I have this set in a Schecter and it's absolutely awesome. I own a lot of pickups, just about every brand out there, but this one is the best, especially for metal.
Yeah, that sounds very ice-picky and quite thin. But hey, these are ceramic magnets and these are EMGs. I think nobody would expect a warm mid-focused blues sound to be honest.
@@JulianDaniels In mix with a loud cranking amp nothing cuts through like EMGs. If they are on the harsh side you can always adjust the EQ of your amp and pedals. I dig them for their ability to project, to push through a mix and get your tone out there. I can't think of any other pickups that are as sensitive to your playing, that can punch every note out there.
No, it's actually a prototype-set which I find better than the actual set. But if you're interested , the Gary Holt set just consists in an 81 and 89R. So you can get the 81TW and the 89R in red seperately, and then you'll have the GH Set with full split functionality.
@@JulianDaniels those would go better together though i’d like to get an 89x/58x since their other 6-string humbuckers seem to pair with certain others in a more obvious way as the 89/58 would probably go good together though more compression than headroom

Which schecter? I'm bouta buy a hellraiser V and I'm curious if you got the same
Wow so much spectrum of sound tremendous clarity and punch
I'm actually looking at a set of 81TW & 89. This video helped a lot, thanks. 👍
I have a question can you really coil split the bridge pickup? Thanks
Can‘t really remember exactly if they were split or tapped. But there are official versions of those pickups.

Super, das hatte ich gehofft! Danke für die schnelle Antwort!
Holy Ice Pick Bat-Man!! The 81TW deserves a better demo.

As far as I know the Set doesn't have the option for splitting the bridge pickup. Is that new?

@@JulianDaniels Ah that makes sense, thanks man! 🤘🏻

Seitdem du auf der Halde warst, musst du dich eigentlich umbenennen in:
