Clearly, you do not understand the legal constraints on the Police when a suspect “lawyers up”! They cannot interrogate him again unless he literally waives that right. This applies while he’s waiting for a lawyer to take his case. At the beginning and, as in this case, in the middle while he’s waiting for the court to appoint a new attorney for him.

This county is messed up I grew up in box elder county. I went to school with a girl named Nicole Barlow that went missing and was found nude in the bear river and despite all of this nobody has been held accountable for her death. Even with numerous other sketchy things like her bf at the time trying to sale her phone before her body was found. RIP Nicole and praying for Dylan and his family!

I looked this up and find it very strange that they have ruled NO foul play after finding her nude! Just doesn’t sit right. One article claimed they found morphine and methamphetamines in her system and ruled her death an accident. They blame drugs for a lot of suspicious deaths when in fact it has nothing to do with their cause of death. Why was she nude? Why did her bf have her cell phone??? Did they bother to see if her phone and her bf’s phone was pinging from the same area while she was missing?? Sounds like an obvious thing they would do but considering how they’re handling Dylan Rounds case I would be more shocked if they did rather than didn’t! It seems to me they are purposely avoiding finding real evidence! Makes a person wonder what they are trying to hide... In regards to the other comment on here, she states that the Sherrif found her but all the articles claims a fisherman found her? I’m curious as to whether they truly even found drugs in her system!?!?

It would sound that numerous families could come together and file a class action lawsuit against Box Elder’s police chief and DA. I believe it a huge push to that is made, there would be significant changes in that community

Ladytruth its like LE wanted them to rummage through stuff and contaminate evidence...I think they know something, on reports like that LE usually tells u to not touch anything in case it turns into an investigation...just my opinion...I know somethings not right on either side they should have known better...
@@jacquelinesnowden8174 even without being in the tcc. 101 dont touch or mess with anything. LE also knows better and should of closed off the whole area and had forensics out there. IMO the parents told them something was very wrong because he wouldn’t just walk off.

Hey Annie💕 This case is so infuriating & what’s even more unsettling is the amount of cases like this that are handled so atrociously! I think I’ve put in a request but you should definitely look into the case of Trish Haynes. She went missing while living with two very sketchy people (who are currently both incarcerated) for other crimes. They found her body in a washer in the middle of a pond. & nobody has been held accountable. I respect how you go about covering these cases so much & think you’d do a great job of getting some eyes on this case & bringing it attention. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
You're definitely correct. I stopped paying attention to this case because I couldn't tell what was true and factual. It was a damn circus. I hope he gets justice.
Charges were finally filed , he has court April 24, but it's his first appearance, but at least someone has finally been charged. LE has had evidence since july2022 to file charges but just now did it.
Thank you for a very informative video. I was in Law Enforcement for 28 years and would like to tell you what I believe is the issue with Box Elder Police. In most areas of the US when officers are hired they are required to attend in depth training. However, in this case I believe that it would be VERY difficult to hire someone to work in such a remote area. Because of this, I firmly believe that their staff is most likely a matter of hiring ANYONE that is willing to carry the badge and live/work in the immediate area, meaning "locals". Many years ago my father was "deputized" where we lived in Idaho because it was such a remote area. I believe you will find that no one at Box Elder Police has ever been trained to investigate anything and they are "flying by the seat of their pants". Add to that the very small community and you have the "perfect storm" for incompetence. If Jim Brenner had a felony warrant at the time they were observing him moving items and they didn't follow him to find out where he took those bags, that is another example of incompetence. Lastly, I know I have missed some videos, but has anyone dug up that dirt pile where the boots were found? I know it seems simplistic but "leave no stone unturned".
Incompetence is a much too kind word, I prefer to call it stupidity. Their moto is leave no stone unturned unless it can be hauled away in plastic bags, that way we don't have to deal with it.
I totally agree about hiring cops for country posts. Also I wondered the same thing about the dirt pile. If the shoes were just thrown next to the pile then i don't think they'd put much thought into hiding his body.

That poor family, to lose their son then have a mess up for a PD do the investigation is just sad and horrifying. I feel awful for them . At this point it shouldn't be a matter of FBI take over of this case it's a joke of a PD .
I am from a small rural town. (around 3000) In the last 50 years so much has happened with regards to our town government and law enforcement. (would take too long to explain) I do not want to speculate and get something started, but at the same time this reeks of meth business. Poor kid, wrong place, wrong time.
This case has been on my mind as I have a teenage son and I can imagine how hard this is for Dylan’s parents. The sheriffs department not helping the way they should and failing to do their job must be INFURIATING.

