberries
i suspect this was sponsored.
nope
Fair enough.
Of course
Gee, ya think?
Awesome and very useful gadgets.
Five times.
The tomato corer is for strawberries originally. But using it for tomatoes is cool too
#7 -- is great if you are an occassional chef and have maybe 3 tomatoes to cut.
However, this is something you do quite frequently (aka, daily) and IF you MUST cut "many, many, many" (aka, 24 to 30, maybe 50) tomatoes, the best gadget is called a knife, a lot faster and cleaner.
*I HiGhLy ReCcOMeNd ThiS*
I highly "reccomend" you to learn grammar
amazingdude l lol why? This grammar was perfect.
@@pupupurin143 it's "recommend"
King Kazama That isnt grammar, thats spelling two completely different things.
@@pupupurin143 well i know the difference but yeah i get it. He is just a grammar/spelling nazi.
I thought the brownie pan was a good idea. They were sold out! You're just too good of a salesman! Lol. I did buy a couple of the items you showed. Not all. I already had some items. I learned a few tricks while working in restaurants.
You know how they have those "As seen on TV" stores, or at WalMart? They should have an "As seen on YouTUBE" stores too.
That's what happen when man conquer the kitchen. everything is hard to them. but that's when innovation arise.
indeed :)
will you get any of these kitchen gadgets?
Like the gagets. Thanks .
I need all of these gadgets!!!!!!!!!!!
about number 8, i hate the corners, so that pan is my worst nightmare. unless it is a cake that has all sides frosted, then i like the corners as they have the most frosting
The brownie thing is genius but I love my brownies and your girl likes to get every inch of the pan filled so the little raised groves would be taking away space for more precious brownie mix to go lol
I really enjoyed this video was interesting to see what’s available.
The butter one
You can just cover a hot cup over butter and let it warm
It will be easier to spread on bread
Indeed you can, that is a trick I have seen in the past
the kiwi one. how much do you use kiwi to need that one? and eating it as it is just take a spoon and eat directly out of it.
And the tomato thingie, we have a smaller tool that looks kinda like a teaspoon but you use it to remove the hard bit from the tomato. smaller so it takes less space
This man is amazing!!!
If the butter grater was a sensible price Id buy one for making scones .
No.7 can be used for strawberries too!!
Alec Red it is a meant to be for straw berrys XD
My mom taught me a trick to core tomatoes. Don't cut in half. Cut in two piece so that entire core comes in one and core the piece.
WoW! Spaghetti 🍝 butter!!!
Hahahha yes that is one way to call it 🤣
See more of my cooking gadget videos here: ruclips.net/p/PL-OGf8d1I7m3MMoktB7Uib4wdVnRQN5qT
i loved the look of your brownies have you got the recipe for irt has glazed cheries?please???
I want all of them!!!!
no air jar you should test it put water in and see if any leaks out when flipped over
Just use a teaspoon to hollow out a kiwi fruit
I use the stretchy lids for everything.
That "tomato coreing gadget" is actually a strawberry corring gadget
Secretary Of Defense very true
Hold up, people actually core strawberries? I understand not wanting to eat the leaves but why cut off most of the strawberry. All you have to do is grab the leaves, twist and pull.
ElleSHour big strawberries often have a White crunchy centee
Nope, it is wayyyy too big. You need their strawberry corer for that which I use a lot.
0:26 Did anybody hear "It grates your butt"? LOL
if you need any of those thing, learn how to cook instead. the more specialize an item is, the more useless it is... and what a waste of space. a vegetable knife or chef knife takes care of all that.
If you hold your knife over a boiling kettle it will warm up and make it easy to spread the butter on your morning toast. 🤗
That is indeed a good tip for spreading hard butter

There are 8,000 people on here saying that the tomato corer is a strawberry corer. YES AND NO. Norpro makes one that is supposed to be for both. However, it will only work on both if you are buying non-organic strawberries. Organic strawberries are smaller because they are not grown on steroids - LOL - and require the "strawberry" corer that actually looks like a strawberry with little dimples on it.
