I have been machineing parts for my steam engine and your videos are very helpful to me making the parts. Thanks for the get videos.
Glad to help
Keith, some beautiful engines there.
Thanks Keith
to be completely honest you could do a hour long video of any steam engine chuffing away and I would be very happy just because the sound puts me to sleep in my chair and I love it
Cheers.
These are some of the most beautiful and fascinating machines ever made and not all of them have been on the channel before, I hope we get to see more of them in the future.
I was hoping to see a video of the Majestic Major in flight at some point, will that be coming up any time ?
That engine at about 4:45 is really quiet! :-)
Cool I really like models we I like wilesco
Keith, I especially liked the last red one. Can you tell me the make/model? Thanks, and enjoyed the video.
It is a Double Tangye type steam engine, castings may be available from www.blackgates.co.uk or from www.ajreeves.com
Keith I don't remember the big brass and raw metal vertical ( that's a "James coombs engine right, have you featured it before? I'll happily go find the series if you can point me the right way?
And yay! The black workshop engine! I always liked that one, bouncing along on top of the tires!
This is is a large one off freelance model of a Table Engine. The engine belongs to a friend of mine.
Here is the full length video about it: ruclips.net/video/4VKM0SQnrIo/видео.html
Would you consider doing a slow motion video explanation of why the Stuart vertical engines can be reversed seemingly instantly? I don't understand how this mechanism works, and I've never seen one in person. The crank must need to stop and change directions, right??

What size is the smallest steam engine that could drive a 16ft open canoe?
Probably a Stuart Number 4

@@keithappleton will do some digging ,I was at their workshop in Guernsey once about '97 to pick up a double ten, didn't realise they still made the larger ones.
@@keithappleton how about a twin7V ?1" bore and stroke..
