Hello ants co! I keep a colony of camponotus consibrinus from australia and the queen is large! Huge gaster, and lots of brude with 6 healthy workers

Nice! This colony caught some sort of disease, which ended up killing all the workers... The queen is now alone with brood and as thin as a noodle :( I don't know what happened, I kept feeding them good crickets from petstock, but they just... :'(

Man, I had two camponotus consibrinus colonies and that happend to my other queen when she got her first worker, I accidentally fed her a poisoned roach and she became thin and struggled, I buried her but I feel sad to this day, at least I have my other colony of camponotus consibrinus

Also keep feeding her honey and LOTS of protein to keep her health stable, make sure EVERYTHING is clean and that she has clean water and everything

Banded sugar ants are tougher and can tolerate a bit more mistreatment, but golden tailed sugar ants look nicer and are almost half the price in AntShopAus... I went through that struggle myself, banded coming out on top only because my sister loved them as well🤣
