This whole issue is way over exaggerated. RW wants to win. He doesn’t need fixing. He has no ego problem according to several former and present teammates. He needed a competent coach and now he has one, that he contacted before the hire.
Nope, you can’t fix old, broken down, you simply replace it. Payton might squeeze another win or two out of Wilson but definitely not a playoff team. Hope the Broncs have a solid backup QB.
I think if peyton can't make Wilson better, Noone can. If the broncos can't get anything going offensively next season we should cut our losses with Wilson and cut him
Who says they did not talk about that. Russ wants to win, and I believe they have discussed that.
If Russell Wilson needs fixing, then Sean Payton can do it. But, if Wilson is plain out of gas, then no, he's unfixable.
Did Wilson have this "team" or whatever in Seattle?
Yes. His ego is what got him traded
@@dougie-thugie I wish all these reports about Payton being the "new sheriff in town" would have pointed out that Wilson had this "team" in Seattle and it wasn't a new thing in Denver because the narrative seems to be him having a "team" was what caused his decline. Since I don't follow the Seahawks or the Broncos this is all news to me.
@@dougie-thugiethat stuff was ignoreable when he was still winning games and playing well but he got traded after missing the playoffs, and its always better to trade someone when theyre still worth something, like 2 first round and 2 second round picks
@@dougie-thugie : Russ only left the Seahawks because he WANTED to leave the Seahawks.
Russ had a no-trade clause, which only the best of the best athletes can finagle.
Teams don’t give no-trade clauses to QBs who aren’t truly elite! How many QBs in NFL history have had them?
Russ believe only three over the last two decades: Brady, Rodgers, and Russ.
Even if the Seahawks had wanted to trade Russ - which Pete Carroll certainly didn’t - they couldn’t have done it without Russ’s permission.
The Seahawks didn’t dump Russ. Russ dumped the Seahawks!!!
At the end of the 2021 season, Pete was begging Russ to “run it back.”
If Russ had wanted to remain a Seahawk he would be a Seahawk right now, and they would have had a way better record than an inflated 9-8.
Pete wouldn’t have minded a bit. Russ has never been 10-11 as a starter in his life…the way Geno is right now!!!
The Seahawks can pretend to be happy with Geno all they want, but they’re looking for a new QB.
Geno is a healthy version of Teddy Bridgewater.
Russ was traded SOLELY because he wanted to be traded. He simply chose the wrong team and coach!

Russ contract will go down as one of the worst in NFL history
It already is. It’s by far the worst contract ever. Denver got robbed by Pete Carrol. 😂
lot of draft capital given up and money spent to finish 3rd in that division
When Russ is fixed We demand a show apologizing to that man
First Wilson needs to apologize for feeling untitled and it all about him. Then again he’s gone to Hollywood and that’s all he cares about. He isn’t about winning he’s about the fame and money.

Even Pete admitted this in a 2021 Bleacher Report article. He credited Russ for his coaching success…not Beast Mode or the LoB…RUSS!
Look at Geno’s record! He’s 10-11 as the Seahawks’ starter, and it’s not going to get any better than that.
@@DeCurtaRican Well I don’t think we can discredit Geno either! Man had an electric year after being a proclaimed “bust” for many years (Myself among them). Pete is a very good coach with, or without Russ. I do think they were a good pairing but it had reached its end, but they were both good together, time to see how it all plays out (in time) what they do without each other

Why would you even entertain that possibility? Russ knows Payton very well and has wanted to play for Payton for 3years…since Brees retired!
Russ asked Payton to come to Denver. Did you forget that as well?!
He’s Russell Wilson, not Cam Newton or Kyler Murray!!!
Wilson been bad for about 4 yrs now if you watched his tape. They had him putting up some good stats but since 2018 his tape has been bad. Stats are massively overrated. Got to watch players play
Russ’s stats in the 4 years from 2018 to 2021 were almost identical to those of Rodgers and Mahomes!
And how was he bad in 2020 when he set career highs and led the Seahawks to the NFCw Title with a 12-4 record?! 😏
And he was injured in 2021, yet threw for almost exactly the same number of TDs abd INTs as Rodgers abd Mahomes, as well as Completion% and passer rating?!
He was injured in 2021, and he was saddled with Hackett, Melvin Gordon and injuries to himself and his team in 2022.

@@dougie-thugie I still can't believe how the Cowboys hoodwinked the Vikings nor how the Seahawks hoodwinked the Broncos.
Seahawk fans acting like they did something special with this trade cracks me up. Russ was traded for essentially seven players. Just by numbers (trading one player for seven players) they should have won this trade. Unfortunately trading for Lock, Fant, Harris, and two slightly above average OTs doesn’t make this trade comparable to a great trade heist like the Hershel Walker trade. This trade is giving vibes more like the Ricky Williams or the RG3 trade (teams who traded a lot for one player but 10 years later no one talks about the players that came from those traded draft picks).
Russ will be fine. He was too great for too long, last year was an aberration.
The audacity of this....this colonist coming in thinking he can be the boss of Russ! Well, we'll just see about that, Mr. Fix-it!

I've always said russell is the MOST OVERRATED "QB" ever!!!!
SO...new Broncos Owners, went out and 'bought' one of the nfl great qbs....Wilson...and now they have bought one of the best Coaches....soooo if they can't turn THIS into a playoff run...then they should roll up the franchise...just quit it...just relegate it, to some B league..with the Birmingham Bulls and the Fresno Storm..lol....Go Broncos.
