Yoshi is in fact a Male ..this is a video taken with marley the conure when yoshi the Indian ring neck was still young and did not start to develop the ring on his neck.
Both parrot aka parakeets are male.
Edit :September 25 2020
both birds are still in great shape, cage free, living life.
cheers!
the little noise it makes when it hides its face is the cutest thing i’ve ever heard
It's a he u can see in one of the replies in a comment the channel that posted this said it's a he
So dont say it

@@KironKabir wtf lol
I like how he tries to engage the Conure even putting his beak on the Conure's - saying" you got a mouth fella, play the game!!" LOL
So, that's what he was doing. I thought that his owner kissed him on the beak a lot, and figured it was a kiss.
Or "shut up n look for me😁
@@LindaLuxable - No, it looks a little sweet for the conure, I think. You can see it’s wings going out a little (heart shaping) like they do when hormonal and it opened it’s beak on top of the conure’s beak, as if it said, «C’mon, let’s regurgitate a little❣️😘🥰» a.k.a. birdie flirting. I don’t think it is saying «you got a mouth fella, play the game», anyway, that’s how I see it’s behavior. I don’t think INR’s are the brightest of birds, but they are awfully cute and it is funny to see how so many of them seem to like doing and saying the same things, like playing peek-a-boo, saying «what’cha doing?», kissing and saying «thank you» for kisses etc ☺️ Super cute!

Is no one gonna talk about how incredibly smart this birdie must be to understand the concept of peek-a-boo???
No
@@FBIagentObama Yeah, it's more like "monkey see, monkey do" than understanding.
Most birds also know the concept of hello
@@rhnull4523 No they dont, they just copy it when they see it. cause 100% of bird communication is non-verbal, they can understand the tones in your voice, but they dont think "oh, my owner is greeeting me!" its more like " "
that bird is a ring neck, it’s a species from Africa, India and some Asian countries, I have one and he says that since I didn’t even teach him to say that, I thought it was really cute
I love all the different ways he (edit: she*) tries to hide her face before saying peek-a-boo 😂😍

He's trying to get em to speak I think
Since the other bird isnt playing along she makes the "huh 🤷♂️? (where did she go)"-sound by herself when she's hiding. So so cute 🥰

I taught my green cheek conure peekaboo. It's definitely not as clear and he jumps up and down while saying it, but it's still cute when birds learn things like this.
Sara B my conure try but not clear. My Indian ring neck says over 16 different phrases now. .doesn't even squak really ..just talks lol
My conure (Loki) knows a few phrases :I love you, peekaboo, hey you!, sweets, no, yeah, what? (his favourite), i don't know.
Stuff like that, but he really likes to squawk too and won't talk for people other than me.
Sara B I accidently taught my conure, Alister, how to say "love you" since that's what I almost always say when I leave his room
That sounds adorable!
My Conure doesnt talk but I still love him! He does do a squawk that sounds like his name though.
Sara B there is a RUclips that has the cat outside the sliding glass door...the bird plays peekaboo with the cat. It’s really cute.
So cute! She knows how to play: Hiding her face and speaking Peekaboo. She touches her friend like would like to let him know she is playing peekaboo with him.
He , still young thats why no ring yet
That parrot is wondering why her friend isn't amazed at peek-a-boo 🤣
💙👍🌹
How adorable and how intelligent this bird is. Not merely mimicking the phrase but the action tht goes with it.
This is so cute. But he wants his buddy to play too.
His buddy is like: uhm? What?

Incredibly adorable. Even played “ got your nose!” at 43 sec mark. 🥰
Their particular to one person only if one person does most of the work
I really want an Indian Ringneck. They're beautiful. And their voices are so cute. Especially yours its so cute.
I live in Pakistan we have those here too
I've had 8 of them at one time. They've got great personalities. Most are extremely animated and funny. They learn speech very easily if you're patient with them.
I have one
They make extremely loving pets. They need alot of time & attention
Its sad to say that its illegal in India to keep an "Indian ringneck" because it has been classified as native wild life.
I love the quick little scurry to hide her face when she finally gets the conure’s attention
Awwwww

They were there even before jesus was born.
Wasn't it Jesus' dad that created them in the story? I think they developed from a piece of rock circling round the sun.

Aww such a cutie, she's like "why don't you talk with me,"? " I said peek a boo."
"Hello"
That's ADORABLE...!!! Having been in the avian field for nearly 30yrs now. And had theprivilege of working "hands on" with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey and Budgies to Macaws. Plus currently owning 6various species of parrots from small too large. These IRN's never cease too amaze me with their clarity of speech and overall vocal ability. They are right up their with African Grey's in my honest opinion. Man this makes me really miss my Keiko A LOT. He was a male gray IRN the love of my life and boy could he talk up a storm. And he would talk too my Green Cheek who i lost recently as well as my Keiko. So this really hits me hard seeing these two together like this. And they all have that same cute voice no matter the IRN i hear talking. They are great birds however they do require A LOT of time. Because if you don't spend time with them many will revert too a "wild state" again and can become quite nippy. They also go through a very difficult adolescent stage up until they reach 2yrs which is right around when males start showing the rings around their necks. Females are a bit larger lack the ring around their necks and tend too be a bit more laid back and don't mind being touched. Where as males you have too work harder with them on that. Otherwise, they are great birds quite hardy and can make excellent pets with someone who is experienced in keeping Asiatic parrots. Their larger cousins the Alexandrine are often the better pet over the two birds. And can talk with just as much clarity as IRN's or Indian Ringnecks.
This is one of the cutest things I've ever seen 😍 ❤️
Such a smart and incredibly cute bird...... and he wants to play sooooo bad!
Aww hes so cute trying so hard to play with his friend
peek a booo as he spits out his beer with laughter
I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES RIGHT NOW ITS SO CUTE
The little voice, the repeated attempts for a reaction to the PEEK-AH-BOO - I am dying of cuteness here.
The way he's saying peekaboo is cracking me up 😂 So cute!!
I am stunned ! I had a conure ( exactly the same as yours ) and a ring neck hybrid ( similar to yours ) and they used to play peek a boo all the time . Our conure was a bossy fella..not chilled like yours is. They are absolutely gorgeous !!!!! I miss my fellas so much. Love the video....thanks for sharing them
Indian ringnecks are one of my favorites.. Noticed this was posted some years ago.. are these 2 still well?? 🤞🏻 I hope so. Peace & Love to everyone in these times of hardship. Remember, we must stick together if we're to make it through this. ❤️

Probably because you're referring to her as "the girlfriend".
But we both know that if she was real, you'd say "my girlfriend".
TheDetonator42 don’t be jealous
She’s thinking “why isn’t he paying attention to me?!”......I know, I’ll go nibble on his beak”.....”nope, ok that didn’t work, let me try that again”....., hmmmmm, I can’t figure this one out, this one is gonna require some planning” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He’s like “I’m gonna make these beautiful colourful birds that can mimic their human owners by repeating words”
“Shazzzaamm!!.....did it work?!!” 😳
what a sweet Bird. also a BEAUTIFUL one and even Perfect Looking.
So, he's kind of a one-trick-pony, but it IS a really good trick.

Really thought the bird would mimic Rodney Dangerfield and say 'Let me tell you, I get no respect' That would be really funny.
They say the peek a boo bird is now in a bird asylum... Poor little guy was broken he never ate or sleep just played peek a boo all day and night.
