    I am a Chiefs fan, and Payton is going to do well for Denver. Even if he isn't winning a large amount of games. Definitely a top tier coach with a great demeanor.

    I like the teams that Sean has built. If he makes cuts and trades to get some Draft picks then I'll support it. We haven't won since Manning.. idc what it takes so long as he gets it done!

      @@mahadbuni4130 Why would we lose to the Chargers? We beat them in our last game last year... with Payton I can't see why that wouldn't happen again. Same with the Chiefs; we almost beat them twice, once with Rosburg and once with Hackett of all people. Again, I can't see why we wouldn't have a good chance at winning those games next season.

    When all of the pleasantries of dinners, nice text messages, welcomes chats, team events, and social hours are over we'll see where the rubber hits the road and how this relationship between Wilson and Payton is 6 weeks into the season when he gets to see what he has in the QB. Wilson will be forced to go one way or another. It's either Payton or Wilson at that point. And I don't see ownership budging one bit when questions and arise.

    Payton needs to call plays for Wilson like how the eagles use Hurts.
    Wilson is a running qb. This is why he was so great with the Seahawks.

    Not much if a challenge. Russ is still elite. He realized he had a moron for a HC and mailed it in all season. I’m not so sure he didn’t sandbag Hackett. I had a feeling midseason Payton would become the Broncos HC.

    When Payton took the Saints job, the entire NFC South Division was garbage. He was able to lead a true outlier in a then mid 20's Drew Brees to dominance in that division. He is not going to stand a chance in the AFC West with a mid 30's Russell Wilson going against Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert. This is a great paycheck for Payton though.

    I have my doubts that Coach Peyton can fix Russ. Russ has lost much of his mobility. As a result, he must pick up his pocket play. But he's pretty short, he holds onto the ball too long and he stares down his recievers. Two of the three can be fixed. But the biggest obstacle is his sense of self-importance.

      If russ stinks this year, the broncos can draft a qb early in 2024 and have him sit behind russ for 1 year and cut him in 2025 with a manageable cap hit.

      Russell hasn’t lost much mobility. After Hackett was fired he used it more. Two rushing Touchsdown @ KC and they ran the read option a lot more… and successfully too

      Russ doesn’t need to be athletic like Lamar and Fields, but just able to extend plays outside the pocket.
      Like Mahoney for example, he is not fast but he can extend.

      Which was my part problem this season. Nathanial Hackett was trying to hard to instill HIS offense with a QB that doesn’t play that style of offense.

      How quick everyone is to forget. It was stated publicly by Russ and Hackett that Russ would have more control of the offense in Denver than in Seattle. Russ wanted to prove he could be a pocket passer. Plus, he doesn't have the legs to play like he did before.

    This will probably be the 1st year Russ will have a coach that's not a my way or the highway guy. The seahawks are too systematic. If this don't work it's because the media is trying so hard to push Payton at Russ. Russ is about as humble as a quarterback as you can get. In a corny way. Who you work out with should be a personal conversation in house.
