I think they just clean the car first
From my experience there’s multiple ways of wrapping a car, you can do it how he did it, or you can use soap and water it doesn’t matter either way you need a heat gun

wth, I've tried several times it doesn't go as smooth as you demonstrated. Took me hours yet couldn't get rid of few wrinkles. Might have smth to do to the wrap quality peerhaps.
