I think that is so beautiful that his band mates were so supportive and cared so much about him and what he went through, that they were the ones who started writing the lyrics for him. The lyrics mean just as much to his band mates as they do Marcus. True brother hood here.
You guys have to release these background synths for bloodline
Bloodline is an awesome song to listen too. I feel that raw emotion pulling me threw into Markus's story
letting marcus spill his guts about his own personal shit really made the record hit different. now he is truly aware of how many people can relate to what he is speaking on
It seems like this album was therapy for Marcus. It’s so personal, thank you for sharing it with us. Now is probably a good landscape to release an album like this so let’s talk about trauma, DV, addiction and mental illness.
PLEASE release this version of Bloodline on a deluxe edition of Alien, you can have all my money.
I really admire Marcus for being able to make such personal content the focus of the album. As I listened to it (for probably the 100th time) I thought this exact thing. That by going into detail he's providing a voice for those that are/were in the same position that he was. I'm someone who can't imagine what it must be like, but it brought that awareness, and I'm so grateful for that. When an album can evoke so many different emotions in a person that's never experienced what the artist has, well, that's fucking art. Brilliant album- thank you for having the courage to make it. I hope to catch you guys live soon.
i have been going through some traumatic stuff as well. and hearing your songs growing up has helped me through dark times in my life
Damn, I had no idea what Bloodline was talking about until now. This album is gonna be so heavy, both meaning/lyrically, but instrumentally as well. Can't wait
