Coming from an American, who the fuck puts orange juice in egg nog? And whats up with pure pumpkin puree and a splash of cream? What? Lol plus, snowballs are like twinkies, they aren't a holiday treat, they're sold in gas stations all year.
Two things: 1/ these lovely folks come to the tasting fully loaded with prejudice against anything American, 2/ these are horrible representations of traditional American food.
have you seen the videos about americans eating other cultures food? they reacxt the same if not worse so number '1' has no validity, 2 i could agree with
TheSleepySnorlax not really look up Americans trying desserts/ snacks by buzzfeed and you'll see they are very open to trying another stuff and like most of what they try.
i was talking aboutbuzzfeed welltheres one specific woman who hates aanything not american ,im yet to hear her say something good about non american foo
Excuse me, Irish People form this video: You have been cranked. Nobody drinks "egg nog punch." That's horrible and not a real thing. I don't care if someone claims otherwise, they are liars :P Also, video people, how dare you not give them real pumpkin pie. Rude. Super rude. This whole video is a crank, honestly. Who the hell eats Sno Balls and Hershey's candy cane nonsense at Christmas? Where are the sugar cookies? Where's the homemade egg nog? Monstrous.
JetstreamGW I agree, this video is absolutely terrible. whoever prepared the foods for them to try this video did an AWFUL job. We don't like this shit.
Yeah i said the same thing. Im 33 and lived in new england my whole life and i have never ever heard of this blasphemy . I feel like this is maybe a single state oddity
1. I'm an American and I've never even seen one of those snowball things, let consider them a traditional "holiday food." 2. I've never tried that Hershey bar, but the candy cane Hershey Kisses are amazing, so I'm sure I'd like it. I think Irish people prefer dark chocolate anyway. 3. Egg nog is gross and everyone knows it - even most Americans. 4. Why not just give them an actual pumpkin pie? Seriously, what was that about? No Americans eat what they ate.
+Lyndsey Reed Snowballs are Hostess snack cakes sold year round and not even intended as a holiday treat. They are coconut crusted, marshmallow covered dry chocolate cupcakes. Now you never have to eat one. You're welcome.
Egg nog is very good, it's just one of those things where you have to have the taste for it. It's basically a love or hate thing, there is no in between
Nobody fucking does that. I like these videos, but they keep making up random shit and trying to pass it off as some American secret. Pumpkin pie is a big fucking deal here.
blue berry creamcheese pie, chocalate oatmeal patties. Sandies . Eggnog with extra nutmeg cold ! Wassle ! HOT COCOA with mint ! NOW THESE ARE CHRISTMAS TREATS..
I just found this channel and as an American I am completely binge watching all this American taste tests and I have to say they're pretty entertaining! But this is the most far off! Haha I have never even heard of egg nog punch? and pumpkin pie is amazing if it's homemade! but I'm still going to continue binge watching! (:
I agree they need to show the real stuff. Like the full homemade Pumpkin pie, Ham smothered in Honey and cinnamon with pineapple slices and cherries on top. Mmm I'm getting hungry just saying all this.
Not to mention I don't know anyone who does pumpkin pie at Christmas. That's Halloween and Thanksgiving. Christmas is mincemeat pie(not made of meat, the apple one) and molasses pie and cookies primarily. Around me you can't even buy canned pumpkin outside of fall. Which is stupid but it's a thing now.
As an American you lost me at that "Eggnog Punch". I have literally never heard of mixing orange juice with Eggnog. Also, no one eats pumpkin puree that way. No one.
+beans rabba None of these (with one exception) are Christmas treats. Egg Nog is the only Christmas treat presented, but it has to be made fresh (not out of a container) to be any good. Nutmeg goes IN the drink, not on the back of your hand. So as usual, they f@#&ed the whole thing up with BS.
Someone should make a video where you feed Americans the garbage other countries think we eat on a regular basis and get their reactions. Also, who the hell eats Snowballs and are you sure you didn't just make egg nog punch up? Feeding them pumpkin straight out of the can is just cruel.
Yeah, what sort of maniac eats pumpkin out of a can... and then pours evaporated milk on it ... what the heck was that? We'd like to talk to someone in your research department because that's rubbish!
I doubt it. My wife made a pumpkin pi to a 'trusted' American recipe. It was worse than horrible. To think grown adults volunteer to eat this garbage! No wonder they think Miller's Light is beer!
We looked in many stores before filming this video and couldn't find any pumpkin pie nor do we have the facilities to bake our own, so this was the closest we could get to the real thing.
No one I know on the planet puts orange stuff in egg nog. I am so confused who comes up with these things as "American" because that is not what we do.
Yah, give them the real shit, like Reese's Peanut Butter Trees, Peeps, Candy Canes full of M&Ms, and a mixed sausage n cheese platter from some kiosk in the mall (assuming there are still malls when you're reading thus)! 'Merica! 👍🇺🇸
Actually, something real like homemade pecan pie, or homemade boiled custard or homemade chocolate cream drops...that industry rubbish isn't fit to eat.
My American Christmas foods would comprise of a dinner of roasted or fried turkey, mashed potatoes, mixed steamed vegetables, and whatever add-ons we're feelin' up to. For dessert, pumpkin pie (and not just the raw ingredients), apple pie, or even cherry pie, though I prefer pumpkin. Sweets may include eggnog (no alcohol), candy canes, or chocolates. And I was expecting you guys to do classic American Christmas foods like turkey or even fruit cake, which I've never tried, but have only heard terrible things about. You chose some of the most obscure Christmas-themed foods that hardly any American likes.
Yaoi Fan Fruit Cake is actually quite good. It's like medieval MREs. It's very rich and a little dab will do you. I had one shipped over to Afghanistan and everyone ate it. :)
+Yaoi Fan Turkey at christmas and fruitcake is English. The turkey is a North American bird but the turkey was farmed and consumed in England at Christmas (eventually replacing goose) before the united States was a country.
Our revolves around Crab and corn chowder, T-bone Steaks, twice baked potatoes, Green Beans, etc. half of us don't even eat this crap. At least the ones in the middle class dont
I'm American and don't know anyone who'd eat that "pumpkin pie" shit. We eat actual pumpkin pies, thanks. Tune in to my video where I have Americans eat Irish food, and just throw some raw sheep guts on a plate. Come on people.
TheMasquerade6 Except they have a lot of fucking sheep. "Census returns indicate that at December 2011 Ireland had 3.48 million sheep (3,480,691) in 33,766 flocks including 2.36 million breeding ewes over 12 months of age. There was an average of 103 sheep per flock compared to 97 sheep per flock in 2010." Almost as many sheep as people. I'm pretty sure sheep in Ireland are more common than Americans eating raw pie ingredients and calling it pumpkin pie. But you're not American, so no surprise you wouldn't be able to easily find this information.
