I love this game. It was a huge time sinker at the time and an introduction to many characters from older games that i had not yet played. It is also the greatest example of using the strengh of FF´s long history. It had great gameplay while keeping the rpgs roots, it still gave us a serviceable story, respected the original characters. Great product, great game, great memories.
I’m halfway through, the only thing I thought you’d bring up was the combos that begin with brave and end with hp attacks, that’s why my favorites are tifa, terra and bartz. Great video so far
I loved playling dissidia on my psp solo. Then they brought it to more modern times. Then it turned into a 3v3 esports game and died. Now we will never see something like this again :(
I remember back in highschool almost everyone i knew at the time played this game on their PSP's and man it got me hooked, though i got it after graduating. Still have both copies of both the OG and 012 to this day, spent hours and hours playing it and boy the story and RPG elements were a blast and the combat was great "especially in 012"
I love this game. I have fond memories of emulating it on my laptop, loading it up with mods, (Kingdom Hearts mods most of the time,) screen casting it to my TV, bluetoothing a couple playstation controllers for myself and my siblings to use, and just having a blast. Man, I miss doing that. The $15 prologue situation is really stupid, though. What I will defend against being stupid, however, is the name; I say have at it when naming your creations. If it relates to the work and it sounds unique/cool, do it. Succinct, squeaky-clean names are so boring. I want a name that stands out in my mind. The name "Final Fantasy: Conflict" would fade from my mind within a year. "Final Fantasy: Dissidia", on the other hand, is never going anywhere. I also adore the connections this has with FFI. So much of this series ties back to I in the most random of places; It's great. But that Cid Update... I had no idea about that one. That's *insane* in the best way. It's so so *so* good. I cannot understate how much I appreciate you bringing that to my attention.
@@TomLazan It was one of my favorite things to hear about in this series, so I can completely understand why. Discovering that for yourself must've felt like the biggest revelation ever. Of all time.
