Not to abase myself too hard at the feet of the almighty algorithm, but the more unhinged the deck title the harder to resist the allure of the Wheeler/Serge throwdown.

Boros equipment is pretty unhinged

Another Showdown, another stats update. After today's match, Wheeler is rolling better than his opponent 69% of the time, thus outperforming a statistical average by 19%. Additionally, since Wheeler has only been absent one match of North 100 Showdown, his extreme die-roll-winningness has pushed down the average die roll % of a north 100 player to 39% (Wheeler at 69, Serge at 36, Nelson at 13). This gives Wheeler a die rolling VORP (Value over replacement player) of +30%. As for the rest of today's stats, Wheeler won the match on the play, bringing him to 69% winning overall and 76% winning on the play. Today's match brings Serge to 26% winning on the draw and 33% winning overall.
RIP to that one guy who wanted the Serge on the play and Wheeler on the draw update. Maybe next episode.

I loved your episode of North 100 Showdown that premiered on Tolarian Community College
After seeing some of the names of Canadian Highlander decks, I’d love to see a podcast episode where someone makes a list of fake deck names and they have to make up the basic idea of the deck list to match.
Less than 9 minutes in and this video has everything: hilarious deck names, strange jump cut, offhandedly quoting an incredible song, creatures I hate in graveyards. What a wonderful series.

Normally when a mistake like this happens, I'm always a little sad that we didn't get to see the full nonsense. Here, I'm just baffled how nuts Inti is - never would have caught that interaction in a million years.
The amount of joy a North 100 showdown brings me is insurmountable
I love that not 3 minutes after Wheeler points out how cracked Inti is and talks about Serge misplaying it neither of them catch that Channeling Eiganjo counts as discarding a card and triggers Inti.
And notably Inti would have lived through Wheeler’s Eiganjo with 5 toughness
@@clintonmoore9783I think the +1/+1 counter is only added for discards to the attack trigger itself, not for all discards; the Eiganjo channel would have just exiled another card from the top.

"A thoroughly researched pile of cards" is an apt desciption of the majority of my commander decks

Weird time skip at 7:08. Cards appear on the board that were not there and Wheeler's life goes from 20 -> 17 with out a mention of how the damage was done.

Serge, you may remember me as the guy who tapped you on your stitches arm and honestly thought I'd killed you. Hey Serge I have a boros commander deck that has similar play but I use goblin rabblemaster and krenko king pin to bust wide using my equipment I enjoyed the video thanks very much

The annoying thing about disguise is that even if you do decide to play both unyielding gatekeeper and den protector, it's still obvious which is which because one has ward.

I feel like Serge would do better, if he played more interaction and card draw and fewer "cool cards". His decks are cool, but he rarely get to do the stuff that he wants to, because he gets shut down too easily and isn't able to make his way through his deck fast enough.
Does Call of the Conclave count as a watchwolf?
I'm surprised by treetop village and not the new green white man land from Ixalan. They both enter tapped anyway, but I guess village is cheaper to animate

I'm starting to think it's not that Wheeler has good luck in dice, but that Serge is just unlucky against Wheeler specificly, thoughts ?
Honestly at this point this is my thought too. Wheeler ALWAYS has the answer in these games. And I mean looking back - repeatedly draws The One Ring or WPA. Never seems to get land screwed. One could say “oh that just means it’s perfect deck construction” but no deck construction accounts for this level of luck.
