I've found that leds that hang upside-down get the water from moisture condensation. Kinda like a cold soda can gets wet outside. Leds get hot where the bulb screws in and produce condensation and the actual light isn't warm enough like a regular bulb so the moisture just drips down and collects. Since they don't need vacuum, I don't know why they don't put a drip hole in them.

Most string light brands make odd lengths of cord at the beginning and end of strands, so when you connect 2 strands, it creates an odd gap where they are connected. Any way around this? Great video!

Sandy, I wish there was! The reason there is an odd length on either side is that most outlets are lower in relation to where you are installing the lights so they give you a little extra line to accommodate the height. You can always loop the wire OO and zip tie it neatly if you must. Thanks for the positive comment!

Did you find any bulbs that are actually waterproof?

The newer bulbs with better insulation are working well with no puddles inside. I also put a piece of electrical tape around the base and glass of the bulb 💡 👌
