    As a longtime guitar player let me offer my humble opinion- Tina, who began studying classical guitar at 6 years old, then transitioning to electric guitar when she was 13, is far more skilled and technically gifted then the doo OR davie504. Studying classical guitar so young would give her a HUGE advantage when she switched to electric guitar. I'm hoping you could do a reaction to her DragonForce cover?

    • @usuallyclueless4477
      @usuallyclueless4477 3 года назад

      It is super impressive that she's this good especially at this age.
      The Dooo is not less either, he's been playing music for 14 years, multiple instruments and he has the ability to play pretty much every complex piece there is.
      That being said, Tina's Steve Vai FTLOG cover was filled with great feelings. That was the most impressive cover of hers to me, because other than the technical skills, that FELT good too.

      @@usuallyclueless4477 that's true.The doo is incredibly talented. Tina though is more technically gifted. The Doo can play anything that Tina can I believe, but not with nearly as much Focus

    Tapping, alteranate picking, sweeping, pull-offs ... Yep. she does it all. Very humbling for someone who played guitar for more than 30 years on stage. Grew up with classical piano and yes; everything she does is spot on

A true phenom! Lots of professional guitarists would give anything to have her abilities. Thanks for the great review!

  • @hannuhedman5882
    @hannuhedman5882 2 года назад +1

    I think she is just "in the zone". It may look like she would be almost nonchalant but it may be that she is extremely concentrated... She said in some interview that she is very concentrated and emotional inside when playing guitar. You can find videos of her playing at very young age classical guitar and she looks quite similar in those videos also. The classical background can be noticed also in her metal rock covers. Her very "classical" musical expression (phrasing etc.) and impeccable technical skills must have developed mostly before she even started playing electric guitar. The tapping techniques she has learned after starting electric guitar I guess. After only one year of practising she already played very challenging songs in electric guitar.

    The look on her face is not one of ‘this is easy’, it is a look of extreme concentration and keeping the next steps in place. Notice she has the guitar on her left leg… that’s how classical guitar is played due to needing the guitar in perfect, stable position for such difficult playing.
    She’s amazing, probably the best electric guitar playing on RUclips.

    • @BinkyTheToaster
      @BinkyTheToaster 3 года назад

      If she's classically trained (since age 6, from what I've read) then she'd have been coached to keep a neutral expression throughout. You can see her face break slightly when she nails a hard part or really gets into the music. It's subtle, but it's there :)

    4:15 Its an Electric guitar (Hers is a Custom made Vigier Excalibur model I believe), there are different types of electric guitar pickups and bodies around so some research about it might be needed if you're into it.
    Metal music players / shredders are usually seen to be using "superstrat" type electric guitars with at least one humbucker pickup.
    Bass is what Davie504 plays, the one with the low, deep sound and 4 strings.

      @@usuallyclueless4477TINA S interview :
      --- QUESTION : Why did you choose the Vigier Excalibur Special Mysterious Green for the cover of THE LONER by Gary MOORE ?
      *** TINA : I chose this guitar because it suits me perfectly. The Excalibur Special meets all my technical criteria in addition to having a dream aesthetic, with the neck, pickups and woods combined, it's just the complete package.
      --- QUESTION : What are the biggest changes compared to your Excalibur Custom ?
      *** TINA : The big difference is in the sound of the microphones. My Excalibur Custom has Seymour Duncan pickups while this new guitar has DiMarzio pickups. These are more aggressive pickups, which have a higher output and I like that.
      For the neck, the big difference lies in the feel of the fingerboard. I have indeed opted for a rosewood fingerboard for my Special and the sensations of touch are very interesting. The bridge is also changed, the tuning stability is just great, the ease of use is also a winner compared to the Floyd Rose of my Excalibur Custom ...
      In short, a lot of things have changed between the two models !

      robyd. Tina is better than TheDooo at 17. But he didn’t start playing until 12. She started at 6. But she is better because she started learning classical until 13. Then switched to rock. She can play everything TheDooo can play as well as him, but he can’t play classical as well as her. If he practiced at it, I’m sure in a few years he would be right there. But as you saw in Davie504 vs TheDooo, when they played finger-style, TheDooo is nowhere near a classical guitarist level.

      -- Tina : There are no collaboration. However, I was invited by Patrice Vigier to visit his factory. It was a great honor to meet him but there is currently no collaboration with Vigier as with any other brand of guitar.
      -- Question : Why Vigier ?
      -- Tina : Vigier is above all a brand of guitar of exceptional quality. Each model produced has specifications that we cannot find anywhere else. If you really want to perform well, you have to have 100% reliable equipment, that's what made me choose Vigier.