As a parent myself, I would be livid. Dylan’s mother is very strong and holding herself up pretty well considering her son has not been found. I love how she has stood up to the Boxelder police dept. I commend her to the highest. This case needs to be resolved, it makes me crazy and leaves me with so much anxiety, I can’t even imagine what the family of Dylan’s is going through! I pray for resolution, for his mother, father, grandparents, etc…. He’s a human being that deserves justice NOW!

Well, I think it's now pretty obvious who the killer is. It's a shame someone felt so shitty in their own miserable life and killed a young man who wanted nothing more in this world than to be left alone on his farm, his pride and joy, to work. I'm sooo sick of seeing so damn many good young people taken from this world far too soon for no good reason! It's just sick and wildly unfair.

Could u imagine your child goes missing under strange circumstances and there are suspicious people involved but as a private citizen and grieving parents you have to go find your child yourself!? This is insane and bizarre! I pray Dylan is found and his family get justice and can finally put Dylan to rest 🙏💕
We’re in a new day and age in so many ways when it comes to true crime because private citizens like Heavy D and Adventures with Purpose have resources to offer that law enforcement just doesn’t. And LE will either have to accept the help or stand aside, because there’s no reason for family members to not utilize every potential resource in finding their missing loved one. I live a few hours from Dylan’s farm and my daughter is his age, so my heart has been with this family from the beginning.

I have an 18yr old. I cannot imagine what Dylan's family and friends are going through. Hopefully the extra help being brought in can find answers and get the police to do their jobs.
I have never seen a police department so useless. It's pretty much the family conducting the whole investigation. I pray they get this figured out and find the answers they so deserve. And thanks to all the lovely people who have helped the family so much. It really reignites my hope in humanity. Justice for Dylan and his family!
I've seen PD more useless and incompetent and courts more useless and incompetent. It happens more often than anyone would ever like to admit in the US. Our criminal justice system fails all of the time. Thank goodness for the people who have helped, the people who have helped actually search, the people who are attempting to get true justice for Dylan. It should be those people that are on the payroll when they do PD's job. The strength the family has in this case is massive or his case would have disappeared into the records. However, the fact that citizens are doing the PD's job in not only this case but the Kiley Rohdni case should be a clear sign of the lack of good PD work in our communities.

I had a friend who was murdered January 17 2014 and the murder was never treated as such. They basicaly acted as if he froze to death on accident. I wish someone would open that case up. God bless!
How about a missing mother of 3 found deceased in a wooded area with gun shot wound to abdomen, ruled as a suicide. After reports of two men forcing her into a white vehicle, the vehicle crashed and she was found not far from the accident a month later. Good ol Alabama police work. Definitely a suicide 🙈🙈

I agree 100%. Annie’s 10 to Life channel has become my favorite, I go to her channel before all others. She does a great job on getting the facts out and getting them correct. And I pray Dylan is found soon. I’m so sad for Candice, Justin & the rest of the family and have been following his case from the beginning when I first got the notification from Nate Eaton @ East Idaho News. As a mother no matter my childrens age or situations presented I’d never stop looking, fighting, questioning, or whatever necessary means needed until my last breath. My oldest is 18 and for me this hits so close bc of their age being so close and my sons love for farming as Dylans. I pray answers are found and that the family has peace through the process
My daughter is fourteen now but no matter what age she was I would walk through hellfire to find her, no matter what. I'm glad Dylan has parents who care for him. It's scary and sad to think about all the people who don't have people who love and will fight for them and the "professionals" don't do their job so they're just forgotten.
Dylan’s parents are definitely handling LE’s incompetence with a lot more grace and patience than I would be able to. I feel for them missing their child every day-knowing that they are so alone in his search. So sad.
I hope they don’t feel alone. The police may be terrible but at this point, they have people all over the world who care and are preying for Dylan’s safe return…or at least a conclusion for the family.
IT is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I have never seen any branch of LE hold a press conference on this young man. His life and disappearance are just as important as Quinton Simon's, Debbie Collier, Kiely Rodney and all of the missing people in this Country. Breaks my heart Dylan was just trying to live his dream. Which a amazing feat for someone so young. He put in crazy amounts of work and time. Its so sad people like him who are not afraid to go out put in the work and achieve amazing things are a inspiration to the rest of us.