Some were very American, like the pumpkin pie (though not sure if they would have same opinion with a real, homemade pumpkin pie like my grandma used to make) and eggnog, but the others were American but not necessarily traditional. I would say it is pretty accurate though in terms of seasonal junk foods. It was a lot more accurate than your Southern American Slang video (coming from a studying linguist and Southern American myself, most of the terms used were either highly regional within the south or archaic...the pics in the background weren't even from the South but from the Southwest, a separate cultural region entirely.)
Even we would admit the Southern Slang video could have done with alot more research! That was back when we had a team of 2, which is now 4. So it is much easier for us to do a longer research & writing period on each video.
Facts. I'm really glad to here that. I love your videos in general and that's the only one I had any issue with really. I have Irish ancestry but not really any connection to the culture. I want to go to Ireland so badly (My mom's side of the family can trace their roots back to County Cork, but that is beside the point.) It would be awesome if you could do a redux video of the Southern American slang video or even go and do other regions of the US. Aussie, Kiwi, or South African slang would be a really cool video topic as well. Thanks for taking the time to reply to me btw.
Facts. Obviously it's not working. The only thing here that's legit is that we drink eggnog during Christmas time. Though one thing, the Borden eggnog is made in the city I live in, and NO one drinks that shite. If you want to try a great eggnog you need to get Southern Comfort Traditional Egg Nog. Every single American video of yours is filled with outdated stereotypes, obscure brands or flat out bullshit.
+David Pallatin It sounds like some horrific concoction from the 1960's Midwest - best served with Jello salad molds, hot dog and cheese balls, and sadness.
I'm American. I've never had a Sno-Ball (I hate coconut). Never seen that candy bar before. Can't stand eggnog, let alone eggnog punch (is that really a thing?). My family has an old pumpkin pie recipe of our own, and it still requires baking.
bananaPLEASE That wasn't even pumpkin pie filling. It was just pumpkin puree; an INGREDIENT in pie filling. It's literally just roasted cooking pumpkin pureed and canned. It's never meant to be eaten plain.... It has the texture of baby food when cold, for one.
Who eats those snowball snacks during the holidays?? Then again I don't eat them period... I am intrigued to try that eggnog punch this year though. ;)
+miss rose That's what I thought. I'd be pretty sure someone in my family was having a nervous breakdown if they showed up to Christmas with a box of snowballs under their arm
+miss rose I agree! Some of the things they have on here makes me scratch my head, but then perhaps they are going on a majority or a major city trend???
+miss rose They used to make snowballs in pink, too, at Easter. They tasted exactly the same, so I have no idea why. Easter colors? I don't know anyone who drinks pre-made egg nog. You make your own, and it's ALWAYS made with rum, unless your family is in AA. Or Baptist/Mormon. I'm surprised they didn't vomit. I'm sure Leather Jacket Guy would love it with rum, though.
Umm... Snowballs are sold year round. They are t exclusively for Christmas. Though I agree they're disgusting. Eggnog is an acquired taste (though why you mixed it with orange juice, I'm not sure. Tastes better with whiskey or bourbon in my opinion); as is the Hershey's peppermint. Finally why not just serve them an actual pumpkin pie?? Nobody in the us eats it that way...
I have never seen eggnog with Orange juice or concentrate in it ever. I am 99% certain we have no prepackaged product like that. Is this a regional thing I am missing or were you guys just being cruel to the testers? Same with the "pie"
But...the pumpkin pie. Why would you give someone pure pumpkin without sugar or spices? You should have gotten pumpkin filling, that way it's actually edible -_-
@@alisgray I think they got "eggnog" confused with "Tom and Jerry", which is an alcoholic punch that is vaguely similar to eggnog, very popular in the Upper Midwest round the holidays. Good stuff.
American pumpkin pie isn't like this shit, either. We don't have build your own pie. Frankly, aside from the egg nog, which is often mixed with rum, not many Americans eat any of these things.
Pansy Flower well mince pies are European and we have them in Ireland. They're mostly just trying stereotype Christmas food, like their Irish food stereotype video.
+Addie Mae I've seen all of these in American sitcoms though? So people do eat them...just because YOU don't. If no one ate them then they wouldn't be produced.
Eggnog + Rum + a dash of cinnamon on ice = the only way to drink eggnog. Also, despite the name, a sno-ball is not a Christmas food. It's most commonly found in gas stations.
American Christmas treats are fudge, divinity, nut roll, cheeseball, peanut brittle...homemade stuff for the most part! I don't know anyone who eats Snowballs and mint candy bars. And eggnog is vastly improved by Jameson's!
ShastaMusic You are DEFINITELY not alone there, trust me, lol. I hate Hostess products, they're all greasy and slimy and too-sweet and fake-cream and just...blegh.
ShastaMusic I'd like to say I am too but I secretly sneak out of the house at night to grab a hostess apple pie from a gas station every now and then. And immediately after eating I feel disgusting.
ShastaMusic I'd like to say I am too but I secretly sneak out of the house at night to grab a hostess apple pie from a gas station every now and then. And immediately after eating I feel disgusting.
Pumpkin pie is more of a thanksgiving thing. You should've had them try Terry's chocolate oranges, those are delicious and my favorite Christmas candy.
I second that. Those little chocolate fruit-flavored balls, whether they're orange or raspberry are verrrry popular. When I worked at a grocery store, they'd sell out before Christmas and women would come buy and stockpile them.
Pumpkin pie is good any time of year. Thanksgiving is the most traditional holiday association because it's closer to the harvest, but not taken up by candy or cookies.
Okay okay false false false! I am american I have been in america my entire life and I have never had snowballs as a christmas treat nor have I ever mixed anything other than alcohol with my eggnog. That's complete bull s*** right there. they're making us look even worse LOL.
The only thing I've tried from ANY of these is Eggnog... And it tastes AWFUL! Dx Here's what we have: Turkey, (or chicken) Mashed Potatoes, Rolls Deviled Eggs A tray of tiny veggies (Celery, carrots, cucumbers...) Ice Cream, (chocolate or vanilla) Chocolate Cake Chocolate Fudge Cookies Random homemade desert Whatever else someone wants to bring. We do NOT eat crap like those snowball things... And what the h*ll kind of pie was that??
what people dont seem to realise we have 99% the same stuff as americans buts its the weird little things like whats in the video thats just associated with America that we dont
+savana day (LoftwingGoesMew) My family does Vegetable Casserole (California Mix Veggies with Onions, with a heavy cream sauce, topped with Parm cheese and broiled till light brown on the top) added to that. We also left out Stuffing for Bread Pudding last year. Artichoke and Leek Bread Pudding. Was delicious. Christmas snacks? As in... well... most people would assume sugar, since we're American. So.. Candy Canes.. Candy Cane Ice Cream, Candy Cane Vodka... Magic Cookie Squares, Chocolate chip cookies with pecans, pecan pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie (actual pumpkin pie, not that crap from a can), coconut cream pie, sweet potato casserole, ambrosia (fruit casserole with whipped cream, jello, and marshmallows), peanut butter cookies (with a Hershey's Kiss on top), Pecan Tassies (bite sized pecan pies), etc. etc.
