Amy you can get your chicken at a lower price per pound if you buy those exact packages in a case at Sam's. There are six trays of chicken breasts to a case. You can actually buy most of their meat in bulk. Exact packaging just several of them in a large cardboard box. Just ask the butcher and they will bring out to you.

@@nancyj9892 All you have to do is order for pick up or just tell the butcher at Sam's that you want a bulk box of whatever meat you want. For instance, the boneless, skinless chicken breasts will be packaged exactly like the single ones you just grab in the store but there will be six trays of them at a price per pound that is lower than single packs. Go to their website and just type in bulk meat.
Amy just a tip I learned if you store your sour cream upside down in the container, it will keep it from getting that watery consistency on top and stay fresh longer 😊😊

You can make your own buttermilk by adding a tbs of lemon juice or vinegar to a cup of regular milk.
Butter is so much healthier on its own, I wouldn’t mix the Vegetable oil in with it it will clog the arteries 🙁 butter is more expensive but so much better for us and it nourishes the brain too 😊
Once you open the dry buttermilk powder, it must be stored in the refrigerator. It goes bad very quickly otherwise.

you are supposed to stir the liquid into the sour cream , thats where all the nutrients are.

Amy, I noticed when you were at Sams, you walked away from your cart quite a bit. People are desperate. Wear a crossbody bag for shopping. That way you take only the essentials and you can keep it close! Be safe!
The store was pretty empty. I try and shop during the off times.. But yes that would be a great option.

I buy that Buttermilk mix and it works great 👍. I don’t waste money buying a carton of buttermilk because I only cook with it. We don’t drink buttermilk. I think you will really like it. I also buy the better than bouillon chicken flavor jar and it makes great chicken broth. I totally stopped buying the cans and cartons of chicken broth. Just thought I would let you know. I HAD TO LEARN TO ATTACH A PEN TO MY PAPER LIST SO I COULD CHECK OFF ITEMS AS I PUT THEM IN THE CART. I FOLD MY LIST JUST ENOUGH TO ATTACH THE PEN. IT HAS KEPT ME FROM MISSING ITEMS.
Walmart has a large assortment of pickles the store brand are good love the bread and butter spears and the polish kosher dills
I found blueberry coffee creamer at my Walmart, keep stocking up every time I shop lol😅
I use to volunteer at a homeless shelter and one of my jobs was to go to the food bank once a week. This food bank was 4 city blocks long. There was a cost of $25 a month membership but each week i could get a cart full of food..the cart was like a luggage cart at a hotel. I was able to get 30 pieces of chicken for $5 total. Now this food went to the shelter and I didn't take it home but I seen people going to the food bank that had foundations or halfway home that allows them to get a membership.
I just started shredding my own cheese as well. Got a shredder on Amazon and it works sssoooo good.
Hi Amy! Sam’s club DID have the mini M&Ms. They were just in a box (big BLUE box) instead of the jar on the top shelf right next to the peanut butter M&Ms. Look at your video at about 5:30min
They were individually packaged..the cost was more
We are in east Tennessee, and you did way better than we do on your budget. We shop once a week and it is stressful. I dread shopping.

The price tag tells you how much each item costs per ounce. So we can compare prices without having to do the math in our heads 🙂

Keep buttermilk powder in fridge. It works wonderfully. It amazes me the amount of food your family eats, it is the difference between 3 at my house and 8 at yours. Great video thanks. I get so many ideas watching you. God Bless
All you have to make butter mil is put vinegar in regular milk. Use 1 Tablespoon and enough milk to make a cup
Buttermilk last 3 months in the fridge. It’s clabbered milk I’ve been using it that way for 55+ years. don’t care for the powdered stuff 😊

@@amymaryon Yes it does like I posted I use it up to 3 months past the due date. I just shake it up good and use it after 3 months if I haven’t use it all I discard it. I only buy half gallon at a time and usually use it within the 3 months

I have to get Duke's mayo. LOL, I run out of spoons, so I always buy the plastic kind. Once my mom packed a real dinner knife in my lunch bag. I accidentally threw it out. Eventually I told my dad, he was like, that's why we were missing a knife. Daugherty Dozen says strawberries go up in price during Valentine's Day. Amy, I can spend so much on groceries, and it's just me. LOL, if you are at Walmart, you can buy a pen. I like Classico Alfredo sauce. I was looking at your video, you didn't have any.

Use cottage cheese in place of sour cream in your blender. Adjust thickness with water. Good dip or dressing!

Me too! But the savings at places like Sam’s don’t really work for us. The sizes are just too big. There are few things I use that much. At Costco, I do buy olive oil, toilet paper, and dishwasher tablets.

Yes no income tax...but you do pay property taxes and they are much more than we had to pay plus...higher insurance and higher utilities ..the cost for us is much higher than we used to pay ..I'm sure it is less than some places we were referring to how ours has gone up.

Amy, I love your videos but it’s really hard to watch when you are shopping. A small tripod would really help. You Could attach it to the handle of the cart and just turn it the camera direction you want to film.
