"When you're Asian growing up in America, you think you're looking at yourself in the mirror. But you're really looking at yourself through white America's eyeballs". Fire quote!
I referenced this quote in my video..talking about Asian Americans and the things we deal with.

Omg I love that..."you can't complain about harvest time when you didnt plant anything!" this is the story of my life. When I was a young girl, I wanted to be a model and actress. I never got that much work and when I did get work, I was always the lowest priority. They always paid more attention to the white girl by giving her the prettiest dress and by making sure her make-up was perfect and she always had the most camera time. We also got paid less. When we did a group shot, I always had to stand behind the white girls or to the side. The worst part is that Asian designers, photographers and art stylists often reinforce this and never did anything to correct it. So I always felt less pretty and less valuable. Finally Jon is fixing this! Anyhow decided to quit this world and I ended up going back to school and studied finance. I now joke that I traded in fashion modeling for financial modeling but to this day it still hurts.