What is it with these videos? They choose "ghetto" slang that no one uses (nevermind how offensive that is) and then snacks most Americans don't actually eat at Christmas (eggnog punch?! wtf?). I see they did an American soda video. Is Fanta involved? How about Pepsi blue?
It's still American food though, even if it's crap and unpopular. Fanta is in Ireland by the way. The tasting American food are probably their worst videos from what I've seen, but American channels do the same sort of thing sometimes.
L McD Buzzfeed at least tries for some accuracy, even though sometimes they go for the weird & obscure to make for a funnier video, too. But... when you say "American Christmas treats" people don't think "treats that exist in America and are sold around Christmas." They think "treats that American people generally eat around Christmas" which are two separate concepts. One says "this weird thing is sold in America." The other says "Americans like to eat these weird things." And the vast majority of Americans don't eat these things for Christmas. Christmas dinner is turkey, maybe something like potatoes, pumpkin or sweet potato pie, maybe pecan pie, sometimes ham. Christmas treats are candy canes, chocolates, Christmas cookies and the like. Some people do enjoy eggnog. But the Hershey bar is a specialty one that most people wouldn't buy. And the Sno-Ball thing is just a regular snack cake, and is sold year-round and isn't particularly associated with Christmas. And the pumpkin pie fiasco was just lazy. It's like serving someone a bowl of flour, a glass of milk, and an egg and saying it's a birthday cake.
SunyiSideUp Then the only difference between proper American Christmas food and proper Irish Christmas food is pumpkin pie. (And candy canes do exist in Ireland) It may be a slightly stupid video, but I think people got a bit too annoyed by it.
L McD No, I think there are some things that they eat in the UK and Ireland that aren't common here. Like, don't they have Christmas pudding? And also, there are regional Christmas things that are eaten in specific parts of the US that aren't common in other parts of the US, that sprang up out of various cultural influences that definitely aren't common in Ireland, too. There are things that could've been found that aren't common in Ireland that are more common in the US than the things in this video.
SunyiSideUp I suppose you're right. It's kind of hard to defend them when some of their videos have these mistakes, but a lot of people really did overreact. I didn't know that you don't have Christmas pudding in America, there's no boiled bacon either, is there?
Nor me. Honestly until I saw it on this, I've never seen or heard anything about "Egg Nog Punch". Who the hell adds water to egg nog? Who thought that would be a good idea? Sounds awful.
You guys need an actual american to send you "american" christmas snacks.... And make your own eggnog and we dont eat snowballs and hershey bars all day everyday. Lol and you think we stereotype you all. Slan
I was enjoying some of these videos, like when they tried the barbecue. These last few videos I have watched have centered around giving them cheap alternatives to what we ourselves prefer to eat. I mean sure some people use pumpkin pie filling when they don't know how to cook, or buy bad eggnog from the store, but when people here can afford the good stuff, we do that more often than not. They should try that. I mean this would be like trying the cheapest irish dish or drink you could find, and holding everything else to that standard. Every country has shit alternatives.
Plus who just mixes a bunch of stuff just out of a can and drops it in a pie crust and eats it like that. I have never seen people do instant pie shots. That's just weird.
You are so wrong about these Christmas treats, snowball cake treats are a snack for any day, and hopefully not very many people eat it, you don't know what your doing!
I looked it up and Terry's originated from England. I didn't know that. (Although the company was bought out by Kraft in 1993, making it American for over the last twenty years so HA!) In my defense, every other candy in the US is pretty much non-existence in the UK and vice-versa, so I thought Terry's was no different.
TheAdskidids1 Yes because what country candy is available in is very important to know. I am just so ignorant about the world because I don't know where some brand of chocolate is available. Its nice to see at least some other people pick up the slack of brand recognition, a very important part of learning about the world. I sure am ignorant. Yep.
I'm from America and I would never even think of eating or trying that stuff. Normally I'm the only one even trying to bring food from around the world to our table. I remember I once made Vanillekipferl because those taste better than the store bought cookies.
This does NOT respresent traditional Christmas treats. I've never had egg nog with orange before? You people are down right silly. You make a mockery of America.
Riley Howard "I've never had egg nog with orange before?" and you must represent all of the US so? The recipe for this was written on the eggnog carton, that brand being one of the most popular in the US! :)
Borden is a line of products that is sold in only 9 states with nearly all of them being in the South...I don't understand how this could hardly be considered one of the most popular brands in the U.S. if the overwhelming majority of Americans have never seen or heard of this brand before?
Facts. A lot of American food products come with special "recipes" printed on them that most people ignore. They usually require some other product sold by the same company (to increase sales), and appeal to a certain buyer who wants to surprise her guests or family with her "creative" cooking. I've never heard of mixing eggnog with orange juice and can't imagine that tastes good, and I love eggnog. Eggnog is meant to be mixed with spirits, sprinkled with nutmeg and sipped on a cold night as an alternative to hot chocolate, not taken as a shot.
I just don't see the attraction to eggnog unless there's something "extra" in there to make you want to drink it! Um like, lets say some alcohol!!!!!! YEAH!!!! Then it's Christmas!
Oh come on....you should have had a real pumpkin pie to eat....you should have tried a ginger bread house, fudge, fruit cake......those weren't real Christmas treats......
Why were they eating pumpkin filling than instead of making a pie with it ? If I took one ingredient of something you like and taste it....it won't be fair to the entire product. Anyway, I've done my fair share of traveling and there are lots of things that are special to areas, it never hurts to try new stuff.
Why don't you actually homemake Christmas treats because that's what Americans do. Pumpkin Pie is fantastic drowned in whipped cream and you know, actually baked into a real pie. Not a shitty unbaked one. Lol.
That's so unfair! To feed these kids a bunch of glop, and call it American food! WTF! Nobody eats Snoballs for Christmas!! In fact, nobody eats them at all !! What's this pumpkin pie out of a can, pour canned milk on top and call it pumpkin pie? I want to sock the producer right in the eye!!
Vincisomething Often they don't.. E.g. with the Alcohol tasting they had people drink lukewarm Raki as a shot .. while usually it's drunk ice cold with Ice water on the side or more traditionally mixed with ice water
SuperThong Song It's not Buzzfeed, and they are exaggerating for comic effect. By deliberately giving terrible ingredients, the joke works on 2 levels: humorous cultural misconception of american food, and the reactions themselves.
