Silicon Valley Girl btw, regarding the investments I’d really encourage to wait... if I’m fact a recession is coming, which is likely because:
      1. Recessions are rather cyclical, it’s 12 years since the last one, there is a strong expectations within the financial industry that a recension might strike if other conditions are right
      2. Other conditions are in place, the coronavirus is slowing down business for many industries (aside for the online mentioned by you), we will only truly see the impact after companies (fashion, travel, retail, entertainment) will show their numbers for Q2 2020.
      3. Oil price war puts a lot of distress in the markets.
Therefore, buying now, just before a likely recession is very tricky. SP500 has a high of 335 just recently, I would wait till late summer, till a resistance level of around 75%-70% of this value to get on the bandwagon. Do something around 230. But then again, it’s just my personal, biased opinion.
REITs are not bad for this environment though
      Cheers!

Odessa does not panic, but this is getting really depressing. We’ve just had a severe flu epidemics here, and this is the third time we’re going through this thing here. Flu has been circulating here for over 3 months already, this is the longest I remember. And the severest, most definitely.

Hello, Geneva here! Generally the situation in Geneva is rather calm (unlike in France or Italy there are still items like canned beans, pasta and canned corn/tuna in stores), however A LOT of employers are preparing remote accesses for employees to enable them to work from home. Border with Italy is closed, I myself was quarantined for a week cause I’ve been to north Italy 2.5 weeks ago. Public transport is rather empty, people are wearing masks. Overall panik is not as strong as in Italy which is in chaos now, but it’s not pleasant ....

Hi from Hong Kong. We started having the first confirmed cases (imported from China) since the end of January and we've been at this for a month. We went from buying masks from all over the world and got our order canceled (our healthcare professionals advise people to wear masks when they are in public), to panic buying toilet papers, rice, hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies. Because our government is not doing enough and we are all taking matters in our own hands. Schools and government facilities are closed. many companies do shifts or home office. Businesses definitely suffer and people are forced to take no-pay day off.
Apart from masks, all other supplies are back to normal. We diligently wash our hands, wear masks, cleaning the bottom of our shoes and our floors with diluted bleach. We shower and put all clothes to wash after we got home, and sanitizer our glasses, wallets and phones when we got home. We put the lid on before we flush. We have single-digit new cases every day. So we slowly start going back to work full time. so we might have new wave of new cases soon.

That was an excellent piece of journalism. It gave me a vivid and comprehensive picture of how the corona virus pandemic is affecting San Francisco. Here in Nagoya, Japan everything is slowing down (or closing down) or clearing out. There are fewer people moving around in the city. There is no panic. Japanese are used to dealing with disasters; both natural and man-made. Almost everyone here has experienced earthquakes and floods. Stories about how people survived the devastating bombing of World War Two are also passed down to younger people. Japanese are survivors. My only "concern" is people's reliance on public transportation. Most people rely, to one extent or another, on the subway, train or bus system to get around. The corona virus can spread easily in a closed transportation "compartment." It's a problem. I like your ideas about how to invest during the pandemic. I am working on a few ideas of my own.

We do not have such a panic as in other cities, but the school said that they could close the school if this continues. Also, one of the teachers said that coronavirus cannot become an apocalypse, since only old people and those who have health problems die from it, and as you know, many are cured of the virus. I did not notice that there were fewer people on the streets, and the shelves in the stores are still full, but antiseptic gels are becoming difficult to find.

Hi from Slovakia. This is the first video from you I haven’t watched but only because it’s enough of it everywhere else 🙈 I’m sorry. Situation in SVK is quite fine (in comparison with other European countries) -> 7 cases so far in capital...but people panic because of prevention steps which came from government. Praying for my family living in Italy 🙏.

Its not the best time to buy shares Marina. See Ray Dalio's predictions from past two years. Markets are expected to correct around 45-55%.. So this is not just because of the virus. The markets were already in the over bought zone since 2019 and corporate debt to liquidity ratio turned pretty bad. I would advise you to wait 2-3 months before buying these shares. Though holding shares for 5-10 years may make profit for you but its better to wait a bit more before you start buying.
    Cheers!

Well, here in my Kazakhstan, coronovirus is coming really really soon, at least our general doctor said it last days. Thank's for your tips and kind words, I was happy to see you today👍👍👍

Living in switzerland. Old & middle aged people are really scared here. Puplic places are really empty. Puplic occasions to 1000 peoples are banned and you need an okay from the goverment for occasions to 100-150 people. Many flights are deleted. People who can, work from home. We have today 645 infected people and 3 deaths from covid19. It stays interesting.

Hi, I am writing this comment from northern Italy. Here the situation for sure isn't pleasant and people started to take covid seriously lately. I haven't gone to school for 3 weeks now and I haven't left my house ever since. But after all, I am glad things are starting to get better since people *finally* decided not to go out. Homeschooling is harder than I thought tho🙃

I can`t say that people panic a lot here. Fortunately, we have an oppotunity to buy all products. We have to keep calm and help people which need it.

Greetings from Miami, FL! Most of all festivals are canceled. But looks like people don't care about world situation at all ) City is full of tourists ( maybe just less than usual). People are everywhere: restaurants, beaches, shops, parks... From my point of view, people are too relaxing here ) we should protect not only ourselves) but also old people, somebody's grandparents or parents or friends) The main idea is that we should prevent the spread... Panic is bad, but relaxing is worse)

Plus, this is also tourist season in Nepal and we expect thousands of visitors from all around the world. To maintain our safety government has put strict rule for visitors from affected regions. I don't know what will happen here in coming days but for now everything is normal here.

Here in Germany there are about 2000 people tested positive with COVID-19. People are panicking. Buying the hell out of supermarkets and grocery stores. There is almost no desinfectant left, people are stealing them from hospitals, even from stations where they care for children who suffer from cancer. Additionally, I've seen some racism towards asian people, in the subway, at my working place. At this point, I've lost my faith in humanity completely. In situations like these, you see the true faces of people which were hidden behind masks a life long. I feel deep disappointment and shame for my home country.

Yesterday one of our officials made a statement about coronavirus, he said coronavirus will be in Kazakhstan this week, and literally, everyone made a lot of jokes about it. But in fact, I didn't hear about the occurrence of it or maybe they covered it up and now they started to think that the time has come to share with us or maybe it is just a precaution..... who knows.....and today I've read that schools are preparing for teaching online. So technically there is something going on, but I'm workin' online and it doesn't bother me a lot......except that I had plans to go to the USA this summer and I'm not sure that they would give me the visa... and of course every pharmacy increased prices for masks. I wish everyone to be healthy and be calm, because panic is more worse, the more we panic the more we do harm
