We deserves truly in depth review of Pura cameras why?
1. They put 1” sensor with variable apperture AND SENSOR SHIFT tech
2. Their HDR on selfie cam is actually better than anything in market
3. You can use telephoto macro camera as microscope (like seriously)
So basically if youre creative person, this phone will gives you unlimited possibility

you should have done more research at the minimal before making such comments.
FYI, one of the reason for the retractable camera is to utilise the 1" sensor. With conventional smartphone using 1" camera sensor (W/o retractable lens), the camera would stick out like a sore thumb due to the size of the 1" sensor where the lense would need to be of a certain distance away from the sensor in order for it to fully utilise the big 1" sensor.
What huawei does is to "Push" the camera lens out when you are taking photo so that the lens will cover the full 1" sensor (while its in use), and retract it when not in use, allowing the camera to be much more compact.
In simpler terms if you want to understand this theory, simply shine a circular torchlight onto an A4 paper - the A4 paper will be the 1" sensor in this case.
Start from placing the torchlight in the center of the A4 paper, lets say 5cm away, then slowly pull the torchlight further away and you will start to see the light coverage slowly increasing till it covers the whole "sensor".
4:31 As I said in the video it does reduce the thickness of the main camera module. You're just explaining why the thickness can be reduced. Other than that, the retractable lens really does nothing else in Pura 70 Ultra.
@@GizmoChinaTube Well imo, i feel that its being talked through without diving deeper into the reasonings and thought processes, which is pretty amazing if you think about it.
If it's simply such an "easy feat", why did the other brands not thought of implementing this? It's kind of unfair to breeze though Huawei's team effort of thinking out of the box (usual methods that all other brands are using), but innovating and finding more creative ways to improve even in the slightest way.
Your way of explanation is similar to saying that the main difference between a V6 & V8 engine is just the V8 being "faster, that's about it", yet missing the point of what's being put into the making of V8 engine. Not the best example but hope to get my point across. Great video nontheless.

Which configuration should I select so evertime I cover each lens on the Huawei pura 70 ultra it goes black. I tried to cover each lens o the Huawei pura 70 but I was not able to find the configuration to cover the big one. Thanks in advance

Would have liked to see a video test as well to see how well they compare. In photos it's clear that huawei destroys the iphone. The ability to shoot moving subjects always on point is fantastic when you have kids or take any photos of activities or pets, etc.

What surprises me the most is that there isn't much difference between the iPhone and Huawei.
Yes, there's a difference, but it's not that huge, to be honest.
So, I'm not sure it's worth buying, even though I'd like to.
Installing Google apps on a Huawei isn't very complicated, but it requires more effort than on an iPhone. Moreover, I live in Europe, so the models available to us will only have 4G.
Therefore, it's not certain that it's worth it compared to an iPhone 15 Pro Max in reality.

huawei is using RYYB sensor.Why don't you get it?Of cause more yellowish but in night time they don't need more longer shutterspeed and light to shot.

Second, don't expect a RUclips comments section to care this much about actual smartphone camera hardware, most of them really don't know much beyond the MP count and sensor size (which has only now become a mainstream talking point owing to the Android phones that have brought in 1 inch main camera sensors)

The green hues are expected in areas with a lot of green. We call that, "light reflection." Green light from green surfaces boucing around and being casted on non-green surfaces and giving them a green hue is natural, hence the majority prefering the iPhone's colorscience.
Also, when comparing the iPhone 7 and P10, the 7 easily takes the cake for cameras(not to mention, software). Maybe the Mate 20 is better than the XR? In still shots-probably. Video? A big nope.
The design is crazy good. It is a shame it came out before they could fix their issues with the US government. Speaking of that, how would the global version work? are they allowed to use google services outside the US, or was it a permanent ban on using any tech made by an American company even for consumers outside the US?

Its a gorgeous phone but in europe is a deal breaker the lack of 5G modem in 2024
but Huawei has the 5g technology, the sanction- breaking Mate 60 last year fulminantly provided top 5G speed with newly developed chinese chips. If no 5g, this is not their best model.
So what's the point of that retractable lens then? I thought it was for zoom 🤦
I really like the bluntness of this review. Although a technical wonder, the samples don’t look drastically different from a far inferior hardware. And more moving parts are more things to worry. I remember phones trying the retractable selfie cams for a very short while, and settled on punch hole for a very long time.
I personally think the Honor Magic 6 Pro is a better choice compared to this phone.

Huawei lover here.. Leica camera is really good yeah.. I have P50 pro (has leica) and P60 doesn't.. I'm still thinking if I will upgrade to P70 ultra 😅.. Hmm and I also have Iphone 15 pro max

I don't know why all the reviews about this phone are only focusing on gimmicky or secondary features (like macro- moving parts- fast shutter capture) but no reviews is focusing on the true specs of the phone ( like video Quality on 60 fps with lense switching- HDR videos- portrait mode- true performance in gaming , video and photo editing...) Is this phone really that bad that huawei is limiting reviewers from doing real reviews.