It's not +BuzzFeed which is why these videos freakin' suck! All but the video of the 90's cartoons are a bunch of videos of Irish people talking $h!+ about cheap/regionally unknown products and slang and sports.
I usually like these, but first you completely messed up Thanksgiving, then this! Snoballs... nope, that candy... nope, the "eggnog punch"... where did you get that? And then to deliberately screw up pumpkin pie... I'm with everyone else in here. Whoever came up with that crap should be fired. Where were the candy canes? Where were the shortbread Christmas cookies? Put some alcohol in that eggnog. I know you taste test with alcohol. Where was the pecan pie? And I'm still pissed about the pumpkin pie.
Snowballs? I've eaten like one snoball in my life and I've never seen them given at Christmas. The Eggnog yes. They should have just given plane candy canes.
I've watched like 4 of these videos and not 1 person has liked 1 thing. I'm just assuming they really hate America and everything in it at this point lmao
+ace02ad, yeah I mean the thought of what it is seemed to put them off but at the same time if I was in a restaurant, personally chicken's intestines wouldn't be my go to. :-)
At the recommendation of a friend I have watched about 6 of these videos. While I find them quite entertaining; everything I've seen is either something I've never heard of, don't like or is prepared wrong! Please, don't base your opinion of American food on anything that I've seen you try! Except chili dogs...chili dogs are pretty amazing! Oh and...try a Chicago dog!! Perhaps you already have one, but in case you don't..I'd love to see you try Southern cooking!!
this is a disgrace to any normal American family. you should get actual americans to pick the items. Egg nog is the only thing Christmasy here, most people already don't like it and you didn't even make it yourself like a lot of americans do.
I never had anything like this in america, and I see what most of the stuff is you give them in the american videos, mostly cheap junk with zero- horrible flavors stop doing that to them.
I enjoy watching foreigners eat things from the US. Like most videos like this though, they usually pick niche foods that a lot of people don't eat regularly. I'm from the US, so I thought I'd give my experience with these foods. I don't like snowballs because I don't like coconut that much. I prefer ho-hos or something w/ chocolate. But like many of these things , they have so many ingredients & clearly aren't good for you, so it's an occasional thing. I haven't had the hershey peppermint, but I've had similar types & they're pretty good. I've had eggnog probably 2 times & I didn't like it, so I never did it again. Certainly not w/ orange in it! It's really hard to call that pumpkin pie. I've never made it w/ evaporated milk or pumpkin from a can, but I guess some people do.There's just no way if they had a good slice of pumpkin pie w/ whipped cream that they'd have such a negative reaction. I just had Christmas dinner and I made herb crusted rack of lamb. Other people made seabass, mashed potatoes, lime & cilantro rice, green beans, salad, & apple sauce. The "treats" we had were some sort of apple cheesecake bars, my grandma put strawberries on toothpicks w/ white chocolate, coconut, and marshmallows (she saw it on pintrest), chocolate chip cookies, & random chocolates (like Dove & Hershey). Almost everything I listed was home made, & it was delicious! So overall, I just wish they used better quality foods that are more popular. Thanks for reading my whole comment if you did. I like to type. :D *Edit: I just noticed right after posting this that the comment below from 3 weeks ago says basically the same thing. I just wrote a more, & I sound less angry . hahah
gazat123 This point certainly makes it hard. But... there are things that are almost certainly America specific that aren't this gross. Because even regionally in America people have different things they do for the holidays. So, stuff that is done only in one region of the US probably isn't also done in Ireland.
I didn't even notice til u said sumn. I was jus thinking why the hell would buzz feed have such a horrible video with not a single real american item n that explains why. Glad u noticed
To be fair, I've always known snowballs to be homemade with rolled oats, coconut and chocolate, with marshmallow if you want. Much better than any store bought fluff that they gave them.
Snowballs are year round. I have never in my life heard of that version of egg nog punch. Egg nog punch is egg nog mix with liquor( I use rum). BTW, Iv'e never seen egg nog sold like that. It's usually in a cold milk carton, that looked like one of those shelf milk containers...no one drinks shelf milk.
They are quite proud of their culture. You obviously see it as drunken people who fight all the time. That's the stereotypes you receive. The stereotypes we receive are the fatty American foods and etc. (not saying it's true). Remember, their tastes are completely different from Americans. So what if they don't like it? It doesn't bother anyone.
Katie Drumgoole where did I say anything about stereotypes or drunken people? All I said is that these Irish people are just trying to make themselves feel better by trashing other people.
Katie Drumgoole You gotta admit though, mashing the ingredients of pumpkin pie together without actually even baking it is bound to lead to some misinformation.
Coming from an American, who the fuck puts orange juice in egg nog? And whats up with pure pumpkin puree and a splash of cream? What? Lol plus, snowballs are like twinkies, they aren't a holiday treat, they're sold in gas stations all year.
Right! It's like they purposely wanted to disgust them!
That's how us Brits felt when yanks eat crumpets..... No one eats them! +dpinargote1207
what the fuck is a crumpet
*****
It's like an English muffin only worse
I agree with you. I don't eat or drink any of that, I found that weird and I'd imagine that "pumpkin pie" would taste awful.
Two things: 1/ these lovely folks come to the tasting fully loaded with prejudice against anything American, 2/ these are horrible representations of traditional American food.
Not sure how you know they are prejudiced against anything American, especially when you accept that the products in question are horrible.

Rlly? U must be one of the 2/3 fat americans that is just offended couse they tell the truth bout ur shitty food
I'm not offended that they hate the stuff they've been given because it's garbage.
+MyWorldInColors Wiki Go away, garbage troll is garbage
+Scarlett Langston I think every American watching that was gaging. If someone served me that stuff I would not have consumed any of it. Yuk!
+MyWorldInColors Wiki "Truth"? This video was a joke just like you

Lol, no lie, they need to show them the food we really eat, not what the rich companies want them to see!
JetstreamGW I agree, this video is absolutely terrible. whoever prepared the foods for them to try this video did an AWFUL job. We don't like this shit.
i have ham and mashed potatoes on christmas
and some candy when the holiday ends
Yeah i said the same thing. Im 33 and lived in new england my whole life and i have never ever heard of this blasphemy . I feel like this is maybe a single state oddity
Last Christmas my dad put whiskey in his eggnog and it legitimately smelled like nail polish remover that tried to be banana-scented

2. I've never tried that Hershey bar, but the candy cane Hershey Kisses are amazing, so I'm sure I'd like it. I think Irish people prefer dark chocolate anyway.

Snowball thing, go to the small Mexican ile in Walmart or your grocery store.
ZeMzA Well apparently they're not that great, so I'll pass.
+Lyndsey Reed yeah they taste like shit
+Lyndsey Reed Snowballs are Hostess snack cakes sold year round and not even intended as a holiday treat. They are coconut crusted, marshmallow covered dry chocolate cupcakes. Now you never have to eat one. You're welcome.

In what world is fucking deconstructed pumpkin pie an American Christmas treat?
someone was too lazy to bake a pie =/
wouldnt pumpkin pie filling be better than pure canned pumpkin? lol
Oh Gods why uncooked pumpkin pie ingredients? And no whipped cream? YOU HAVE TO COOK IT, AND DROWN IT IN WHIPPED CREAM.
+Wren Paasch And thats why america is top 10 with the fattest people in the world
I'm a personal trainer and a size two and I say DROWN PUMPKIN PIE IN WHIPPED CREAM. ;)
Wren, that's okay when it is pumpkin pie...I don't know what they were eating but it wasn't pumpkin pie.
murica! fuck ye!
pumpkin pie mixes sugar and spices into the pumpkin, and cooks it. that was just a prank.
That was a crime to pumpkin pie. You did not taste pumpkin pie.
I feel like they just wanted to ruin the idea of pumpkin pie for anyone who hasn’t had it (correctly) :/ What an insult to pumpkin pie.
I just found this channel and as an American I am completely binge watching all this American taste tests and I have to say they're pretty entertaining! But this is the most far off! Haha I have never even heard of egg nog punch? and pumpkin pie is amazing if it's homemade! but I'm still going to continue binge watching! (:
Ive been watching these for hours like lots of hours
That was not fucking pumpkin pie. And wtf is eggnog punch, you guys made that shit up.
Right!? And why didn't they put rum in the egg nog?
No, eggnog punch is a real thing, it's just very weird one you find at office parties and pretty much nowhere else.
I thought the same thing, who the hell eats pumpkin pie at Christmas.
As an American you lost me at that "Eggnog Punch". I have literally never heard of mixing orange juice with Eggnog.
Also, no one eats pumpkin puree that way. No one.
We don't eat snowballs for Christmas. Who made this list???
Who chooses these things??!! These are NOT what 99% of Americans have for holidays.
BodaciousBeverly Exactly I've never had any of this stuff...
let's send them all the bad stuff see how they like it more reasons to hate us :|
+BodaciousBeverly Yea who in their right mind eats candy cane Hershey bars?
I can't stand the shit they choose to feed them.. constantly misrepresented.
First food, Snowballs. ::head explodes:: ... no. none of these are holiday treats. And AGAIN... you got the pumpkin pie wrong.
Exactly
Buzzfeed got beans on toast wrong.Even though it's the easiest hot food you could ever make.
+Molly Miller i agree with you all the way
+beans rabba None of these (with one exception) are Christmas treats. Egg Nog is the only Christmas treat presented, but it has to be made fresh (not out of a container) to be any good. Nutmeg goes IN the drink, not on the back of your hand. So as usual, they f@#&ed the whole thing up with BS.
+Molly Miller Is that your grandmother?! AHHHHH I LOVE!!!!
Since when are Hostess Sno-Balls a Christmas treat, specifically? Those things are eatible all year round, babeh
It's the name I think
Jason Duggan Just because it's a "snow ball" doesn't mean it's Christmas food
ToruKun1 snow is usually accosiated with Christmas sooo
Jason Duggan Yeah but nobody in the US really associates Sno-Balls with Christmas just because they're snow-themed
ToruKun1 alright
Someone should make a video where you feed Americans the garbage other countries think we eat on a regular basis and get their reactions.
Also, who the hell eats Snowballs and are you sure you didn't just make egg nog punch up? Feeding them pumpkin straight out of the can is just cruel.
Yeah, what sort of maniac eats pumpkin out of a can... and then pours evaporated milk on it ... what the heck was that? We'd like to talk to someone in your research department because that's rubbish!
I totally agree with you!🤢🤮
Hmm, never seen those candy cane Hershey's before.
I think they'd have liked the pumpkin pie if you actually let em try a pumpkin pie.
I doubt it. My wife made a pumpkin pi to a 'trusted' American recipe. It was worse than horrible. To think grown adults volunteer to eat this garbage! No wonder they think Miller's Light is beer!
John Benton Cause your tastes will be the same as everyone, huh dumbass?
I have taste. That's why I think pumpkin pie is horrible. It tastes like liquified, baked shit.
John Benton Yeah, you've never eaten pumpkin pie. Bitch ass liar.
Yeah. Real pumpkin pie is delicious. Nothing like they gave them.
Y'all should have given them some real pumpkin pie, or better yet some sweet potato pie!!
We looked in many stores before filming this video and couldn't find any pumpkin pie nor do we have the facilities to bake our own, so this was the closest we could get to the real thing.
Facts. And you call yourself "facts"? Laziest response ever. I lived in UK and you can easily make pumpkin pie.
xmirame No, we call ourselves "Facts." :) - facts.yt/w/what-is-facts (refresh the page for more)
Facts. seriously? No one who works for you has a kitchen and a stove? Wow.
Facts. Guess we know why there's so many periods of starvation in Irish history now. Pumpkin Pie is literally one of the easiest things to make. :P
No one I know on the planet puts orange stuff in egg nog. I am so confused who comes up with these things as "American" because that is not what we do.
Jeez, you must be going out of your way to find the most off the wall crap for them to try, and act like it's popular in the US.
@@larcoal2963 those candys can be found where there from, there's no point in giving them things they normally eat
Its that orange eggnog at 3:15 that had me dying 😂😂😂 But yeah, cruel to not have a balance with decent stuff lol
Yaoi Fan Everyone does it a bit different though, that's the thing. Nothing you've described sounds like my American Christmas.
Yaoi Fan Fruit Cake is actually quite good. It's like medieval MREs. It's very rich and a little dab will do you.
I had one shipped over to Afghanistan and everyone ate it. :)
Yaoi Fan your completely right man this doesn't represent america at all. these guys are just trying to get attention.
At least the ones in the middle class dont
that is not how you eat or make pumpkin pie guys... Jesus christ.
embirlily Leave Jesus out of it, LOL
whutzat fuck fake ass jebus bitch
GooseGanja In English, please.
whutzat
Fuck you too ... understand that?
GooseGanja LOL get lost, little troll.
The ONLY thing in that list that was American Christmas was the straight Egg Nog. Everything else? No American touches that stuff.
I'm American and don't know anyone who'd eat that "pumpkin pie" shit. We eat actual pumpkin pies, thanks.
