    Thanks for all of the detail and information around this printer, I just got this as my entry into 3D printing and even with as tech savvy as I am, I've found that with this being a newer release, it's been difficult to find the right slicer, profile settings, filament settings, etc. Very much appreciated and look forward to more of your videos.

    Awesome intro and assembly video. I had one, after 3 days of absolute frustration and spending more time with tech support than actually using, we sent it back and bought a different one!!! When we could get it to work right it printed beautifully, when it worked properly!!! If you are experienced with manipulating and fine tuning and have patience jumping through hoops to update then this is for you! Not for beginners! Excellent video though!!!

      I’m 15 and a beginner I saved my money for this,worst time for 2 months it wouldn’t work. I finally have it working now I’m happy with it,the quality is ok I think. I believe I just don’t have settings tuned however I’m not very experienced obviously wish I chose a different printer for my first.

    @just Vlad I know this is an older video but I just got this printer and I am wondering the pros and cons of removing the aux fan. How much does it affect prints? In my K1 max I almost never use the aux fan and have not noticed any difference but this fan is huge.

    So I have an ender 3. Wanted a bigger build plate. My issue with this printer is my adhesion. Cleaned it wiped it off could I be running it too fast?

  • @deathvalley006
    @deathvalley006 6 месяцев назад

    Do you need glue for that printer for the bed?

  • @taylorferrell6383
    @taylorferrell6383 4 месяца назад +1

    As someone that is new to this and bought a Bambi labs p1s and this 2nd I must say I’ve been very disappointed with user interface and bed adhesion. With the glue my new plate looks like crap now. I finally figured out I needed to tighten my knobs for the belt way more then do my drag test and it’s been doing good at sticking. I’m fighting stringy and low extruding when it jumps gaps, but I also had a print fail 12 hours into a project cause the corners were lifting up and making horrible clipping sounds off the aux fan so I removed it but I also don’t know when I should use it. I’m glad you mentioned the z and x calibration I didn’t know to do that. With the fan I don’t get why it prints so zig zaggy to where that could be such an issue on a large flat print. My only downside to the printer still is what to print that I really need that big just to pile up more prints 😅I will admit I printed a full set of Dji RoboMaster mega wheels all on one print compared to the 1 wheel two sides at a time on my Bambu which if they made a large printer I’d drop the money lol see you had the same issue with the fan?!? Why would they design that so low so do I need it on there or not for mostly pla prints

    • @SAES_DROT
      @SAES_DROT 3 месяца назад

      A lot of times you don't really need that fan. It supposedly helps with very high speed prints but you can just have it go a little bit slower and take the fan off, after all printing slower means better quality. Generally the fan is really optional, it's often more harm than good.
      However what's important is that you need to let the bed heat for half an hour and only then do auto-levelling every time before printing big prints (not a big deal since big prints will take many, many hours anyway), given the massive size of the bed and that the source of heat is in its center, heat takes time to spread out evenly and will warp the edges of the plate upwards and downwards as the material spreads - this is what causes your edges to not print as well as your center, the heat gets them out of level.
      Finally, Bambulab is a revolutionary novelty and its ease of use can't be compared to anything else on the consumer printer market, it is made to be ready to use out of the box. However it is expensive and small. Neptune 4 Max on the other hand was made to be absolutely massive but to still have a low price. However you need to play around with it a bit to get it printing right. Those are two very different machines for two different purposes, a Bambu-like printer with 420x420cm plate would undoubtedly cost around 1500-2000$ - you can get 4-5 N4 Maxes for that amount in comparison.

    I brought the Neptune 3 Max... Just wish I known about them doing the Neptune 4 Max when I was buying mine?
    Elegoo never said in advance they would be doing the Neptune 4 Max with Klipper and all metal 300 C hot end,
    If I seen they would be releasing the 4 Max when I got my 3 Max,
    I would have brought the 4 Max as I needed the klipper speed and higher hot end temp.
    So now I stuck with a non klipper huge bed printer which is nothing like the 4 Max in features all for the same cost too!
    And I had to save up for the 3 Max printer so yeah not a happy bunny! Elegoo really should have had a advert for it so I had the choice then?

    Hi! It is weird that in 2024 we still do manual bed leveling with a piece of paper and six knobs.... My question is -- how often do we need to perform the bed leveling? (auto or manual] Can be this done only once?

    • @mattshoemaker386
      @mattshoemaker386 5 месяцев назад +2

      I had to write a gcode macro that i insert into every gcode file i print. It performs 144pt auto-level then manually loads the mesh. The firmware for some reason just doesn't load the mesh itself

    • @redherring5532
      @redherring5532 3 месяца назад

      Why is it weird? The leveling conpensation is for making it print on an unlevel platform, with knobs you can make it flat. It doesnt make sense to NOT want that control unless you think you're entitled to a true flat metal build plate? Maybe but reality checks in uneven

    • @Impuritan1
      @Impuritan1 3 месяца назад

      @@mattshoemaker386you’re having it do the entire 144pt mesh for every print? It’s Klipper based, put all the g-code into the printer.cfg and just let it load the mesh from there.
