I have a question and I’m not sure if you’ll be able to answer it, but I’ll try anyway!
I have a person designing a large logo for the back of a t shirt and I’m the printing company wants the logo file to be the exact size we need for the back of the shirt so they don’t have to scale it. The designer is not sure how to get it to scale to an in real life size in illustrator. Do you have any recommendations?

But how do you make a larger image smaller without losing its quality?

Don't know if you found the answer or not, and my solution is not the best thing to do unless you have everything placed and want to export. But something I did today because my items were still moving out of place was that I imported the Illustrator file into After Effects as merged footage. Then I hit the continuously rasterize button and scaled up or down. I just made sure to have the composition set to whatever size I needed, and then rendered it out as a png. I did this for scaling up, but it should work the same for scaling down.