Tune in to my video where I have Americans eat Irish food, and just throw some raw sheep guts on a plate. Come on people.
Dude chill. It's only food. No need to get so upset about it 😊
I think you got your countries mixed, but that's ok, because you're an american, so no surprise there.
that was the point of his comment... he was pointing out how not american this was
TheMasquerade6
Except they have a lot of fucking sheep.
"Census returns indicate that at December 2011 Ireland had 3.48 million sheep (3,480,691) in 33,766 flocks including 2.36 million breeding ewes over 12 months of age. There was an average of 103 sheep per flock compared to 97 sheep per flock in 2010."
Almost as many sheep as people. I'm pretty sure sheep in Ireland are more common than Americans eating raw pie ingredients and calling it pumpkin pie. But you're not American, so no surprise you wouldn't be able to easily find this information.
I'm not British, but thanks for proving my point.
I want to go to Ireland so badly (My mom's side of the family can trace their roots back to County Cork, but that is beside the point.)
It would be awesome if you could do a redux video of the Southern American slang video or even go and do other regions of the US. Aussie, Kiwi, or South African slang would be a really cool video topic as well.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to me btw.
Facts.
Makes me wonder if you even bothered to do any research for this video. Snowballs is a Christmas treat? Riiiiiiiiight...
RedBearded T True. None of this makes sense.
Eggnog punch is Eggnog, Vanilla ice cream, and Sprite. Moose Juice is Eggnog and Whiskey (Canadian Whiskey). And that was NOT pumpkin pie.
Just reading this makes me nauseous!🤢🤮
That's worse
eggnog punch sounds like the most discusting thing ever. and im american
+tnglo eggnog and whiskey tho is great
+David Pallatin Yeah, we do egg nog with rum in.
+Angela Gustafson in whete
+David Pallatin It sounds like some horrific concoction from the 1960's Midwest - best served with Jello salad molds, hot dog and cheese balls, and sadness.
+norbonius As a Midwesterner, I can confirm that "egg nog punch" is not a thing, nor has it ever been a thing.
To be fair, they chose the worst American treats. I'm American, and I hate all the things they tried
Yeah each video, they choose the worst stuff, it's like they are trying to make fun of America
Will Feinberger right there with
They needed to make them real snowballs, with rolled oats, coconut, chocolate. Not store bought flavoured sponge.
Will Feinberger true
I'm American. I've never had a Sno-Ball (I hate coconut). Never seen that candy bar before. Can't stand eggnog, let alone eggnog punch (is that really a thing?). My family has an old pumpkin pie recipe of our own, and it still requires baking.
Wait, were they just pouring concentrated/evaporated milk onto pumpkin pie filling and eating it???????
bananaPLEASE That wasn't even pumpkin pie filling. It was just pumpkin puree; an INGREDIENT in pie filling. It's literally just roasted cooking pumpkin pureed and canned. It's never meant to be eaten plain.... It has the texture of baby food when cold, for one.
bananaPLEASE Yea that was horrid, They would have been better off buying one of those shitty, cupcake sized frozen pumpkin pies
bananaPLEASE We are American, we make food that will far out last the human race and fallout.
Exactly, that makes no effing sense
Because it tastes just like pumpkin pie, disgusting.
Who eats those snowball snacks during the holidays?? Then again I don't eat them period... I am intrigued to try that eggnog punch this year though. ;)
No one......
+miss rose Exactly.
Aren't*
"Something acidic shouldn't go with something creamy."
My immeadiate thought: Creamsicles
BUT THAT IS NOT PROPER PUMPKIN PIE DON'T SOIL ITS NAME
I have never seen eggnog with Orange juice or concentrate in it ever. I am 99% certain we have no prepackaged product like that. Is this a regional thing I am missing or were you guys just being cruel to the testers? Same with the "pie"
the only thing I ever saw added to egg nog is Rum
You can buy prepackaged eggnog in stores in the Midwest, but I've never heard of eggnog punch.
I swear that is not a real thing in the U.S. and very very good reason. Just add spiced rum or bourbon and you are golden!
Never seen it in a great lakes state
Missouri born and raised, here. Also a frequent guest to Iowa and Illinois. I have never come across that atrocious (shelf) eggnog.
But...the pumpkin pie. Why would you give someone pure pumpkin without sugar or spices? You should have gotten pumpkin filling, that way it's actually edible -_-
What part of the country is egg nog punch from? Because that's part of the country I want to avoid.
+PhilEBop bet its canada.
It goes back to English tradition, but you will find various takes on eggnog anywhere in the US.
You and me both.. LOL..
@@alisgray I think they got "eggnog" confused with "Tom and Jerry", which is an alcoholic punch that is vaguely similar to eggnog, very popular in the Upper Midwest round the holidays. Good stuff.
You've ruined pumpkin pie for those people ;-;
I have never, ever had ANY of that stuff except for eggnog - and then it was home made!
I'm American and have never had pumpkin pie on Christmas. More of a Thanksgiving dessert I'd say.
I agree
We dont have thanksgiving so .. you know :P
+Fairy Queen That's your problem! Pumpkin pie is pretty gross any day however.
lol in Hellas we make tasty pumkin pies with red and green pumkin but its not like this shit :P
American pumpkin pie isn't like this shit, either. We don't have build your own pie. Frankly, aside from the egg nog, which is often mixed with rum, not many Americans eat any of these things.
Facts this was a fail, we don't eat pumpkin out of the can like that we bake it in a pie crust! And snowballs come on! No one eats those
Then why do they make them, lol? For that one fat woman/manchild who buys them by the truck load?
Harry Murray Yeah, that's exactly who buys them
ChelZemi Wow! You learn something every day! Back to buying them!
Harry Murray That's so funny
ChelZemi Thanks babe.
I'm from the United States and I have NEVER heard of candy cane Hershey's.
They are fairly new I think.
Hersheys is a very big chocolate industry. Suprised you have not heard of it
Sally Smith I never heard of the Candy Cane flavor! I eat Hershey's all the time.
SurgeOneGaming its been around for a couple years... im not a fan personally.
msguineapigsrus Then I'm not looking! XD
I've never had half of these on christmas..
Addie Mae wheres the mincemeat pie?
Pansy Flower well mince pies are European and we have them in Ireland. They're mostly just trying stereotype Christmas food, like their Irish food stereotype video.
Addie Mae Yes, me to
+Addie Mae I've seen all of these in American sitcoms though? So people do eat them...just because YOU don't. If no one ate them then they wouldn't be produced.
I love your profile picture 😍
Is this like fake buzzfeed
Like the way the display the font at the start and at the end is the exact same
Pretty much, yeah.