I couldn’t agree more with you about that horrendous police dept. They should be ashamed. The fact his family is doing tons of more work than the police there have ever even thought about doing is disgusting. I’m so glad HeavyD is helping them still. He’s an amazing family man as well as his whole team. I saw where he recently went and helped a family recover the husband/dad who crashed his plane and died in a no fly zone area in a park. The family was trying to raise $50,000 to be able to do that and he did it for free as well as other men. He’s truly an angel on Earth.
I've been following this case since Dylan had only been missing under 2 weeks and I just feel with everything in me that answers are absolutely coming. His mother hit the ground with a force like I've never seen before and when I say this family has done EVERYTHING as far as the investigation goes, they've done EVERYTHING on their own and it's disgraceful that our taxpayers dollars pay civil servants to do absolutely nothing only to eventually draw a cushion of a pension in old age all the while being hailed heroic and keeping their community and our country safe. Box Elder deserves nothing close to the shield and blues our true LEO heroes shed blood and sacrifice for. Shameful and a disregard for human life just as much as the cowards that killed Dylan!

Spot on Annie, the way this case has been held is utterly disgraceful I have no ears for their excuses, someone's child has been murdered, not only will they not do their job they won't let anyone else do it to assist in getting justice for Dylan and his family. I don't know why this case means this much to me, but my heart breaks for this determined young man(still really a boy), with dreams that people his age mostly don't have. This case...brings tears to my eyes, although I'm always trying to suppress my emotions (being quite emotional and empathetic person). I hope they all will get justice, the ones they deserve. Dylan and his family one kind of justice, those who have harmed him(and by doing so, his family), much more worse kind of justice...in this case, I'd like it to be a death sentence.
I was hit really hard by this one too. Looking at his picture brings tears to my eyes. He looks so innocent and sweet and to be THAT determined at such a young age?! I know, and it breaks my heart, there won't be an outcome I would like to, but at this point, I want justice for him and, of course, his family, but I also wish that this nightmare ends and they can get his remains and be able to have a place to go to. To mourn, to talk to him... Not knowing is what's killing people slowly.

It's unbelievable to me that a case cannot be taken from a department when it's been so terribly irresponsible with it. Especially a missing persons case where time is extremely important. The family would be better off with their own P.I. at this point.

OMG When my brother was missing...there were sooooo many people adding in details. It was like a horrific game of telephone. There are still theories floating around about what happened to him despite him already having been found and put to rest. It is so frustrating for the family. I had people calling and telling me these stories that were nightmarish. It was meant to be helpful but ultimately it was cruel. Please do not add items or speculate, State only verifiable facts, otherwise, it will take that much longer to get answers.

In Brazil we have a police process that's called PREVENTIVE ARREST In witch law enforcement can arrest for 30 days some one if the suspect are in risk of: 1 - flee, 2 - threaten witnesses, 3 - distroy evidences
We do have that here but it is used mostly in cases where they know they will get the evidence needed, right away, to keep the suspect there in the mean time . If they do it to early and can’t get the evidence needed, they have to let them go and it could mess up the prosecutions case. They have a shot time frame so it isn’t used a lot of times so it doesn’t cause a mistrial when a conviction is necessary
@@familyof1052 i see. Here we can't do it anytime, and as often as needed. If this tool had been used in this case, the principal person of interest would not have been able to dispose of the garbage bags roght in the face of law enforcement.
@@Patricia-lts that is very true! It seems odd in this case. Usually they will still get a warrant for search/seizure and hold them for questioning. They can hold for questioning for up to 72 hours. If they dont find enough evidence in the 72 yours they have to release but this case seems like it has been a little off on the handling
@@familyof1052 i would have him folowwed to the disposal site. Once it's there, i can get the trash anytime i want. I always tell my husband. In US there's no such thing as "unsolved crime" there's only lazy police work. With your knowledge and tools, you guys just have to put the tools in place and do the work. Us investigation and forensics are the best. This Dylan's case makes me so mad. Small towns are dangerous than big cities
@@Patricia-lts agreed! We lived in a VERY small town for a couple years and i didn't believe some of the stories i heard about the police department there until i had to deal with them first hand. It was like one of those movies you watch where the police do whatever they want, whenever they want, to whoever they want. Espcially if you are new to the town and didnt gow up there. We moved because of it. Its scary knowing things like that are actually happening and im afraid this case is one of them.

Clearly, you do not understand the legal constraints on the Police when a suspect “lawyers up”! They cannot interrogate him again unless he literally waives that right. This applies while he’s waiting for a lawyer to take his case. At the beginning and, as in this case, in the middle while he’s waiting for the court to appoint a new attorney for him.

This county is messed up I grew up in box elder county. I went to school with a girl named Nicole Barlow that went missing and was found nude in the bear river and despite all of this nobody has been held accountable for her death. Even with numerous other sketchy things like her bf at the time trying to sale her phone before her body was found. RIP Nicole and praying for Dylan and his family!

I looked this up and find it very strange that they have ruled NO foul play after finding her nude! Just doesn’t sit right. One article claimed they found morphine and methamphetamines in her system and ruled her death an accident. They blame drugs for a lot of suspicious deaths when in fact it has nothing to do with their cause of death.
Why was she nude? Why did her bf have her cell phone??? Did they bother to see if her phone and her bf’s phone was pinging from the same area while she was missing?? Sounds like an obvious thing they would do but considering how they’re handling Dylan Rounds case I would be more shocked if they did rather than didn’t! It seems to me they are purposely avoiding finding real evidence!

It would sound that numerous families could come together and file a class action lawsuit against Box Elder’s police chief and DA. I believe it a huge push to that is made, there would be significant changes in that community

I think I’ve put in a request but you should definitely look into the case of Trish Haynes. She went missing while living with two very sketchy people (who are currently both incarcerated) for other crimes. They found her body in a washer in the middle of a pond. & nobody has been held accountable. I respect how you go about covering these cases so much & think you’d do a great job of getting some eyes on this case & bringing it attention. 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Charges were finally filed , he has court April 24, but it's his first appearance, but at least someone has finally been charged. LE has had evidence since july2022 to file charges but just now did it.

Thank you for a very informative video. I was in Law Enforcement for 28 years and would like to tell you what I believe is the issue with Box Elder Police. In most areas of the US when officers are hired they are required to attend in depth training. However, in this case I believe that it would be VERY difficult to hire someone to work in such a remote area. Because of this, I firmly believe that their staff is most likely a matter of hiring ANYONE that is willing to carry the badge and live/work in the immediate area, meaning "locals". Many years ago my father was "deputized" where we lived in Idaho because it was such a remote area. I believe you will find that no one at Box Elder Police has ever been trained to investigate anything and they are "flying by the seat of their pants". Add to that the very small community and you have the "perfect storm" for incompetence. If Jim Brenner had a felony warrant at the time they were observing him moving items and they didn't follow him to find out where he took those bags, that is another example of incompetence. Lastly, I know I have missed some videos, but has anyone dug up that dirt pile where the boots were found? I know it seems simplistic but "leave no stone unturned".

Incompetence is a much too kind word, I prefer to call it stupidity. Their moto is leave no stone unturned unless it can be hauled away in plastic bags, that way we don't have to deal with it.

Well, I think it's now pretty obvious who the killer is. It's a shame someone felt so shitty in their own miserable life and killed a young man who wanted nothing more in this world than to be left alone on his farm, his pride and joy, to work. I'm sooo sick of seeing so damn many good young people taken from this world far too soon for no good reason! It's just sick and wildly unfair.

We’re in a new day and age in so many ways when it comes to true crime because private citizens like Heavy D and Adventures with Purpose have resources to offer that law enforcement just doesn’t. And LE will either have to accept the help or stand aside, because there’s no reason for family members to not utilize every potential resource in finding their missing loved one. I live a few hours from Dylan’s farm and my daughter is his age, so my heart has been with this family from the beginning.

I've seen PD more useless and incompetent and courts more useless and incompetent. It happens more often than anyone would ever like to admit in the US. Our criminal justice system fails all of the time. Thank goodness for the people who have helped, the people who have helped actually search, the people who are attempting to get true justice for Dylan. It should be those people that are on the payroll when they do PD's job. The strength the family has in this case is massive or his case would have disappeared into the records. However, the fact that citizens are doing the PD's job in not only this case but the Kiley Rohdni case should be a clear sign of the lack of good PD work in our communities.

I had a friend who was murdered January 17 2014 and the murder was never treated as such. They basicaly acted as if he froze to death on accident. I wish someone would open that case up. God bless!

