Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comments!
That was awesome!! I forgot he was a multi-instrumentalist. What a phenomenal show!
Yeah, that show totally blew me away. And honestly, I wasn’t expecting it. I was really only going to see Ringo in person. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by a night of incredible music.
@@JonBlackstone I can imagine! I had never seen Ringo and the All Star Band but I see Paul McCartney once. They are legends.
Yeah, I remember when Ringo announced Edgar would be back for this band, I remember thinking "Oh snap, he's gonna do Frankenstein again!". I've got 3 Ringo DVDs featuring that track as well as Free Ride, I saw him play Frankenstein with Ringo and Gregg in 2011 and it was the highlight of the night, but this version easily has to be the best. I love seeing Steve Lukather play guitar on it, I love seeing Warren and Edgar play double sax, however brief it may be, and finally, Gregg gets a highly creative drum solo with Luke riffing alongside him. It's a truly beautiful sight.
You describe that perfectly. It just totally blew me away the night I was there. It was totally unexpected. I think the footage turned out so beautifully. I just had to post it. Thanks for watching!
I saw Ringo Starr and the All Starr Band in August 1992, right after Jeff Porcaro died. I think Zach Starkey filled in for that show. Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmidt, Todd Rundgren, Nils Lofgren and I can't remember who else played a really great show. All of those musicians are so amazing and to see them all together, just up there playing, looking like they were having fun, was a truly peak experience. This was a small outdoor venue, and I had seats less than 20 rows from the stage. I'm on the short side, so it was pure luck that no tall people were in front of me! Oh, what a night! 😅
The only time I have seen Edgar Winter was around 1983? in a rather tiny lounge. The place was packed and the audience loved him. It was a great show, although I did cringe and want to crawl under the table when Edgar rapped Frankenstein. Not good. 😬
Thanks for sharing! You’ve seen some great shows! As always thanks for watching.