Its the Irish version of it minus the thousands of subs buzzfeed have.
shit, i thought this was buzzfeed until now. yeah, it looks like buzzfeed lmao
I just realized this isn't buzzfeed from this comment.
Eggnog + Rum + a dash of cinnamon on ice = the only way to drink eggnog.
Also, despite the name, a sno-ball is not a Christmas food. It's most commonly found in gas stations.
Nutmeg... Never witnessed the use of cinnamon in it at at age 53 98 percent if my life in michigan..
Neither homemade or store-bought
@@EffectPlaceboThe i use cinnamon. born and raised in wv
3:42, Okay Irish Jesus... I'm stealing that joke
it was a great dad joke
KlunkerRider I heard that joke as a kid 😂
YES!! Only found out they have another channel called 'Are Ya Having That'
American Christmas treats are fudge, divinity, nut roll, cheeseball, peanut brittle...homemade stuff for the most part! I don't know anyone who eats Snowballs and mint candy bars.
And eggnog is vastly improved by Jameson's!
I think I'm one of the only Americans ever that is absolutely disgusted by any sort of Hostess product....
ShastaMusic You arent a minority, or they wouldnt have gone out of business.
ShastaMusic Wow you are so cool and cultured!
Pumpkin pie is more of a thanksgiving thing. You should've had them try Terry's chocolate oranges, those are delicious and my favorite Christmas candy.
Terry's is in Ireland and a fairly popular christmas treat alongside Toblerone at christmas
I second that. Those little chocolate fruit-flavored balls, whether they're orange or raspberry are verrrry popular. When I worked at a grocery store, they'd sell out before Christmas and women would come buy and stockpile them.
or orange sticks! or little foil-wrapped chocolate bells or footballs. and a pomegranate and some clementines. and nuts in the shell.
Dx
Here's what we have:
Turkey, (or chicken)
Mashed Potatoes,
Rolls
Deviled Eggs
A tray of tiny veggies (Celery, carrots, cucumbers...)
Ice Cream, (chocolate or vanilla)
Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Fudge
Cookies
Random homemade desert
Whatever else someone wants to bring.
We do NOT eat crap like those snowball things...
And what the h*ll kind of pie was that??
exactly.....
what people dont seem to realise we have 99% the same stuff as americans buts its the weird little things like whats in the video thats just associated with America that we dont
Shawn Haney
We mostly have Thanksgiving related foods. The only difference is during Thanksgiving we have the extra stuff you just mentioned.
Magic Cookie Squares, Chocolate chip cookies with pecans, pecan pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie (actual pumpkin pie, not that crap from a can), coconut cream pie, sweet potato casserole, ambrosia (fruit casserole with whipped cream, jello, and marshmallows), peanut butter cookies (with a Hershey's Kiss on top), Pecan Tassies (bite sized pecan pies), etc. etc.
Dakarn
I don't even like veggies and that Casserole sounds delicious! :o
Who has Egg Nog Punch?
yeah i never heard of it either...
Nor me. Honestly until I saw it on this, I've never seen or heard anything about "Egg Nog Punch". Who the hell adds water to egg nog? Who thought that would be a good idea? Sounds awful.
Timothy Page LOL! I’ve never heard of that either, and I actually enjoy eggnog.
there actually is such a thing as eggnog punch, but it's made with liquor and sometimes ice cream. definitely not water o_o;
No one ever on the face of Earth
You guys need an actual american to send you "american" christmas snacks....
And make your own eggnog and we dont eat snowballs and hershey bars all day everyday.
Lol and you think we stereotype you all.
Slan
***** agreed.
Slan? What's slan?
***** slan leat a buchaill! :) is maith liom caca milis!
and THAT is why i just passed ordinary level irish by the skin of my teeth in my LC :P but hey, its all just a bit of craic! :)
***** Oh right, I thought it was american slang for 'fuck off' or whatever.
Who the hell decided these were Christmas treats? Snowballs? Why not real pie? Somebody is jerking them around😒
No Terry's Chocolate Orange? For shame. That's, like, the best Christmas treat. You get to slam it on the table and everything.
but it is available in ireland so they would have probably had it before and it isnt even american
I looked it up and Terry's originated from England. I didn't know that. (Although the company was bought out by Kraft in 1993, making it American for over the last twenty years so HA!)
In my defense, every other candy in the US is pretty much non-existence in the UK and vice-versa, so I thought Terry's was no different.
JackieGoOutside Good to see you living up to the "ignorant american" stereotype.
Yep.
TheAdskidids1 get a load of this mooseknuckle.
Facts. Actually no it's not. Most in the U.S. would buy fresh eggnog from the grocery store. Not canned or boxed shit.
Borden is a line of products that is sold in only 9 states with nearly all of them being in the South...I don't understand how this could hardly be considered one of the most popular brands in the U.S. if the overwhelming majority of Americans have never seen or heard of this brand before?
Christian Gainey I know bordon has pet milk that they sell here in maryland year around. So they have to have other products.
Did they just put pumpkin on pie crust, pour milk in it then called It pie or am I going bling?
KinghtofZero00 you are definitely going bling.
Lmao
I'm pretty sure you are supposed to cook it not just eat it raw
Does anyone actually eat any of those things??? We just have like... ham and potatoes and pie. I've never even had eggnog.
Me neither :/
You're missing out. Egg nog is amazing, just don't get any of the flavored ones like pumpkin spice. :/
EGGNOG IS THE SHIT!!! it's way better homemade though
I just don't see the attraction to eggnog unless there's something "extra" in there to make you want to drink it! Um like, lets say some alcohol!!!!!! YEAH!!!! Then it's Christmas!
Wilber force then just drink the alcohol... i hate the taste of alcohol... it ruins everything it's in for me.
Oh come on....you should have had a real pumpkin pie to eat....you should have tried a ginger bread house, fudge, fruit cake......those weren't real Christmas treats......
right!!
Maggie Buchanan we have those over here so it isn't really as generic American as eggnog and Hershey and stuff
Your 100% right.
Why were they eating pumpkin filling than instead of making a pie with it ? If I took one ingredient of something you like and taste it....it won't be fair to the entire product. Anyway, I've done my fair share of traveling and there are lots of things that are special to areas, it never hurts to try new stuff.
Agreed, the only thing I had on that list for the holidays is egg nog and it's not that bad as they made it seem... Drink it with spiced rum people!
Why don't you actually homemake Christmas treats because that's what Americans do. Pumpkin Pie is fantastic drowned in whipped cream and you know, actually baked into a real pie. Not a shitty unbaked one. Lol.
I'm American and I have never heard of egg nog punch. I think you made that up we don't drank that shit, and who drink egg nog without bourbon!
