It's a good thing that DCS has this version of the Su-25. Realistically, they only produced around eight T models and they mostly use the standard version to this very day.
DCS needs the Su-25SM so bad, its the one that we currently see in all the ukraine footage and has updated avionics and sensors compared to the A from the game.
+GrimReapersAtomic *Continuously calculated release point was first used on American hardware.* The USAF / General Dynamics F-111C and USN-USMC / Grumman Iron Works A2F-2N had an attack computer, programming which was the bombardier-navigator's job, to release the stores; the Northrop Grumman F-14E could have taken an improved attack computer. The VKS Rossija / Sukhoi-24M3, -25SM, and -34M2 have a somewhat less precise version of the F-111/A2F system.
I’m new to the game. Whilst I feel like I’m advancing really fast. The tutorial missions in game just aren’t intuitive. I come here and I’m able to ace those missions after 😂😂 your tutorials are worth their weight in gold. Without them I’d have possibly given up on the near future
*Correction: the aimed target was hit exactly, the subsequent flyby doesn't show the 1st convoy on the left side of the road, the 1st convoy on the right side was targeted and hit.* %What's the targeting dot good for if you wait till it's 30° over the target and then drop the bombs? Seems to me that the mark 1 eyeball and intuition were used in your first pass%
From my recent experience I can conclude that the 30 degrees angle is needed to make sure the dot is even visible on the glass. If you fly shallow, it will 'disappear' below your windscreen, since that would be where the bombs hit. You can see it work with the gunpods which you can aim at a 30 degrees angle downwards. Then you can see the targeting dot sliding downwards on the glass as you lower the barrels....
@@oilslick7010 Sorry, but that's completely beside the point and IMO plain wrong. The dot is perfectly visible in the video, the aiming was off on purpose to hit the target. You can adjust the height of your HUD glass. If this is a tutorial for CCIP or CCIR, then it's not intuition/experience and mark1eyeball. Bombs are not gunpods at -30°. Having seen the segment for the 3rd of 4th time now, I can see that my observation was WRONG -> he did hit exactly where he was aiming - the view after doesn't show the convoy on the left side of the street, but he does hit the 2nd convoy on the right side, exactly what he had aimed.
Hey Cap. Sometime in the recent past the I-16 was updated and can now carry 2 FAB-100 bombs. I was wondering if you were planning do a tutorial video on how to drop bombs with the I-16? Thanks.
The oldest bug in DCS. The workaround is to select only one bomb for the run, then while the trigger is squeezed, switch to whatever number of weapons you want to drop with Ctrl+Space.

Thanks again for the great videos. I just got the SU-25 and your videos really help get the most out of it.

nothing like loading up 33 with a bunch of cluster bombs and dropping them all high above area 51
what's interesting that the gunsight doesn't always "need" the laser range finder activated to calculate the weapon's drop point ... is that intended?

Hi Cap, when you get time, any chance you could do a dummies guide to setting up and recording DCS with OBS ? Couldn't get mine to work

wilco thx
Maybe refer to froger as just 25A. Unless trying to make a thing out of "Non T".
Roger, problem is it's not called 25A in game, so I'll get a load of abuse for that...
maybe it's more logical to call Su-25 as Su-25 and Su-25T as Su-25T?XD
CCRP doesn't always work for the SU-25; it's glitchy.

Where is the difference? At both modes you put your aimpoint on target and on both modes you press the trigger and on both modes the laser is active
thanks for your videos; no idea why you getting grief from /r
Mine just drop like they are in CCIP even if I hold down?
Its a shame the ground effects and blast graphics look so crappy. Really takes the fun out of it. Give me Ace Combat 7 any day of the week
Deja vu
Care to explain why that is?
I want dcs so bad
get it then
It sure is a lot of fun if you're into the subject matter but the barrier to entry is about as high as it gets by video game standards.
Western media be like:Wait thats illegal 👁👄👁
Singaporean?
Nope. Singapore never used su25...
Also, Captain isn't Singaporean either
Well spotted, Onslaught is indeed from Sing. I assume he spoke in this vid?
@@grimreapers yea he did spoke in this vid as i recognised his slang from my neighbouring country 🤣 hope to join the reapers soon 😍🤙🏼