How about a missing mother of 3 found deceased in a wooded area with gun shot wound to abdomen, ruled as a suicide. After reports of two men forcing her into a white vehicle, the vehicle crashed and she was found not far from the accident a month later. Good ol Alabama police work. Definitely a suicide 🙈🙈

As a mother no matter my childrens age or situations presented I’d never stop looking, fighting, questioning, or whatever necessary means needed until my last breath. My oldest is 18 and for me this hits so close bc of their age being so close and my sons love for farming as Dylans. I pray answers are found and that the family has peace through the process
My daughter is fourteen now but no matter what age she was I would walk through hellfire to find her, no matter what. I'm glad Dylan has parents who care for him. It's scary and sad to think about all the people who don't have people who love and will fight for them and the "professionals" don't do their job so they're just forgotten.
Dylan’s parents are definitely handling LE’s incompetence with a lot more grace and patience than I would be able to. I feel for them missing their child every day-knowing that they are so alone in his search. So sad.
I hope they don’t feel alone. The police may be terrible but at this point, they have people all over the world who care and are preying for Dylan’s safe return…or at least a conclusion for the family.

I couldn’t agree more with you about that horrendous police dept. They should be ashamed. The fact his family is doing tons of more work than the police there have ever even thought about doing is disgusting. I’m so glad HeavyD is helping them still. He’s an amazing family man as well as his whole team. I saw where he recently went and helped a family recover the husband/dad who crashed his plane and died in a no fly zone area in a park. The family was trying to raise $50,000 to be able to do that and he did it for free as well as other men. He’s truly an angel on Earth.

I've been following this case since Dylan had only been missing under 2 weeks and I just feel with everything in me that answers are absolutely coming. His mother hit the ground with a force like I've never seen before and when I say this family has done EVERYTHING as far as the investigation goes, they've done EVERYTHING on their own and it's disgraceful that our taxpayers dollars pay civil servants to do absolutely nothing only to eventually draw a cushion of a pension in old age all the while being hailed heroic and keeping their community and our country safe. Box Elder deserves nothing close to the shield and blues our true LEO heroes shed blood and sacrifice for. Shameful and a disregard for human life just as much as the cowards that killed Dylan!

I don't know why this case means this much to me, but my heart breaks for this determined young man(still really a boy), with dreams that people his age mostly don't have. This case...brings tears to my eyes, although I'm always trying to suppress my emotions (being quite emotional and empathetic person).

It's unbelievable to me that a case cannot be taken from a department when it's been so terribly irresponsible with it. Especially a missing persons case where time is extremely important. The family would be better off with their own P.I. at this point.

OMG When my brother was missing...there were sooooo many people adding in details. It was like a horrific game of telephone. There are still theories floating around about what happened to him despite him already having been found and put to rest. It is so frustrating for the family. I had people calling and telling me these stories that were nightmarish. It was meant to be helpful but ultimately it was cruel. Please do not add items or speculate, State only verifiable facts, otherwise, it will take that much longer to get answers.

This goes beyond negligence or shotty detective work. This PD is ACTIVELY working AGAINST this case. They need to be held accountable. This is unacceptable.

I have been following this case. It really upsets me how the police have handled this. I don't trust them. I believe they have lied and covered so much up. I pray his mother gets the answers she is fighting for. She's an amazing woman.

In Brazil we have a police process that's called PREVENTIVE ARREST In witch law enforcement can arrest for 30 days some one if the suspect are in risk of: 1 - flee, 2 - threaten witnesses, 3 - distroy evidences
We do have that here but it is used mostly in cases where they know they will get the evidence needed, right away, to keep the suspect there in the mean time . If they do it to early and can’t get the evidence needed, they have to let them go and it could mess up the prosecutions case. They have a shot time frame so it isn’t used a lot of times so it doesn’t cause a mistrial when a conviction is necessary

Here we can't do it anytime, and as often as needed. If this tool had been used in this case, the principal person of interest would not have been able to dispose of the garbage bags roght in the face of law enforcement.
@@Patricia-lts that is very true! It seems odd in this case. Usually they will still get a warrant for search/seizure and hold them for questioning. They can hold for questioning for up to 72 hours. If they dont find enough evidence in the 72 yours they have to release but this case seems like it has been a little off on the handling
@@familyof1052 i would have him folowwed to the disposal site. Once it's there, i can get the trash anytime i want.
I always tell my husband. In US there's no such thing as "unsolved crime" there's only lazy police work.
With your knowledge and tools, you guys just have to put the tools in place and do the work.
Us investigation and forensics are the best. This Dylan's case makes me so mad. Small towns are dangerous than big cities
@@Patricia-lts agreed! We lived in a VERY small town for a couple years and i didn't believe some of the stories i heard about the police department there until i had to deal with them first hand. It was like one of those movies you watch where the police do whatever they want, whenever they want, to whoever they want. Espcially if you are new to the town and didnt gow up there. We moved because of it. Its scary knowing things like that are actually happening and im afraid this case is one of them.