I've never seen people eat half of the pumpkin pie ingredients raw. I guess this one is more for the chuckles than the accuracy. XD
Staresa Bivines it's spelled d.r.i.n.k or d.r.i.n.k.s
Eggnog is delicious!! What are they talking about?
Egg nog is one of those things where you have to have a required taste for it. I personally love it, it's thick as hell, but it's good
+Dillon Ball Required taste... HAHAHA, You got me rollin' over here.
***** honestly, I've recently come to the conclusion that it all depends on brand. what brand have you tried?
No it's disgusting 🇺🇸
+mbiggz gaming egg nog is great NOT that brand they had tho
That's so unfair! To feed these kids a bunch of glop, and call it American food! WTF! Nobody eats Snoballs for Christmas!! In fact, nobody eats them at all !! What's this pumpkin pie out of a can, pour canned milk on top and call it pumpkin pie? I want to sock the producer right in the eye!!
What the hell was that? Where the hell is that even considered a pumpkin pie? xD
Why the hell is there Hershey's in all of these treat videos.
HERSHEY IS AMERICAN
Because Europeans hate Hersheys.
+Shelley Sandman I'm confused because I've never seen half of these hersheys products
Well so do many Americans; stuff tastes like vomit.
They chose to give them the cheap versions of everything. Also who eats pumpkin pie like that??? Buzzfeed making America look bad, know what im sayin?
Not a Buzzfeed video, though. But that makes me wonder if Buzzfeed gives accurate foreign foods when they give their taste test video.
Vincisomething According to the comments, no. Buzzfeed doesn't get it right either.
You don't even know how salty that "pumpkin pie" made me
The eggnog punch I have never heard of and i live in America
Let's do an Americans eating Irish foods taste test and give them a plate of no potatoes.
Reading most da comments here and noticing American people lack a sense of humour.
Nah, just some. Sense of humor increases with intelligence ;)
Patrick O'Reilly How is lying/making shit up funny. These guys failed on every level.
+Patrick O'Reilly That would only apply if they were doing a satire video.
Maybe because it wasn't amusing?
+Patrick O'Reilly And "FACTS" lacks a sense of honesty. (Which is what we're mildly offended about).
I've watched like 4 of these videos and not 1 person has liked 1 thing. I'm just assuming they really hate America and everything in it at this point lmao
Monique Cantu There was one episode where all of them liked American cocktails. At least they like our alcoholic drinks.
They love American barbecue. Even the Korean youtube vids love American barbecue. Everyone loves American barbecue.
Yeah they did. They preferred the meat than the candy overall. They hated gizzards though and I can't say I blame them. :-)
Puca Power didn't look like they hated the gizzards till after they found out what they were... some didn't like, but most thought it was okay
Egg nog is the only thing Christmasy here, most people already don't like it and you didn't even make it yourself like a lot of americans do.
xFoozle or they could have at least gotten a good brand like southern comfort
Pennsylvania Dutch is a good one too
xFoozle no one fucking makes their own eggnog
my family does
xFoozle American food is crap
I just wrote a more, & I sound less angry . hahah
now i love egg-nog it is not something that most people enjoy
+Destry Soule I love egg-nog. Just sucks cause it's always a seasonal drink; so I either wait till near christmas, or make it myself.
Me to! Wish it wasn't just sold around Christmas
+Destry Soule
I love egg nog as well, but I've never heard of eggnogg punch. What the fuck is that shit.
Dusty OldBones
i dont know the most ive ever heard people do is add rum
+Destry Soule i really like it too. however, i am not old enough to drink so i usually get the non alcoholic version. it still tastes good though!
I agree with the snow balls they are gross. the candy cane herseys sounds gross.
(I live in the states btw)
egg nog I love
Yes to the egg nog, especially with brandy.
Egg nog milkshakes are really good.
I'm surprised they didn't like it. It's definitely my favorite dairy-based beverage.
Brock Carrow I'm irish
I haven't tried any of these.. And I'm American! Weird!
there giving the shittiest american food possible to them. nowhere near an accurate representation
693gamefreak well they arent going to give them things that are also available in ireland cause that would defeat the entire point
gazat123 This point certainly makes it hard. But... there are things that are almost certainly America specific that aren't this gross. Because even regionally in America people have different things they do for the holidays. So, stuff that is done only in one region of the US probably isn't also done in Ireland.
Also if they do give things that are available in ireland of american origin, they usually taste quite different.
I've never even seen this stuff.
I have a special place in my heart for the guy that says "are ya having that" in every video he's in
i have not had any of this at christmas and that was not pumpkin pie. not sure where you people get you facts from but they are wrong.
I must not have had an American Christmas cause I have never tried any of these .
anyone else accidentally click on this thinking it was a buzz feed video?
I just realized that it wasn't buzzfeed just now
I didn't even notice til u said sumn. I was jus thinking why the hell would buzz feed have such a horrible video with not a single real american item n that explains why. Glad u noticed
lol your comment brought it to my attention. I wouldn't eat or drink any of that, and I wonder if people really eat this stuff. East Texas don't =)
Yes I just realized that
wait this isn't buzzfeed?...
lol wtf thats not pumpkin pie..its like you picked the worst way to make those things!
I have never heard of Eggnog punch in my life! Did you guys make that up??
Hahaha what was any of this??! I need to come cook you all real Christmas dinner and thanksgiving dinner for that matter
Snow balls? Come on. Why feed them crap processed food? Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, cookies.
To be fair, I've always known snowballs to be homemade with rolled oats, coconut and chocolate, with marshmallow if you want. Much better than any store bought fluff that they gave them.
They couldn't get an actual pumpkin pie?? Also, isn't pumpkin pie more of a Thanksgiving thing?
Snowballs are year round. I have never in my life heard of that version of egg nog punch. Egg nog punch is egg nog mix with liquor( I use rum). BTW, Iv'e never seen egg nog sold like that. It's usually in a cold milk carton, that looked like one of those shelf milk containers...no one drinks shelf milk.
Never Ever Had a Snowball at christmas lol This is Not Zombieland
How are Snowballs a Christmas treat? Did the writers of this grow up on food stamps?
Artie Fischel the great depression chri
*x-mas
Good ol Days when Curly and LeatherjacketGuy were still on the Show
these videos are like these people go into this hoping to be nasty towards all of this stuff just to make themselves feel better about their culture.
At least we have a culture
lachlann o fionnain
mo(u)ld doesn't count
Katie Drumgoole
where did I say anything about stereotypes or drunken people? All I said is that these Irish people are just trying to make themselves feel better by trashing other people.
Katie Drumgoole You gotta admit though, mashing the ingredients of pumpkin pie together without actually even baking it is bound to lead to some misinformation.
Why did they deconstruct the pie?
I'm swear everything they try no one eats in America
but sno balls aren't christmas treats??? tf
