Was there last night and like Sammy said, it’s not a tribute but a celebration of the music. Joe/Jason not there to pretend they are Eddie and Alex. They have their own way of playing these songs. All you haters just don’t get this. This music was great when it was released and is still great today and is older fans enjoy it. You don’t like it, that’s fine as no one is forcing you to listen to it or attend the concert.

Sammy was born in 1947, just like my dad, who passed on 2020. Watching him singing as if it was 1986 accompanied by the legends Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Jason Bonham, can only make my heart bump and think “This guys definitely rock!”
I don’t care about details and styles, they’re in sync, and every one of them master their craft. Respect.

It’s funny. I was never a Van Hagar fan at the time, although I did see them once at Monsters Of Rock. But now I think I would rather see this line up then the last official Van Halen tour simply because I think Michael Anthony’s backing vocals were one of the most integral ingredients of the Van Halen sound. It’s great to hear his voice again. And this lineup of musicians is obviously stellar.

Haters don't forget to knock the keyboard player for not sounding like Ed either. After that get a guitar and YOU try to sound like Ed or Satch. You won't even get the tuning right let alone the tone. Joe has spent his entire life creating his sound. He does shows like this and the Experience Hendrix shows to show his love and respect to the great ones, not to sound like thier clones.
Now for the Sammy haters. He was rich and famous before Van Halen, took VH to the next level and while the brothers were doing thier best to destroy thier own legacies, Sammy just kept making good music...and giving large donations to local food banks in every city they played in, still to this day. I love VH, but to listen and read the toxic nonsense some of you spit out is just disheartening.
Side note, VH3 is better than you remember if you're really THAT into what Ed was about.

Ed was better at playing his stuff, (actually in his book Hagar said he had difficulty playing anything but his own music), Joe is better playing his music.
Anyone who doesn't like this doesn't have to buy a ticket.

This carloslozada has commented 4 separate comments complaining about how bad it is. They’re in their 60-70’s like it wont be perfect but its still amazing to see this performance
