Your GS is looking really good Norm, very lucky to have you as its restorer .Some successes for me as the replacement Motorworks supplied sidestand enlarger for my low chassis GS has arrived..and fits. I managed to sell on the standard ones in less than a week! Well pleased .
Got the news yesterday afternoon that the YSS rear shock from the factory in Thailand is due to arrive by the end of next week🥳. So the end is in sight🤔. Good news about the side stand enlarger from Motorworks.
@@normski3091 Good new about your YSS shock .I was horrified about the cost you mentioned of replacement of rear esa shocks that both our LC bikes have. Even more so that they still fail .Vlogger Paul Griffiths latest video tells his tale of financial escape...just .
Hi Norm, I have a 2002 1150gsa and a 29.5" inseam! After lowering the shocks, lowering seat mounting and removing foam I cut a inch and a eighth off the center stand. Sidestand ends up where it should be. Putting the bike on the center stand is a breeze. Thank you for posting these videos, I very much appreciate you sharing your experiences.
Hi Norm, I just thought I'd mention that on factory lowered bikes they sometime fit a different centre stand which might be relevant with you changing the rear shock length. Please keep the great videos coming. Mark
You know I think that is a really good point. This is the easiest bike I have ever had to lift onto the centre stand and when I fitted the YSS shock the rear wheel still touched the floor when on the stand😱
You know I was going to do that before I filmed it. Then thought I will wait until shock comes to see if it works🤗. No sign of rear shock yet, Brook Suspension trying to find out if it has even left Thailand 😱
You sir, never cease to amaze me. If you haven't got something, or something isn't right, you just make something. Very clever fella. The bike is looking lovely, and I can see you riding that more than the RT😁 Do you have a link for those spotlights on Amazon please Norm?
Yes! A great effort and patience strong! May you be graced to enjoy it.
Hope so Stephen 🥳

As I'm discovering with my lowered GS ,the sidestand can be different as well .
Side stand just needs a squirt of black paint now Norman 👍😃👍

@@normski3091 at least we can see the details of it unpainted..... that's why you didn't plaint it Norm 👍
