I understand people like the peter parker ( holland ) from no way home best for his motivations, but he always cares about people not dying, even if they are his foes he won't kill them and that even shows in homecoming when he saves vulture, he is great in my eyes.
Oh my God, there was sooo many breakdown videos where they finally found out that there is a milisecond scene in the actual movie where the soul stone is used during this fight, seeing this makes it so much more clear and not a mystery when he used the soul stone. Still would have loved to see this scene fully added to the movie, shows more of Mantis powers, shows more of Spidermans leadership and also shows the Soulstone. SO many important things happening in this short scene.
Now I want to see more of Peter and Mantis. I have a theory that Mantis might use her vague powers to somehow make the Gamora from the past share the same memories as the Gamora who died. I think that there was a scene where Mantis did touch Gamora at some point and when she touches the Gamora from the past, the new Gamora's memories won't be hijacked, per se, but she will kinda have subtle memories of the Gamora who died. There are like two Guardians of the Galaxy projects comings before Vol. 3, the holiday special and the Groot special, so we can expect to see a lot character driven plots before some crazy sh't unleashes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Yeah, this second paragraph has nothing to do with Peter, it's just something I'm throwing out here.
Mantis is an empath, not a telepath. She reads emotions rather than memories. You’re definitely on to something with her potentially being a vital part of Quill and Gamora reconnecting, but it’d have to be through feelings rather than memories.
